"ok eri, you are good for shinso and tokoyami while I and present Mic go out for a bit and if you want anything don't be afraid to ask them ok," Aizawa said, crouching down to the little girl's height

"ok" eri merely stated who was still clinging to shinso's leg

Aizawa sighed happily, trusting that she was in good hands, standing up to meet the purple heads

"now if there's a problem make sure to call us, and don't forget to be a gentleman," Aizawa said as he ruffled his son's purple hair, pointing to the kitchen where tokoyami was making snacks for the group

"I won't forget dad" sighed shinso rolling his eyes

and with that Aizawa was gone, leaving the three home alone

"shinso?" asked the distant voice of tokoyami

"yes my love?" shinso asked as he walked to the kitchen, eri still holding to his leg

"do you have any caramel, I'm making candy apples but I can't find it," tokoyami said disheartened

"here, let me help" shinso replied as he walked over to his boyfriend, eri letting go of his leg so he could properly help,

he went up into the higher cupboards where the hypnotise knew the raven head couldn't reach

"you did that on purpose" tokoyami pouted crossing his arms

"I have no idea what you mean," shinso said smugly

now tokoyami would usually try to defend his honour, starting an argument, but noticing the little girl just behind his smug boyfriend, he decided not to

"fine, whatever" tokoyami merely stated

shinso looked to tokoyami and then to eri, having an idea why his love bird didn't start his usual adorable attempt of banter

"hey eri, is it ok if you play for a little bit, I just need to talk with fumi for a little bit" shinso said sweetly

eri nodded and was soon out of sight, but they didn't expect her to just hide behind the corner, not wanting to leave shinso with the bird boy

eri wasn't so sure about tokoyami, yes he was nice to shinso and his friends but...it was his beak that always made her feel scared, it reminded her of overhaul and the Yakuza Organization, Shie Hassaikai, she wanted to get passed it but she was still so scared

but she still sat close and listened to their conversation

"what's wrong fumi? as soon as you saw eri you just stopped, do you not like her or something" shinso said worriedly although he was covering some slight anger in his voice

"it's not that I don't like eri, she's a good sweet innocent child that I will happily protect like everyone else" tokoyami started before sighing and dropping his head with shame

"it's just..." tokoyami sighed

"Just what?" shinso asked, coming closer to comfort his love, his fear of him not liking his adoptive sister completely vanishing

"I fear I bring to many bad memories back into her head" tokoyami admitted

"what do you mean? you didn't do anything bad to her" shinso said

"I know, but look at me, my face is just like the organisation, mainly my beak, and she's been surrounded with these horrible people with beak-like masks, she obviously sees me as a potential threat" tokoyami continued

"fumi you know that's not-" shinso tried to persuade his emotional mate, but he wasn't done

"no, I know it's true, you see the way she looks at me every time I come over, she always hides behind you for protection, as if I could attack her at any moment, what kind of hero does that make me if every time a child looks at me, she sees a memory of pain," tokoyami said, wrapping himself in his own arms for comfort

it was deathly silent

only shinso's sigh could be heard as he wrapped his love in a tight embrace

"you're not one of them fumi, and you're going to be an amazing hero, Eri just needs to get to know you better, and soon she will see you as the amazing most considerate, kind and caring person you are," shinso said with a comforting smile, placing a small kiss on tokoyami's beak

"I hope, thank you shinso, I don't know how I got so lucky" tokoyami swooned, returning the loving gesture

"not as lucky as I am" shinso purred

while the two comforted one another in their loving embrace

eri herself was looking just inside in guilt, tokoyami was so worried about how she thought of him that he was doubting how good of a hero he would be, she didn't want him to feel like that because of her, maybe she could try getting to know him better, after all, he and shinso loved each other, he was going to be around more so she wanted to get over her fear

"shinso,tokoyami?" the little voice asked

the two boys turned to the girl, while shinso smiled happily, tokoyami smiled awkwardly, he wanted to cover his face but shinso held his harms close

"yes eri?" shinso asked

"can I help with the food?" she asked

this caused the boys some slight confusion but shinso replied happily

"yes of course, but tokoyami's the real baker, so I'll leave you two to bake while I find us a film to watch" shinso stated happily, winking to a very shocked tokoyami who was internally asking him (what are you doing! didn't you hear what I just said!)

"now you listen to him carefully ok, see you two later" shinso finished as kissed tokoyami on the cheek and stroked his little sister's hair as he left

"ok so what would you like to make?" tokoyami asked eir, trying to make her comfortable

but eir continued to stay silent, not sure what to say

"We can make something from apples, I heard that they are your favour

eri lightened up at the mention of apples, she already loved apples, especially candy apples, so hearing that you could make more things with them excited her

"what can we make?" eri asked happily

"I have a big book of recipes if you want to pick one from it

eri smiled excitedly, nodding happily

so the two washed their hands, eri stepped upon her little stepping stool and tokoyami got out his cookbook

"I loved baking when I was your age, apple pie was always my favourite" tokoyami said out loud, smiling at the nostalgia

eri looked to tokoyami and back to the book, reaching a decision

"can we make an apple pie?" she asked happily

"sure, I mean if you really want to," tokoyami said with shock and happiness

which eri once again nodded happily

and with the recipe set, they were all ready to get to work

while baking many cute moments accrued, which to them shinso secretly recorded

eri accidentally got flour on tokoyami

eri apologised worriedly before tokoyami began chuckling, bopping her noes with flour making the child laugh herself

and it wasn't long till the pie was ready to bake

"come on let's get us cleaned up" tokoyami laughed, leading the child to the sink, wetting a cloth to get the flour off her face

eri grabbed it and did the same procedure to tokoyami, although shocked at first let the child continue, playing hairdresser with his feathers even when all the flour was gone

"your feathers are so soft," eri said as she patted his head

tokoyami could now hear shinso laughing in the corner, shooting a glare at his boyfriend

"I'm sure shinso would love to have a new hairstyle as well, come join us, my love," tokoyami said cunningly

shinso was no longer laughing

now both boy's wearing bright pink lipstick, blush and eyeshadow, along with tiaras and shinso's hair in pigtails, tokoyami could only thank the gods for his feathers being too difficult to style differently

"you look beautiful" tokoyami swooned smugly

"looking good yourself my princess" shinso replied

it wasn't long till the apple pie was ready

letting cool for a bit

and were finally able to eat the delicious desert

"yummy" eri said tasting her first bite

"glad you like it, you're a really good chef" tokoyami smiled

shinso could only smile at the scene, his handsome boyfriend getting on with his adorable little sister, eating pie and ready to watch a movie

this moment couldn't be any more perfect

at least to him

when Aizawa and mic finally got back they found the three children on the couch sleeping peacefully

shinso and tokoyami's arms wrapped together while eri was snuggled perfectly between them

the two smiling fondly as they placed a blanket on top of them

the next day was even more precious

eri and tokoyami's relationship had obviously gotten better

especially seeing the fact that when tokoyami tried to leave eri hugged his leg and begged him not to go

but even though it happened every time he tried to leave

tokoyami would never want it to go back to the way it was before
