"just tell me what's wrong y/n." your twin, robert thomas urged.

you struggled not to let a sob out, "no not when you should be carefree and happy right now." you mumbled and stared at the celebration of the cup going on around you.

"come on. i don't care. i just want to know what's bothering you so much." robert said.

"he fucking broke up with me robert." you yelled out.

"that fucking idiot." robert mumbled and brought you into one of the most comforting hugs you had ever been apart of.

that was over 6 months ago and you had been single ever since. you had found no reason to be in a relationship after you had been so screwed with the previous one. you hadn't even gone on one date.

robert had found that his teammate vince dunn was feeling the exact same way. he had also been screwed over by a girl he fell in love with a few months ago.

"y/n, please go on this date. i know he's a good guy or else i wouldn't let you go."

"vince, please go on this date. you know i would never let you go on a date with someone bad for you."

robert had argued with both you and vince for about a week before finally getting both of you to let in and agree on one date.

"do i look okay?" you asked robert.

robert smiled and nodded, "aww my twin is all dressed up. it's been awhile."

you rolled your eyes and smacked his arm.

"who am i going on a date with?" you asked, so you would know who you were looking for.

"vince dunn." robert said.

you shrugged. you had a feeling that it was going to be one of his teammates. it definitely wasn't the worst possibility of all of them.

"will you still go? i would feel bad leaving vince at the restaurant. i would have to go on a date with him." robert asked.

you nodded, "yeah i'll go."

robert sighed in relief and smiled, "well have fun and we'll talk about it when we get home."

you laughed at him and nodded before walking out the door.

the date with vince ended up going very well and by the end of the date, it was decided that there would be a second date.

a second date turned into a third which turned into a fourth and all of a sudden you were in love again.

the hesitation had diminished as you began to get more comfortable with vince.

you supported vince through the highs and lows of his hockey season.

falling in love felt different this time. it felt much more pure and wholesome then the last.

"y/n, the kraken drafted me."

you smiled and kissed his lips, "oh vince, congratulations. i'm so excited for you baby."

vince smiled on your lips, but the grin slowly turned into a frown.

"what's wrong v?" you asked with a confused look on your face.

"i don't want to leave you. i cant." he said.

you sighed and smiled gently. you got up on your tippy toes and kissed his forehead.

"you can't get rid of me. im coming with you."
