walking in the park while the love of your life was holding your hand side by side did wonders for the soul

Todoroki couldn't remember the last time he had ever felt this relaxed, let alone this happy

since the day the most amazing and beautiful being that was fumikage tokoyami had agreed to be his partner, Todoroki had been smiling much more, like a child who's been told they were going to Disney land

only for Todoroki, the happiest day would never end

After being paired up and spending time together while in the OVA training, the two found themselves talking with one another a lot more, finding out the two shared similar interests

their friendship soon began to grow into something more

and now they were openly sharing their love for the whole world to see

they didn't care what others thought of them

it was none of their business anyway

but there was an individual that thought it was defiantly a part of their business

the number 1 hero, and Shoto Todoroki's old man

before he had no idea of what was happening in his son's love life, that was until the media literally exploded with the students of U.A

"Son of number 1 hero Endeavour and 2nd place winner of sports festival Shoto Todoroki and mentee of number 2 hero hawks and 3rd place winner of sports festival fumikage tokoyami have been officially confirmed to being a couple" the headline that Endeavour had been scrolling through seemed to shout out

series of pictures of the two students holding hands, hugging and even kissing was shown as evidence of the proclamation

At first, Endeavour had no idea how to comprehend this new information

one side of his brain was trying to process the news that his son, his youngest son that he was expected to uphold the Todoroki name was keeping secrets from him

while the other side was trying to analyse the other member of the couple

Endeavour recognised him instantly (mainly because of the students raven head) he had watched him during the sports festival and by the looks of it he seemed quite promising, especially when he was comparing him to the annoying chicken loving man child that was supposed to be the number 2 hero

but while he knew the raven power-wise, he was afraid to think he was the same as his mentor personality-wise

Endeavour hated the feeling of not being in control, like being trapped in the dark, his quirk was a fire after all

so the number 1 hero decided to do something about it

and that started with confronting his son about the fact he was keeping secrets from him

Endeavour had requested for Shoto to meet with him after school

his son didn't reply to his text but he came regardless, to which Endeavour internally sighed in relief

"what do you want old man?" Shoto asked annoyedly, wasting no time with pleasantry's

endeavour was now internally sighing in annoyance

"do you know why I called you in today?" the number 1 hero asked sternly

"not really," Shoto said sounding bored

Endeavour decided that he should just get straight to the point, obviously, this wasn't getting him anywhere

"I've called you in because you have been keeping secrets from me" Endeavour explained as he took out his phone and showed Shoto the pictures

but Shoto wasn't phased

"It wasn't a secret, I simply didn't tell you as you don't have any interest in who I date" Shoto explained coldly

Shoto had already told and showed tokoyami of to the other members of the family and they had loved the raven head on the spot, Shoto expected nothing less, his boyfriend was just that lovable

he had even brought him to meet his mother and within just 5 minutes she was already welcoming him into the family

those were the people he cared about tokoyami getting the blessings from

Endeavour just wasn't one of them

"Neither the less I believe I should meet this new boyfriend of yours" Endeavour declared

Shoto could tell his old man wanted to say more, to give a reason why, but the way he held in those explanations just irritated the youngest Todoroki more

"fine, I'll ask if he can come to dinner" Shoto sighed, knowing if he didn't say yes his father would just pester him until he complied

"good, I'll get everything sorted-" Endeavour was about to plan before an icy chill filled the room

"don't get your hopes up, he may not be able to come," Shoto said as he walked out the room

"dammit, why must you make everything so dramatic" Endeavour sighed angrily, but started looking for restaurant bookings

As Shoto returned he had found his beloved waiting for him under an apple tree where the two would simply talk about their day

"good evening my love, what's troubling you?" tokoyami asked as Shoto joined him under the tree, Shoto laying his head on his partner's shoulder

"my father, he was being annoying as usual and...if it's alright with you and your not busy, he wishes to meet you properly" Shoto sighed

"oh," tokoyami said in surprise, he wasn't expecting that...but maybe in the back of his mind he was

the number 1 hero had somewhat intimidated tokoyami, and scared darkshadow, the tales his boyfriend about him just made him more nervous

"But I told him that if you say no then-" Shoto was about to say reassuringly, taking note of the ravens worried facial expressions

"no, no I'm fine, I want to meet him, I believe it would be good for us all" tokoyami said with a sigh but a small smile, holding Todoroki's hand

Endeavour was a part of Shoto's life, and tokoyami wanted to accept all aspects of it, even if it was a threat to his darkness

"if you are sure fumi, I'd never want to put you in a situation where you feel awkward," Todoroki said taking his boyfriend's hand and holding with it close to him

"I am certain" tokoyami said as he shuffled into Todoroki's embrace and placed a kiss on his partners head

and so the event was set, Shoto had texted his old man that they had agreed to go out to tea. Endeavour had already booked a restaurant and called for a limo to take them to the restaurant when they were ready

"ooh, you too look fancy, of for a hot date?" Mina asked as the two came downstairs in suites

