you were beyond excited to find out the gender of your baby at the shower.
you had carried the little baby for a few months now and you and nikolaj were ecstatic to find out.
of course, both of you had your preferences deep down, but most of all you wanted a healthy and happy baby.
you were having your baby shower today.
"are you ready?" your husband nikolaj asked you gently at the beginning of the baby shower.
"we still have a while until we get to figure out, but yes i am very excited." you giggled and kissed nik's head.
you and everyone at the baby shower played some themed games and talked amongst one another before it was time for the most awaited moment.
it was time to find out the gender of the baby.
lots of the shower guests were wearing either pink or blue as a guess of what they thought the baby was going to be, but both you and nikolaj were in neutral colors.
you had gotten a puck that nikolaj was going to shoot and it would explode into either pink or blue.
one of the guests handed nikolaj his stick and you tapped your feet excitedly.
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
it was as if everything went in slow motion as nikolaj hit the puck and it exploded into a beautiful color.
"WE ARE HAVING A GIRL MY LOVE" nikolaj yelled happily and immediately swept you into his arms.
you giggled happily and kissed his lips.
you were so excited for what the future was going to bring you and nikolaj even more now.
"yeah we are. we are having a little girl." you began to tear up at nikolaj's happy expression.
"this is the best day of my life so far." nikolaj smiled and hugged you even tighter.

after conversing a little more after the gender reveal, everyone filed their way out of the ehlers' household. it was just you and nikolaj.
you went and laid in bed with nik considering it was pretty late.
"this day was amazing." nikolaj smiled at you.
you put your head on his chest and nodded, "it was absolutely perfect."
"i can't wait to see our little girl hayley. i hope she looks just like her mama." nik said with a bright grin on his face.
"i hope she isn't sassy like dada." you chuckled and tapped your bump, "do you hear me little one?"
nikolaj gasped dramatically, "i am not sassy. having a little attitude is good for everyone." he complained.
you laughed even harder.
nikolaj then paused and you looked at him worriedly.
"what? nikolaj, what's wrong darling?" you asked him quickly.
"oh my god hayley, we need to start coming up with names. we have no names to pick from." nik ranted.
the baby was still months away and nikolaj had probably panicked about everything in the book, but you knew that he was going to be the best dad in the entire world. you could count on it.

PINAN: Refuge
All Haeok wants is for his sisters to be safe. Under Japanese rule, security and dignity are scarcities in Korea; and with the world caught in precarious flux, change will shadow the fight for his family’s future.Still- He looks to the north, and dares to hope that the soil of an ancestral homeland might harbor their dream of refuge. This fiction starts in 1942 Korea, during the final years of both the Japanese Empire and of WWII. Out of the necessity of conveying the reality of this time and place to the best of my (limited) ability, there WILL be explicit descriptions of traumatic events for characters. Reader discretion is highly advised. That being said, I hope you enjoy!

This may not be a perfect novel and has many grammar errors and weak characters+plot development, but I’ve been itching to share this story. Hope you enjoy it! And oh do leave your comments/review on how I can improve it.

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.

Star Dragon's Legacy
Millennia have passed since the Dragons had found us. Millennia have passed since they left us, separating the world in plumes of eternal rainbow fire. Millennia have passed since people began to wonder: were we worth saving? Dragons were beings of myth. Now, people do what they can with the magic that works best for them, while trying not to get on the bad side of any powerful fae or nobles. A rare few are afforded the chance to meet credible proof of the Dragons, the undisputed heirs and heroes of this declined age: The Scaled. These Children of Dragons are stronger, hardier, and some would say far smarter that other humans, differentiated only by the horns on their head and scales on their skin. Rael is...not one of them. But Rael does need to protect one. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Don't touch the Patreon button, I still haven't finished setting it up.
