"can't believe you forgot your journal, that things like your homemade bible" Ochako laughed as she, midoriya and iida walked back to their classroom
"it was a 20-surprise page test front and back so my brain was tired" midoriya muttered sheepishly
but as the three entered the classroom and retrieved the journal
they noticed something else that occupied one of the desks journals
"hey isn't that tokoyami's desk?" ochako asked as she went for a black sketchbook
"yes, we should return it to him, but don't look inside it, that's a violation of someone else's privacy and/or personal objects" iida instructed waving his hand in the air
but the human kerby girl ignored his orders and instead began to flick through the pages
"Woah" she uttered; some might even say she had stars in her eyes
"guys you need to see this" she declared as she walked over to the boys to show them
"wow" midoriya awed as he looked into the artistic world of wonder
although iida tried to keep his eyes away his curiosity grew too strong
inside on each page was a masterpiece, every line and curve was drawn precisely, with a beautiful flow like a stream
and on every page, there was a familiar face, including their own, it was as if the pages were a mirror, each tiny detail added delicately and accurately
"This is so beautiful" midoriya cried, the others joining in
overwhelmed by the beauty
but that's when they heard footsteps outside the classroom
and with those footsteps came the familiar face of the last person that they wanted them seeing in this situation
"what are you doing with my sketchbook," tokoyami asked in surprise, his feathers ruffling at the sight of his friends seeing his hidden talent
"um, uh" midoriya muttered, not knowing what to say

while the others had much more to say
iida began apologising on his and the behalf of the other
while ochako began shouting about how of an amazing artist he was
"stop!" tokoyami shouted, making the others to stop in their actions
tokoyami gave a big sigh of frustration
"it's fine just give me my book back," he said as he opened his palm out to be given his sketchbook
"sorry tokoyami but, they are really good," midoriya said, hoping to get on the raven's good side
"thank you" tokoyami muttered, a little glow of humble embarrassment creeping on his face
"why don't you show it to others, it's too good to keep it a secret," ochako asked confusingly
"because...I just do it for fun...I don't want it to draw attention..." tokoyami admitted hesitantly
this realisation made the three quite guilty, they knew how tokoyami reacted to being in the limelight (not the greatest), exceptions being when he wanted to be dramatic and speak anonymous monologues
"Yeah, that makes sense" midoriya muttered before patting the raven on his shoulder
"We won't tell anyone, this will be our secret, and if you ever decided to show off your amazing artistic skills," ochako said encouraging
tokoyami smiled as he left
and when he got back to his room
he had some new inspiration
when he had finished it had iida, midoriya and ochako all together with their signature smiles
his sketchbook held the best memories and people in his life
he was sure to never forget tonight

The Choice is Not Yours
Author's Note: (As of November 20, 2021) I rewrote all the chapters perhaps more than a year ago, but haven't announced that I did so. Because that kind of announcement would include something along the lines of, "I'm working on the story so expect new chapters!" But the truth is, I lack motivation to do anything. And I would hate myself if I broke a promise. I'm extremely sorry if you have been patiently waiting for uploads. These days, I've been studying, not well, but studying somewhat. I will definitely bring more to show, with regular uploads. If not this story then there's another story I've been writing that's really exciting to me. It's not exactly similar to this story since it has a male lead and he is a baneful asshole with even less morals. I hope you'll like it when it comes to existence. And I'll leave my announcement off with the aforementioned promise. Meet Amber, a tomboyish, unstable, and cheeky lass who likes to keep to herself. According to her, she'll live the rest of her life on auto-pilot mode, awhile holding onto the few things that make her remotely happy. However, she forgot that people never really leave you alone, be it humans or even the Gods. And exactly that happens, ending her monotonous life on such the Gods' whim. But at what cost to her? Will she be able to hold onto the things she holds dear? Or will she fail miserably and lose herself in the process? That's what the Gods want to know. Disclaimer: I do not own the cover photo.Warning: If you are easily triggered, I am not writing this novel for you.
