shoji had woken up in a hospital tent 

his head hurt like hell and his vision was still hazy

"shoji?" a voice asked the multi-armed giant 

the familiar face of tokoyami was on his right, his face filled with worry and concern 

"tokoyami?" shoji questioned rubbing his head in pain 

"I'm here," tokoyami said as he sat on the edge of his bed

"What happened?" shoji asked as his vision came back into focus

"don't you remember," the raven asked 

shoji could sense the worry and suspicion of his friend's voice 

"....no?" shoji replied 

(the stories follows the same plot like the original story) 

as shoji hit his head on his desk, picking up his pencil he had dropped while doing homework

but like a kick in his brain 

blurred memories starting appearing to tell the events of what happened last night 

and how exactly he ended up in the hospital tent 

shoji had rushed after tokoyami, midoriya unconscious on his back due to the pain 

the octopus-like boy's extra arm continued to bleed slightly due to the villian moonfishes quirk

and thanks to him his best friends quirk had turned into a rampaging beast 

he tried to call out to the raven but one of the purple claws sent him flying backwards and to where he had found a struggling and mangled midoriya 

but as he helped the green-haired boy he knew he had to find tokoyami once again 

but there was no sign of the shadow beast 

(maybe tokoyami was able to regain control) shoji thought as he searched for his friend 

but a guzzling sound was soon heard 

and as he walked into that direction it soon became louder 

and that's when he saw it 

right in front of him was the dead figure of moonfish 

and in front of his, eating his organs and slurping on his blood was the familiar shape of tokoyami fumikage 

shoji stepped back in shock, to only crack a twig in the process 

shoji gasped the raven whose face was covered in blood that was dripping down his chin stared at him in surprise 

and that was the last sight he saw before a purple shadowy claw slammed into unconsciousness

"shoji?" the voice of tokoyami asked bringing the giant out of his memories 

he stared at the raven in horror

he bolted out of the chair and tried to escape through the exit 

but a shadow beast blocked his way 

"you remember don't you," tokoyami asked lowly

shoji turned around as it was the only thing he could do

"Please, you need to understand, I would never hurt you" tokoyami cried coming closer to the larger boy 

"then why were you committing cannibalism?!" shoji shouted in disbelief 

"it's, I never done it before I swear, I only eat animals," tokoyami said, his voice becoming desperate 

"But..but why?" shoji asked in a whisper

"I have no choice" tokoyami began as tears dripped down his face 

he began explaining why exactly he needed to consume blood 

tokoyami was a risen demon, he was sent to earth to do the devils evil bidding, but his personality soon began to change, he wanted to help people instead of hurting them, morality increasing in his soul 

and so he was banished to the human world and was rid of his powers, the only thing that remained was his red eyes and need to consume blood 

he had only ever consumed animal blood, but as he saw shoji begging hurt it triggered a need for punishment and lust for human flesh 

but panicked when he saw shoji spying on him 

he had never wanted his friends to find out this side of him and in fear, he punched shoji hoping he would be able to cause some sort of memory loss 

only that wasn't the case 

"Please, you have to believe me, I would never do anything to hurt you or our friends, please don't tell them!" tokoyami begged

shoji who wasn't looking at the crying former demon gave out a sigh of exhaustion 

"you only did it to protect me, and that villain could have killed so many others if he wasn't stopped so..." shoji began turning to the raven 

"I won't tell a single soul" shoji agreed 

tokoyami cried as he hugged and thanked the octopus boy 

the octopus returned the gesture, he had known the bird-headed boy not long and he had just learnt that he was a demon drinking blood 

but shoji was accepting of his friends "quirks"

after all, he had just killed a man for him 

how could he not keep his secret
