you had probably just had one of the worst weeks of your life. if you thought having a bad day was terrible, trying having a full 5 day work week just suck so much ass.
you couldn't remember a thing that went right and you honestly wouldn't even be surprised if by the end of the day you were fired from your job.
you luckily were not fired by the end of the day, but when you walked outside your eyes landed on some stereotypical vancouver rain.
you ran back up to your office and searched for the umbrella that you almost always kept in there.
the key word was almost because you remembered that you had left that very same umbrella at home.
when you walked outside, you were met with a black car in front of the door that you immediately recognized as your boyfriend elias's.
you quickly hopped in and noticed that in the backseat were two bags.
"what's going on?" you asked.
"i'm taking you on a weekend getaway to help you de stress." elias explained to you with a smile.
you laid your head back on the seat and nodded, "thank you." you mumbled.
elias hummed and nodded.
there was sweet silence most of the time but if there wasn't it was usually gentle conversations between the two of you. the ones that you cherished so much.
elias took you a few hours away from vancouver and rented a cabin with a beautiful lookout.
"this is wonderful elias. thank you." you whispered and turned around to look at his ocean blue eyes.
he smiled at you, "i was hoping you'd like it. we're here to get away from the stress."
elias brought you into a close hug.
"how about a nap in that hammock over there?" you asked.

there was a red hammock strung between two trees that looked fairly new because it hadn't been damaged by the sun yet.
elias nodded, "i'll get a blanket." he said and jogged off.
you ran outside and jumped into the hammock. elias came out with a big fluffy blanket to cover the both of you.
elias climbed in slowly making sure to not dump you right off, though that would have been interesting.
elias kissed your forehead and lulled you to sleep with a hand rubbing your waist under your shirt.
when your eyes fluttered open, the sky was a beautiful orange and red haze. it was an utterly gorgeous mix of colors.
you turned around in elias's grasp to kiss him awake.
he groaned gently and stretched. his eyes opened and you could see the sunset in his eyes.
"look baby" you said and pointed at the sky.
he nodded and rubbed his eyes tiredly, "it's beautiful."
you nodded and stared back up at the sky.
relaxation set in your bones and the horrible week was almost gone from your mind already.
elias always managed to have that affect on you and you absolutely loved it. he took the sadness away and flooded your mind with joy.
"i love you." he mumbled to you in swedish.
those were the few words you knew in his native language and a smile came onto your face every time you heard them. they meant so much to both you and him.
"i love you too. i love you more than anything."