"I wouldn't say that" Todoroki responded wearing a half and half suite, displaying a red to his right and white on his left, but his tie was black and blue

meanwhile, tokoyami sported a black suit with a purple shirt and a blood-red tie

both blushing at the sight of their boyfriends looking so dashing

a honk outside alerted them that their ride had arrived

"see you all later," tokoyami said before they left, Todoroki hooked their arms together, leading him to the limo and opening the door to let them in

"now darkshadow, I want you to stay inside, just while we're out, ok," tokoyami said to his quirk who was being petted by Shoto

"no argument here, like I would go out of my way to get in trouble with the fire monster" darkshadow agreed, sounding relieved like he dodged a bullet, this earnt him a small laugh from the half and half boy

but the joyous face soon turned sour as they began to pull up to the restaurant

"Remember, if you want to leave just-" Shoto began before tokoyami cut him off by pressing his finger to his lips

"I shall be fine, as shall you" tokoyami reassured

as the two stepped out the two saw exactly where they would be dining

a large fancy 5 out of 5 celebrity restaurant

"trust him to bring out the big guns, "Todoroki thought angrily, thinking this was way to overkill

while tokoyami had been feeling slightly nervous before, he was starting to panic slightly, but he would stay strong after all the number one hero did go out of his way for them

Shoto knowing how stubborn his boyfriend can be decided to make it easier for him by holding him close as they walked inside

the receptionist recognised them instantly and began to show them where their table was

because the two were becoming quite famous their arrival brought much attention to themselves, earning a various number of stares as they walked to their table

Shoto wouldn't usually bother with meeting their gazes, but he knew fumikage had a problem with the attention, he didn't enjoy it at all, causing him to hold onto shoto's arm tighter and closer

this lead to Shoto meeting their gazes with a glare so cold it was like he was using 100% of his quirk, though internally he was somewhat happy being his partner's practice

"here you are," the waitress said as they had reached their table

where a familiar face was waiting for the two

"father," Shoto said with a displeased voice as the two sat down, Shoto continuing to hold fumikage close

"Shoto, are you not going to introduce me to your partner?" Endeavour asked expectantly

"he already knows you," Shoto said angrily holding tokoyami even closer

the raven head's arm was beginning to throb

"Shoto, please release my arm" tokoyami whispered kindly to which Shoto complied apologising for unknowingly hurting him

silence

"Anyway, thankyou for having me here joining you Endeavour, it is an honour," tokoyami said to ease the tension, bowing in greetings and gratitude

this earnt a surprised look on the number 1 hero's face

(so humble, formal and polite....wasn't expecting that) Endeavour thought to himself

"yes, well, I simply wished to meet the (poor) person that can make my son so happy" Endeavour said

while tokoyami smiled to the floor, Todoroki simply glared more ferociously towards his old man

Shoto didn't like how his father pretended to care about his happiness, let alone fill his boyfriend's brain with lies of what his father was like

the evening continued with many hitches

Shoto and Endeavour literally refused to speak with one another except when the food arrived (they all the restaurants special, the chicken yaki udon soba) Endeavour had questioned if tokoyami needed help to eat because of his beak and if eating chicken was ok with him, which did not end well at all, Shoto had literally exploded with rage, tokoyami tried to calm him down but when his fire side threatened to burn down the building, the raven had to resort to throwing his water to extinguish the fire

other questions such as "what type of hero are you going to be" "how did you two meet" and "what is your quirk" were answered easily but were quite personal, tokoyami had expected to be asked questions, but he wasn't expecting to be under the spotlight so much

he was expecting it to be some questions, more focus on the food and Todoroki's talking to one another

luckily they were still in one piece when desert came, endeavour and Shoto had baked Alaska while tokoyami had ordered the apple crumble

"fumi, can I have a slice," a small voice asked

a small slither that was darkshadow emerged from tokoyami's body and floated between the couple

"darkshadow what did we say?" tokoyami whispered worriedly

Endeavour took notice of the small exchange

"I believe this is what you meant when you said your quirk was "alive" "Endeavour said

this surprisingly lead into a nice conversation of types of quirks, which soon lead into an inspiring dad/teacher speech of training their quirks and making them powerful enough to become great hero's

Shoto simply rolled his eyes as he fed some of his deserts to his boyfriend's quirk, while his partner was trapped in the speech

the bill soon came and once that was paid the number 1 hero escorted and opened the door of the limo to escort them back to the U.A school

Endeavour tried hugging his son but that was never going to happen

as for fumikage

Endeavour held out a hand for the raven to shake

"it was a pleasure to meet you, young man, I look forward to seeing you again," Endeavour said

"As do I, thank you" tokoyami blushed as he entered the limo

Shoto was about to enter after him before a hand on his shoulder "treat him, well son, he's probably your best bet" Endeavour said before pushing his son into the limo and shut the door

"baxxered" Shoto muttered under his breath

"...well...that was something," tokoyami said sheepishly

the two looked to one another before the two ended up laughing up a storm

one of the most awkwardness nights the couple ever had

but if they could get through a night like this

they could make it through anything
