you were so excited that you were able to go visit miles. you guys had a long distance relationship and the distance part was getting to both of you lately. all you wanted to do was see him and hug and kiss him, but that wasn't possible.
with the help of a few of his teammates, you were able to set up a surprise for him. you would be flying to jersey.
as much as you hated the long flight it took to get to miles, you knew it would be all worth it when you got there.
nico hischier was kind enough to come and pick you up at the airport and drop you off at miles' apartment.
you thanked nico for the ride and went up to miles' apartment. you knocked on the door. you couldn't help but do a little happy dance as you waited.
you couldn't help but smile when you saw miles' brown curls poked out the door. you heard his gasp and then the door opened wider.
"what the hell! y/n?" miles said and enveloped you in the biggest hug of your lifetime.
you smiled and kissed his lips sweetly. you were beyond excited to see him.
"i missed you so much y/n." miles mumbled into your shoulder.
"i missed you too baby." you said back and kissed his forehead.
miles smiled and pulled you into his apartment, "you have to come to the game tonight. please." he begged.
"i already got tickets from pavel my love." you smiled and he kissed your lips.
"i can't wait. you're my little lucky charm." he smiled and twirled you around playfully.
"i can't wait to watch you miles. it's been way too long." you said.
you and miles cuddled together on the couch before he had to head out to the rink. you were going to be getting a ride with a few of the wags since you didn't have a car and they offered.

you had made it to the seats. you and the other wags were having way too much fun if that was even possible. you cheered, jumped, and sang along with the songs. all until you saw miles slam one of his knees into the boards.
he went down and you immediately got nervous when he didn't get back up. he was rolling around on the ice with a face of utter pain.
you sighed as you saw the trainer and kyle palmieri help him off the ice.
"can i go down there?" you asked the wags.
as soon as a majority of them said yes, you got up and made your way down to the new jersey locker rooms.
"are you y/n y/l/n?" the security guard asked as soon as you got there.
you nodded and showed him your id.
"miles has been asking for you a lot. go down the hall and take a left." the security guard said.
you thanked him for his help and jogged over to where miles was said to be.
you saw him with the trainer on one of the tables. you went and sat next to him. you took his hand and kissed it gently.
"hi beautiful." miles smiled at your presence.
"hi bubs. are you okay?" you asked.
"no not really." he chuckled, "i'm going to go get my knee checked out tomorrow, but the trainer thinks i'm going to be out for a little bit."
you frowned, "that sucks."
miles nodded, "i get to spend more time with you though." he said, looking to the bright side.
you smiled softly at his positive attitude.
tomorrow morning, you both went to get miles' knee checked out and learned that he would be on crutches and out for 6 weeks.

you could tell he was pretty upset, but tried to hide it.
"let's go home and i'll order some pizza baby." you said to miles.
while miles took his shower after pizza, you were working on being granted allowance to work at home for a while so you could help your boyfriend around.
after a little bit of negotiating, you were allowed and you were beyond excited.
"m baby, i have something to tell you." you said happily and hugged him softly.
"and whats that my love?" miles asked.
"i get to stay here with you for a while 6 weeks." you exclaimed.
miles kissed your lips and you saw his eyes light up, "are you serious? please tell me this isn't a joke." he said.
you nodded, "i'm serious. i get to work from home and take care of you. we can spend so much time together baby." you smiled.
miles grabbed your face and kissed your smile, "you've just made this recovery process so much easier and better. i love you so much babygirl."

Sovereign
Is it possible to become a supreme being? After his withdrawal from Space Forces, in which he had spent twenty years of life, Captain Sava Gromov desires an extra reason for his existence. With a vague idea of becoming a merchant, he buys a secondhand spacecraft, loads the cargo, and leaves for an adventurous journey through the Solar System. On his way, he receives an SOS coming from a damaged research spaceship. To rescue the crew in a crisis is the easier part; the harder part comes afterward. The research team discovered an abandoned weapon, originating from a forgotten empire. Unfortunately, not everyone considers the vanished empire harmless. There is an organization actively destroying its remnants. Only two choices remain for Gromov: either to die or operate the unknown weapon in a slight hope that the archaic device may deter his pursuers. Choosing the latter, Gromov assimilates with inhuman digital being into the ultimate symbiosis of the organic and digital world. The Universe turned out to be a dangerous place: full of conflicts, threatening aliens, and unpredictable twists. The unmanageable chaos dwells in desperate need of a unifying force. Will Gromov become the Sovereign of the Solar System? Or will he become the ultimate enemy of humankind? There is an official repository for Sovereign on Github. If you are familiar with Github, you can suggest your edits there.

Thomas the Brawler
Thomas doesn't remember what his last name was, before it became Bluebrim, a name belonging to another universe. He's also pretty sure he wasn't this stupid before he arrived, but what can you do, when a day that was supposed to begin with an interview to set your life back on track instead begins in a universe that makes no sense, with rules you can't begin to understand? Maybe he should have paid more attention to the avatar creation screen ... Content warnings: All of them. Seriously. Expect lots of blue screens to begin with. Don't expect a power-leveling fantasy, in which the lone hero beats up all the bad guys, and gets a harem of women. There's just a guy who treats character creation like an annoying series of pop-up advertisements, and the story is basically the ramifications of that. The main character has to learn to take the world he's found himself in seriously, and he'll learn the way most of us do, by doing it wrong first. This is, insofar as it is successful, a dark comedy fantasy. Also a bit of horror, particularly but not exclusively body horror. I'm pretty sure I've earned those Content Warning tags, so, uh, yeah. This is practice. Hopefully things improve as I go, and figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I make no guarantees things will ever get better. I've already made mistakes, I'll make more, and I'm happy to notice them each time I make them. You don't improve unless you fail. (On the plus side, it probably won't get much worse.) Feel free to point out anything you think I'm doing wrong; I don't promise to change anything, particularly if it's a matter of taste, but I am looking to improve, and figuring out what I need to improve goes faster if I don't have to try to figure it out myself. I've updated the earlier chapters for formatting, in the hope that it would make everything easier to read on mobile devices. Hopefully things work slightly better now, but please let me know if there are any issues anywhere.
