sammy had his head laid down on the kitchen table. you watched him from the living room.
he had watched practically every piece of tape of the washington capitals ever to be made. the blues were playing them tomorrow and he was determined to do good, but he was burning himself out from hours of tape.
you walked into the kitchen and leaned your head on his shoulder.
"let's go give a visit to the fishies sammy." you suggested.
he picked up his head, "i would love to sugarplum, but i have to finish watching these."
"samuel blais, you are killing yourself with all this tape. whether you are going to make this hard or not, we ARE going to the aquarium." you scolded.
"demanding honey." he commented.
"now come on. go get ready. we're leaving in 10." you said, pulling him out of his chair.
he stood up and walked into your room to change from his shorts and t-shirt into something more appropriate for st. louis winter.
he came back out with a blues hoodie and some black joggers on.
"thank you sammy." you stretched onto your tippy toes to give him a kiss.
he smiled and grabbed your hand to walk you out to the car.
you arrived at st. louis aquarium. you tried to pay for your tickets, but sammy vetoed that real quick.
you walked into the aquarium and were met with a room of blue lighting. you pulled sammy towards the first exhibit you saw.
you felt like a child again, looking intently at all the fish in the tank. sammy was right next to you also staring into the water looking at all the colorful fish.
"y/n, let's go see the sharks!" sammy exclaimed excitedly as he pulled you towards the large tank.

"look at how big he is." sammy said, following the shark with his eyes.
you giggled at his excitement. apparently, he had channeled his inner child as well.
you guys slowly made your rounds around the aquarium. you made sure to take pictures of sammy discreetly, especially when he was by the frogs.
he thought they were some of the coolest things ever.
"y/n! look at all these froggies!" he exclaimed with a smile.
you laughed and smiled. as he paid all his attention on to the little hopping frogs in the tank.
out of this 1 1/2 hour trip, you had gotten so many adorable photos of sammy around the aquarium. even one with the both of you when an older women volunteered to take a photo of you. it had the shark in the back which had sammy even more hyped up.
"thank you y/n. i needed this." he said to you as you arrived back at your place.
"no problem sammy. i enjoyed spending time with you, adorable." you responded and squeezed his cheeks.
he squirmed out of your grip and picked you up. you placed your head on his chest and snuggled in. he sat down on the couch and began to rub your back, putting you to sleep.
"i am so thankful that you are here to keep me sane."

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
