the only way soulmates were connected was by a tattoo that was placed on the wrist. everybody has a small tattoo. they were very unique and only matched their soulmate's. the tattoo burned and tingled as you got closer to your soulmate.
you never would have thought that the small tattoo on your wrist would be tingling now, at a toronto maple leafs game. there were thousands of people here and your soulmate could be any of them. the situation really matched your luck.
great, auston had no idea if he had injured his wrist. a burning, tingling feeling meant no good. he could have broke it, fractured it, or sprained it. he sat on the bench and took his glove off. his eyes widened as he realized the source of the burning. he touched the marking on his wrist. thousands of people at the scotiabank arena, but he knew at least one of them he was bonded to. he turned back and looked. he saw a blonde girl rubbing her wrist.
your eyes gravitated towards one of the players, auston matthews. he had taken off his glove and was massaging his wrist in discomfort. he turned around and you locked eyes. you shook off the intense feeling in your wrist that you had felt and smiled at him. he smiled back and waved you down. you walked down to the glass, he did something you couldn't see. auston smiled and threw a puck over the boards to you. you caught it and read it,

you nodded to him. he shot another smile at you and faced back towards the play as his coach told him to get on the ice.
after the game, you rushed to the back of the building. you really hoped that you wouldn't be stood up by auston because you felt a real connection. toronto weather was bitter and it was getting very cold as minutes went past. you jumped as the door next to her opened.
"i'm auston." he shook her hand and the tattoo raged like never before. his sleeve raised and you saw the familiar tattoo, the same one that happened to be on your arm. your eyes widened.
"it's you."

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

At first, he decides on a hardworking, yet peaceful life with his mother, but bad luck wouldn' leave him alone. Forced to journey where he doesn't want to journey, will he overcome his obstacles, change his perspectives, and climb the tower? Or will he sink into the lifeless state, just like many of those around him... Kick back and relax with this book as it's your traditional LitRPG, with a twist or two here and there.
