i'm sorry if you're sleeping @mrkaapo :)
"vince, i don't want to go." you complained.
"come on y/n. pretty please." he begged.
your twin brother vince dunn was trying to get you to go to a team dinner with him. his lack of girlfriend left him without a partner for the dinner and he was begging you to go with him.
"vince, i just want to order food in and watch the office alone. i'm busy."
vince smirked, "sammy will be there."
your eyes widened and you snapped your head towards vince.
you looked down at a fake watch on your hand, "looks like my previous plans have been cancelled and i'm open for dinner now."
you had forgotten that sammy would be attending the team dinner because he was, in fact, on the team.
vince laughed, "oh you love sammy more than me and you guys aren't even dating."
you shrugged.
he wasn't wrong you guys certainly weren't dating no matter how much you wanted to be. the endless flirting between the two of you was enough to drive the whole st. louis blues team insane. it was their ultimate mission to get the two of you together, but every time they proved unsuccessful.
"well dinner is formal and it's at 7:30, so i'd suggest to start getting ready." vince smiled.
you nodded and ran off to your room to change into something to fit the restaurant's dress code.
you walked out of your room and saw vince lounging on the couch with dark navy blue dress pants on with a white button up with a tie.
"i'm ready to go v." you said.
"oh y/n, you look beautiful." he smiled, "i know you'd rather hear that out of your dearly beloved's mouth instead of your twin brother's."

"stop vince." you blushed.
"oh save the blushing for mr. blais."
"you look really good too vince." you changed the subject.
"i always do, but thank you y/n/n." vince smirked.
you rolled your eyes.
"alright we gotta go or else we'll be more than fashionably late." vince said, standing up from his place on the couch.
you guys drove to the restaurant and walked to the table where all the blues were.
"ah if it isn't mrs. blais." david perron exclaimed.
"oh my god david. why don't you say it louder for the people in the back?" you shushed him.
"oh don't test me y/n." david smiled mischievously.
you tried to go and sit down by the other boys, but you were quickly pulled away from all of the chairs by vince.
"oh no no y/n, this isn't where you are sitting tonight." vince said with a smirk.
"what do you mean? where else am i supposed to sit?" you questioned, extremely confused.
"oh you'll see. i think you'll really enjoy it."
you were pulled to the whole other side of the restaurant to a secluded table for two. you immediately knew what was up when someone else was being pulled by ryan o'reilly towards the same table.
"dude, what is this all about?" you heard sammy ask ryan.
he was pushed into the seat across from you. you smiled at him. he smiled back.
"you guys are not allowed at our team dinner over there. you will be having a nice private dinner together." vince said.
"vince!" you said sternly.
"sorry y/n, but you guys flirt way too much for us not to do this."
you swung your head back dramatically.
"well i'll see you later love birds." vince and ryan waved as they walked away.

you rubbed your eyes in embarrassment.
"well hey." sammy said with a laugh.
you laughed quickly as well, "hey sammy."
"may i say, you look absolutely beautiful tonight." sammy complimented.
your cheeks turned very pink and you laughed once again, "thank you sammy. you look very handsome as well."
it was his turn to blush.
"can i take your order?" the waitress asked.
you and sammy ordered drinks and food immediately. you spent the time that your food was getting made laughing, blushing, and attempting to not sound like a complete idiot while talking to sammy.
you guys received your food and ate quickly while politely keeping a conversation with each other.
"here's your dessert." the waitress placed a cake down in front of you.
"we didn't order dessert ma'am." sammy said, confused.
"oh my apologies. the large table of boys over there ordered it for you." the waitress pointed.
you leaned over to see what table she was pointing at. you were met with the eyes of st. louis blues.
you rolled your eyes as the whole team waved at you with a smirk.
"alright. that's my brother over there." you said, shaking your head.
the waitress smiled and walked away to tend to other guests.
you looked down at the dessert and noticed there was only one serving and two forks. most definitely planned for you guys to have to share.
"bitches." you mumbled under your breath causing sammy to burst into laughter.
he handed you a fork and both of you dig into the cake not being able to deny the sweet in front of you.
"here's your bill."
sammy reached out to take it, but you held his arm down.
"actually ma'am. can you go hand that to the man with the white shirt and navy pants over there. that's my brother and he'll be paying." you said with a smirk.
"oh of course. have a nice night you two." she said and walked off with the black folder that held the costly bill.
"let's get out of here sammy."
"fine by me."

How to Save a Star [BxB]
“Do you know that stars die?” I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. “Yeah,” he answered. “And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they’re truly dead.” We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from - they hunted us, and killed our hopes. The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made me helpless under its grasp. Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile. DISCLAIMER: This novella primarily contains gay romance. Read at your own risk.

Reaching for One's Desire: Kane's Ascension
After living most of his life as a worthless orphan, Michael Kane only desired for the chance to make something of himself in this world of monsters and magic. In a world where only wealth and power mattered, he was literally at the bottom of the food chain. He fucking hated it. Always having felt that he was destined for something greater than what was essentially a beggar’s life, Michael held hope that things would change with the arrival of the Day of Gaia’s Gift, which happened exactly halfway through the year. It was the day in which everyone that was fifteen years old was given access to the System and was given a ‘Class’ depending on your aptitude, two if you were exceptional and lucky. It was his hope that he was given at least one class worthy of becoming an Adventurer, which would help him start his path to a life of wealth, fame, luxury and pleasure. Being an orphan that never knew his parents and having no one that he cared for nor that cared for him, it was not surprising that these were Michael’s goals.
