I slid it out of my pocket and saw Tony's name on the screen. A wave of nausea hit me.

I clicked the little green button and held the phone to my ear.

"What the fuck Bowen?" He was already riled up.

"It's not what you think."

"Oh, I bet it's not! you're such a fucking whore."

"Stop it, I haven't done anything."

"Why the hell should I believe you?"

"Because I'm telling the truth." I stood up and began pacing around the room. I could feel Peter's black eyes watching me, slightly amused.

"Well answer me this," he spat, "Was he in your room?"

"Yes."

"Did he have his hands all over you?"

"No."

He laughed bitterly, "Oh really? So Lorne just lied?"

"No, he just, he wasn't touching me like that, Lorne just assumed the worst."

"So he was touching you."

"Yes, but-"

"No, I should have seen this shit coming. Fuck you slut." And with that, he hung up.

I'd always known that he'd had a temper, but I didn't expect him to blow up at me like that. But could I really blame him? I like to think that in his situation I would act a bit more reasonable, but who knows?

"Well, that didn't sound good." Dark Peter commented nonchalantly.

I stopped pacing and pinched the bridge of my nose in an attempt to hold back the tears.

"Oh shit, you're going to cry."

I just nodded because I knew trying to talk would push me over the edge.

"That's really not necessary. This is when you choose to cry, really?"

I felt the pressure of the tears pressing against the back of my eyes. I pressed my hand to my face to force it back.

"I just want Peter back," I sob, "I just want want my real Peter."

The room was silent for a minute, and I was beginning to wonder if he was just ignoring me. But then I felt arms wrap around me tightly. I leaned into them feeling the tears start to spill out into my hand. The level of affection caught me off guard until he spoke.

"I'm so sorry," Peter said into my ear, in his real voice. The demon was gone, for now.
