a/n: honestly connor that's how i look at leon too. just shook about how hot he is
you and connor had been saying that you should get going all day because of the big snowstorm that was coming up but neither of you made any move to.
you and connor had only been dating for a few months, but you had completely and utterly fallen for him.
you had been planning to get back to your place the previous day but some wine and connor's comfortable presence got you to stay.
now you were both struggling to get each other moving to leave before the massive blizzard that was going to come got their first.
and when you were finally ready to leave after hours of procrastinating, connor looked outside and shook his head.
"alya, you're not going. the roads look horrible. you can stay another night. just please stay." connor begged and walked over to you.
you looked out his window that was closest to the road and then nodded. you saw that the roads were covered in ice and snow.
"okay con, i'll probably just stay if that's fine with you." you said.
he nodded quickly, "of course it is. i don't want you driving in this."
you set your bag of stuff back down and then smiled, "guess you're stuck with me for a while then." you chuckled.
"wouldn't want to be stuck with anyone else." connor smiled and led you back over to the couch where you were both sitting previously.
connor put an arm around your body and you leaned your head on his shoulder as you and connor's favorite show played on the tv.
after a while connor looked over at you and asked, "are you hungry? because i really am."

you nodded, "yeah i am."
"well let's go find something to eat then since we can't go out of the house." he said and helped you up off the couch.
you walked along behind him as they made it to the kitchen.
you knew connor wasn't the best cook so you chose something that you guys could cook together and that was a pasta dish.
not his regular pregame one, a different one to keep it fresh.
you both playfully bounced around the kitchen to some music as you cooked dinner.
you made some vegetables as well to keep connor in that mid season form that he seems to always be in.
you both sat down at the kitchen table with the music still playing in the kitchen which made a light serenade.
you caught yourself staring at connor every once in a while. you couldn't help it.
connor wasn't too out there or anything but he had his own personality that you adored and felt ridiculously comfortable being around.
"it's crazy out there." you said as you peeked out a window to see the ground and tress littered with flakes of snow.
"yeah it is. just another canadian winter." he chuckled and put a forkful of pasta into his mouth with a little chuckle.
after dinner, the both of you shared a container of ice cream to completely go against the idea of the vegetables.
"can i tell you something ayla?" connor asked as he fed you a spoonful of ice cream.
you nodded while savouring the flavor of the ice cream in your mouth.
"i really really like you." connor began, "and i was wondering if you'd like to um meet some of my teammates and their significant other for dinner sometime soon?" he asked nervously.

you smiled at him and nodded, "i would love too. that seems like the ultimate acceptance aside from parents and family. i hope they like me." you said with a chuckle.
"i'm sure they will because i love you." he smiled and kissed your lips gently.
you smiled at him and blushed gently, "i love you too con con."
those were the first official "i love you's" and they just felt so damn natural.
connor whined, "i told you not to call me that alya!"

Galactic Economics
Humanity enters the galaxy and makes First Contact, only to begin to realize that not everything is at it seems. It appears that the galactic alien community has forgotten to invent some rather important economic concepts that human civilization has taken for granted. This is a look at a hypothetical galactic scale barter economy, how that would work, or how as one of our main characters Sarah realizes... it doesn't. And as the galaxy falls apart at the seams, it's up to the best and brightest in humanity to put things back together. Story contains a lot about markets, logistics, development, and the best and worst of human history. Not so much Space Marines nuking aliens. If you enjoyed the trade negotiations and Senate politics in the Star Wars prequels, and wished that there was an entire standalone story consisting solely of those parts, this might be for you! Galactic Economics is also posted on reddit here.
