《The tokoyamiverse》mistake

requested by Toko-boi
(includes the topic of abuse and self-harm)
tokoyami ran as fast as his feet could carry him
one of the scientists forgot to lock his room
finally giving him a way of escape
and he ran
he fought through the electrocoating pain that was shooting through his body
he didn't have enough time to grab the key to release the shock collar that strangled his neck
he had barely had time to gathered the information of the lab and of his classmates
all his life he was made to infiltrate and spy on who the lab wanted information on
he was kidnapped as a baby and was painfully experimented on
the quirk was all his
but the head that now represented a raven
that was all them
"get back here experiment!" he could hear one of the scientist shouts
that's all he had ever been to them
an experiment
he had to come up with his own name when he found out "experiment" was not a real name
the only freedom he had was his school time
even at the dorms, a portal would open and a scientist would drag him out before he could scream out for help
the first time he tried, but it was hopeless
and as punishment, he would be abused severely
both physically and mentally
he ran to the gates and began to climb
he had to kick of the scientists that were pulling him back by the leg
he needed to get the tracking chip out of his body
along with the chip that stopped him from summoning darkshadow
with a swift stomp, the scientists let go of his leg just enough so he could climb over
"you're making a mistake experiment FT," one of them said calmly
the gate door being the only thing to separate them

tokoyami recognised him
he was the main scientist
when he was kicked, punched or even injected with harmful chemicals
he was always there watching in the distance
tokoyami knew he was the one that called the shots
"you're confused, come back and we will forget this little incident" he continued
tokoyami could see the crowd of scientists that were gathering, the only reason why they hadn't tried to grab him was that they couldn't get over the gate like tokoyami
they weren't strong or fast enough to climb over and restrain him
they had hoped the electricity was enough to keep him immobilised
but through the years of constant abuse
he had soon grown immune
tokoyami crept slowly to the gate, too far for tokoyami to be grabbed, but close enough to meet the head scientist dead in the eye
"you say that I am making a mistake, when you have made the stupidest mistake of them all" tokoyami began
grabbing a long-hidden feather-like knife
and sliced his body where he remembered the scientists had hidden the chips
and pulling the two blood-soaked pieces from his body, dropping them onto the floor and smashed them into the dirt
"you made me" tokoyami whispered as his darkshadow came out of his back, snapping the collar of his neck in two
"and soon, the day will come, to pay for your mistakes"tokoyami finished
and with that last sentence
he ran off into the night
where he would tell the hero's of the secret lab
and he would the one in to watch in the distance
smiling at their misery
just like how they had done to him

Mary Susan Oceanrunner and the Brutus Saint's Academy
Join Mary Susan Oceanrunner on her quest to do... erm... something really important for the world... probably... Ahem. Long gone are the days when every hero could do whatever they wanted - now, we are civilised. We have government. Law. And proper forms. Lots of proper forms. (Final episode 25/07/2022. Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
