you held connor's hand as you walked through the beautiful city of buenos aires after a formal dinner. your dress rippled elegantly in the night wind.
argentina was a place that you had wanted to visit for years. now you were here with connor mcdavid, your new husband, for your honeymoon.
you spotted a dance studio across the street where you were walking. you squinted your eyes to see a sign that said 'tango classes'. you gasped.
"what?" connor said worried.
"connor. we should go to a tango class." you pointed at the place across the street.
"calista." he groaned, "you know i cant dance. our first dance was the best i've danced in my entire life."
"please con con." you pouted.
"this isn't fair. you know i can't resist your pouty face." he whined.
you pleaded for a little longer, knowing he would break eventually.
"fine. i'll do it for you." he complied.
"thank you connor!" you exclaimed and kissed his cheeks.
you looked for cars through the streets. seeing none, you grabbed connor's hand and ran across the street and into the dance studio.
"are you looking for a tango lesson?" the woman at the desk asked.
"yes." you smiled.
"we're actually not busy at all so we can fit you at 8 o'clock, 1 minute from now, for a private lesson." the receptionist grinned.
"thank you!" you said excitedly.
"andrea will be your instructor. have fun. your room is the first one on the left." she pointed down a hall.
you nodded. connor placed a guiding hand on your back, gently pushing you in the direction of the lesson.
"excited much?" you smirked at him.
"nope. just want to get it over with." he said.

once you got into the room, you quickly introduced yourself and got the lesson started.
you caught on fairly quickly while connor took a bit longer. he kept stepping on your open toed heel feet.
"i need the bathroom." connor said.
"at the end of the hallway." andrea said pointing.
connor took his hands away from your's and walked down the hall to the restrooms.
"hun, you should set up your phone there and video this." andrea suggested.
you raised your eyebrows and placed your phone where andrea told you to put it and pressed record, ready for connor's return.
soon your dearly beloved returned and you continued dancing. the only reason connor kept going because of his mentality. he didn't want to fail at anything, including tangoing apparently.
at 9 o'clock, you collectively decided that you had mastered the tangoing. everyone was tired.
"thank you andrea." you hugged her.
connor hugged her and thanked her after.
you grabbed all of your belonging and got a car back to the stunning hotel you were staying at.
you watched the video you took and saw the many times that connor stepped on your toes.
you posted part of the video with the caption:
connor mcdavid: great hockey player, terrible dancer
you tagged him in the video and waited for his reaction. he was on his phone when you posted so you knew he would see it.
you knew he saw it when he gasped loudly and laughed.
"calista! you videoed that and then had the audacity to post it." he said dramatically.
you laughed and laughed as he dramatically went on and on.
nhl tagged you in a post.
you clicked on the notification and laughed uncontrollably when you saw that the nhl instagram had reposted it for its 4 million followers.

"what?" connor said.
"connor!" you snorted between laughs and showed him your phone.
his mouth fell open.
"the whole league is gonna see that?" he asked in disbelief.
you couldn't stop laughing as you nodded.
"NO" connor exclaimed as his phone continuously went off.
he shoved his phone towards you to see all the texts flooding in from the oilers group chat.
leon draisaitl: nice moves davo
darnell nurse: tell calista thank you for that beauty
"sorry baby. but it is a glorious video." you kissed him.
"whatever." he said as he kissed back, grabbing your waist.
