"Miruko get back here!" hawks demanded/shouted as he chased the rabbit hero who was carrying his raven headed intern fireman style his intern! his!

Miruko needed to get it into her heads that tokoyami had chosen to work for him and not her

so she needed to stop randomly stealing him during a patrol

like right now the two birds were simply walking the streets, keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity

when Miruko had suddenly bounced in front of them

grabbed tokoyami so fast the little light bird didn't have the chance to struggle while saying good morning to the two

and bounced off with him

but like hell hawks was letting her get away with it...again

it has been going for 2 weeks now

and hawks was getting sick of it

no matter how good a friend she was to him

tokoyami was his and not hers

he wasn't willing to share

"your so selfish!" the rabbit hero had yelled as hawks got closer

he could hear tokoyami sigh defeatedly, a perfect sign of him wanting to be saved by his true mentor

tokoyami was just bored with this new routine

he didn't even know why Miruko was so determined to steal him away from hawks

was it because she was so amused by hawks reaction?

the first time this happened he couldn't hold back his embarrassment, he thought it was some sort of exercise to try and break free from an unexpected villain grasps

but when he did she literally stopped for a moment, swaddled him with his own cloak so tightly he couldn't even move his arms or legs and continued to hop before hawks had finally got him back

he felt like a proper baby, so he simply didn't fight back because it would soon be over and wouldn't be swaddled to give him a little more dignity

he constantly asked her why she did this humiliating thing daily

and each time she would crouch down to his eye level, tell him it's because she didn't have any interns of her own, ruffle his feathers and bounce off before hawks could scold her more

even though tokoyami was given a reason, he knew there had to be more to it than simply that

but she had yet to actually explain why it was only him she kidnapped him, and not any other interns from other agency's

she in a way was exactly like hawks in that regard

not for long however as he practically pushed himself out his real mentor's grip

"for god's sake Miru, stop stealing my intern!" hawks yelled as he pulled tokoyami back into a hug, head resting right on top of his head

tokoyami ducked to the floor to get out of his grip whilst avoiding the rabbit hero's leaping kick

"no! I like this one, besides you've got plenty of sidekicks, why can't you let me just have this one?!" Miruko asked angrily

the two were bickering like children that were being forced to share a toy

tokoyami was beyond embarrassed and angry as a crowd began to gather

"so who's intern is he actually?" tokoyami heard someone in the crowed ask

tokoyami could feel a headache coming on

the two "adults" were still fighting so they didn't notice the little bird going into the shops to buy some water

Todoroki was waving at him while his mentor, endeavour was looking out the window with displeasure

obviously watching the hopeless display of squabbling between the number 2 and 10 hero

"they act like children" the number one hero scoffed

tokoyami couldn't help but agree

"what are they even fighting about?" Todoroki asked, his attention on his bird-headed classmate, meaning that he wanted answers from him

"stupidly but simply, their fighting about who I'm interning with" tokoyami sighed annoyedly

Shoto seemed to be taken back a tiny bit, how something so minor and stupid could have turned into a full-on brawl

it seemed that his father thought so too

"well it is obvious you are gaining anything out of this, not properly being mentored to become proper hero's with powerful quirks" endeavour said, half attention being on tokoyami, but the other half on the continuing fight outside

"seeing you have more brain capacity than those two combined I'll allow you to join us to see how proper heroes act" endeavour announced as he walked to the other exit of the shop

"whilst you're here may as well make the most of the offer" Todoroki gave the raven a little smile as he followed behind his father

tokoyami looked to the window where the two heroes were fighting before joining the Todoroki's

once the two finished their little squabble, too dehydrated to continue

they had finally realised the reason why they were fighting in the first place was missing

"Where did he go?!" hawks asked worriedly as he looked frantically around him, soon flying into the sky

meanwhile, Miruko waited for him to return to the ground, looking around the city herself

"is this part of your scheme?! to pretend where you don't know where he is?! where did you take him this time?!" hawks practically erupted as he dove in front of the rabbit hero

"no way man! I would never do something like this! I know how much you love the kid" she protested in panic, never seeing her friend this angry

"then why do you keep stealing him?!" hawks continued to interrogate, you could actually see tears building up

"because it's funny to see your reaction, but I'm not kidding about wanting the kid as my intern, he's sweet, adorable and...I know he's strong but every time I see him and pick him up I can't help just think how tiny and light he is!" Miruko started as she finally admitted her reasons

"the kid has so much potential, and the more people that help to motivate him the stronger he will get...we both didn't get that type of support when we were young and I can't help but think how much more powerful we would be if we had" she finished, tears slightly rolling down her cheeks

she was suddenly enveloped into a giant winged hug

"I believe you, and I thank you for looking out for him if I knew this maybe I wouldn't be so selfish" hawks laughed causing the rabbit hero to laugh

"ok, let's go find your intern," Miruko said

that was before a loud slurping noise came from behind them

looking back the number 1 hero was looking at the number 2 and 10 hero with a disapproving stare

to his left was his youngest son watching them as he ate cold soba

and to his right was the raven head eating a candy apple

"tokoyami!" the two basically cried as the two rushed to the bird-headed boy

practically crushing him in a tight hug

"you two should be ashamed of yourselves, acting like-" endeavour was about to scold before being shushed by the two

the Todoroki's just felt sorry for tokoyami for having to deal with this shxx

tokoyami meanwhile was simply questioning his existence and why he was still alive
