you were so excited for the cole's hobey baker ceremony because you were going to surprise him by being his golf partner for the day.

you and cole had been dating for a while, but it was hard because you guys were apart so often. the little times that you were allowed to have together were your favorite things ever.

you and cole were in it for the long haul and you could tell.

you were in your hotel in minnesota which happened to be the same hotel that cole was staying in, so every move was very calculated with the help of brock caufield and robbie beydoun.

you got the text from brock that it was safe to leave and get to the golf course and you made a mad dash for it.

luckily, you arrived there without a spotting from cole and took your spot in the golf cart that was assigned to you and cole.

you only had to wait for a little bit before you saw your boyfriend walking towards you.

when cole saw you, he immediately turned around in pure shock.

"hi cole." you said with a bright grin.

he turned back towards you and you could swear there was a tear in his eye.

"oh cole." you said and got up out of your seat to hug him.

that was probably one of the tightest hugs you had ever been a part of. you didn't know he had it in him.

"i missed you." he whispered and lifted his head to kiss your lips gently.

you kissed him back and then kissed his cheek.

"i don't even need the hobey now. i just want you." cole whispered to you.

you hit his arm gently and a bright smile came into his face.

"you're so cheesy coley." you laughed.

"you love it y/n." he teased.

"okay we need to get going or you won't be in time for your trophy presentation." you said and pulled him along to the golf cart.

you and cole were all smiles all day as you joked through the round of golf. you both shared everything each other missed.

you stood at cole's hip as he accepted the hobey baker.

you were too proud of him. besides cole's family, you were easily his biggest supporter. you never missed watching a game.

the day and night was fun. you and cole stayed together in your room that night.

he held your hand hard as you laid in bed.

"i'm not going anywhere coley." you chuckled and shook your hand out of his grip, "look you left marks."

you and cole laughed together like you always did.

"i just don't want you to leave ever."

"i wish i didn't have to, but i'll be back before you even realize i'm gone." you said.

cole shook his head, "that's never how it goes because i miss you as soon as you're out of my eyesight."

"when did you get so cheesy?" you asked with a laugh.

your next door neighbors in the hotel were probably in hell because that's all you and cole did all night was laugh.

"thank you for being my biggest fan." cole said to you and kissed your temple.

"it's not that hard when i have a superstar for a boyfriend." you scoffed and rolled your eyes.

the laughter couldn't be contained for very long and soon you were hunched over laughing.

"you're so stupid. thank god you're cute."
