tokoyami gipped his feathers in anticipation

it had only been a few days since he had gotten his acceptance letter to Hogwarts school of witcraft and wizardry

this was his chance to make something of himself

more than just his bird head that he was cursed upon

his mother had saved him from a villainous wizard but had to give up her own life and was cursed with a permanent raven head

of course, he had to be hidden away from the muggle world

but in the wizarding world, he was famous for it, "the boy that escaped" he was called

though he didn't want to be

his older brother who was the 2nd most powerful wizard who worked in Hogwarts alongside a world-renown quidditch player didn't help either

he loved his brother, but he was very overbearing, he was worried that he might just embarrass him during the sorting ceremony

no, he knew he would

it was probably the only thing he could count on

"hello is this cabin fu-" a stranger began to ask but was soon caught off by his own shock

a boy ten times his size with a mask and white hair covering one of his eyes just entered

and by the look of it, this mystery boy had just recognised him

"you're, fumikage tokoyami" the boy awed

"I am, who are you?" tokoyami asked

the boy taking this as a sign that he could stay

"mezo shoji" the boy responded

"well it's nice to meet you," tokoyami said with a smile

the room was filled with a short silence before shoji continued

"you know, I, I really hoped that I would meet you, I know it might not seem it but I've also got a face mutation curse"

now this got tokoyami's interest

shoji pointed to his mask and began to undo it

underneath was something extraordinary that there was no words or explanation to what it was

"I..know it's not the same but-" shoji began before tokoyami cut him off

"would you like some candy apples, my brother packed me a year full" tokoyami laughed

and the two new friends ate their apples all the way until they were at their destination

as they excited tokoyami could hear gasps and awes as people recognised him

but he didn't care, he was more concerned about what was going to happen next

as they entered the hall there the four tables that represented the houses

gryffindor=bravery

hufflepuff=kindness

slytherin=ambition

and last but not least ravenclaw=wisdom

and in front of them were his new teachers

principle nezu as well as the transfiguration teacher

midight=potions teacher

eraser head=defence against the dark arts teacher

hawks= quidditch and flying teacher

present mic= astronomy teacher

ms joke= Charms teacher

Gran Torino = history of magic teacher

Vlad king= herbology teacher

and ectoplasm= groundskeeper

and in front of them, after principle nezu gave a speech

the sorting ceremony was going to begin

"makes sense that a raven head would go into raven claw" he heard a Slytherin boy, bakugo laugh as he sat next to a boy named iida and a girl named tsu

"don't mind them, they're just full of themselves," asui said, cathing tokoyami's gaze

he simply smiled and nodded

he was a tiny disappointed that shoji wasn't with him, but asui seemed friendly enough

he didn't need many friends, but he was happy he at least made some

"and let the feast, commence"
