hawks and tokoyami

to many, they were simply mentor and mentee

to some, they seemed like father and son

to others, they seemed like brothers

but towards each other, there seemed to be no name

that's what hawks believed at least

tokoyami reminded hawks of himself of when he was young...maybe more gothic

but he still held him higher than others

and that was why he wanted the little bird to join him

he wasn't the supposed hero everyone thought he was

he was a villain pretending to be a hero

nobody knew

not even the league of villains

but tonight that was going to change

he had invited tokoyami to his headquarters for a simple talk between mentor and mentee

"hawks?" tokoyami asked as he came into the headquarter

"ah Tsukuyomi, perfect timing, as usual" he laughed as he came soaring down to where tokoyami was

"you said you wanted to talk to me about something," tokoyami said

"ha, straight forwards as ever" hawks laughed again, coming to tokoyami's side

"But yeah I do, its something that I think you need to know" hawks continued, becoming less cheerful and more serious

"did I do something wrong sir?" tokoyami asked worriedly

this caused hawks to jump back a bit

"no, no of course not, you haven't done anything wrong, like you never do," hawks said as he grabbed his waist and took off to a higher sector of the hideaway

"but its something quite personal that I want you to know," hawks said dropping tokoyami into hawks' nest

"whatever it is, I'm honoured that you have chosen me to hold onto this personal information," tokoyami said with a bow

hawks just chuckled, tokoyami was defiantly something

"ok well about me-" hawks began

he began to tell tokoyami the real story of himself, how he was a villain who was betraying both the league but also the hero's

tokoyami was flabbergasted

he was a villain, his mentor, the person who was supposed to be training him to be a great hero with a powerful quirk

"I know it's a lot to believe but-"hawks tried to say to stop the deafening silence before tokoyami interrupted him

"no" he bluntly stated

another round of silence

"what do you mean," hawks asked with confusion

"you've taught me so much about how I can be a great hero, and if you were a villain you wouldn't have done that, not to mention when you fought that villain with endeavour, you didn't turn on him, you admire him" tokoyami stated

it made hawks stare at his little mentee with awe

tokoyami still looked at him with admiration, not believing that he could be anything else but a true number 2 hero

hawks laughed softly and patted tokoyami's head

"you never fail to amaze me Tsukuyomi"

tokoyami soon had to get back to school

and hawks waved him away as he flew off

hawks wanted to tell him more

he wanted to tell him that he was the one who killed best jeanist

but he couldn't

he was still a kid

he wanted to tell him that he wanted him to join him

but in a way, he was with him

hawks were still his mentor

and if anything were to happen to his little bird

he would make his secret not so secret anymore
