《The tokoyamiverse》to be fully human

when you're walking the streets in Japan you always have to be cautious
especially if you are part of the U.A school
tokoyami, Jiro and shoji were just taking a stroll after spending their time at hot topic since Mr Aizawa had allowed the students a free day to blow off some steam these three thought it would be fun to go to the shop since it had just been updated
"I think today has been quite successful," shoji said walking with his friends with two bags in his hands
both nodded in agreement, both holding bags of their own, tokoyami also had two while Jiro just had one
"So now what, it's still quite early to call it a day," Jiro asked
as they all walked and thought an explosion was heard in the distance
"what was that" asked shoji
Jiro plugged her headphone like ears into the earth while the others waited for an answer
"villain, just on the next street, possible hostages" she announced
"let's go then," tokoyami said, whipping out his cape and goggles (hawks gave them to him as a birthday present)
luckily for tokoyami, he was already wearing black and all he had to do was put on a cape and goggles, unlike the others which had to put on a whole other outfit
this also made tokoyami the first one to go and help while the others had to find a safe space to change
as tokoyami ran he heard more and more destruction and screams
by the time he arrived he saw a woman wearing a faceless mask and standing over a man who had plastic-like arms
"you and your quirks make me sick, wonder how it would be if all of them disappeared forever" tokoyami heard her giggle (somehow angrily)
not wasting any time tokoyami sent out his own quirk darks shadow, apprehending the villain in two gigantic shadowy claws
the woman withered and squirmed, crying for release but it was no use
shoji and Jiro soon joined in and helped tokoyami, shoji using his own jumble of arms created a handcuff like a shape around her arms
"you, wonder what you would do without your precious quirk" she screamed
shaking her head, the mask dropped and stared at tokoyami
tokoyami stood shocked, the only thing on her face was one massive eye, that seemed to have a minuscule mouth underneath that appeared when she spoke,

he could only make these features out as he was struggling with a bubbling burning sensation on his face, he fell to his knees and screamed with pain
Jiro using her handy ears put the mask back onto the woman's face and made shoji use his free hands to keep it on as she came running to her friend's aid
"Toko, are you ok, what did she do?!" she asked worriedly but he only let out muffled screams and kept his hands on his face
the police and heroes soon arrived, as well as some of class 1 A students and U.A teachers
the woman's mask was calotype to her face by sero's own tape and being escorted away from the scene by heroes and police
while Aizawa and most of U.A students were trying to calm tokoyami down and take his hands away from his face
"tokoyami, you need to remove your hands, we need to see what she has done," he said sternly yet with obvious concern
his friends also using persuasive and helpful words to make him listen
but it worked as he finally responded with "o..ok" and slowly took away his hands
everyone was shocked by the sight
In front of them was not the familiar face of the raven bird boy but instead, the face of a pale-skinned slicked back black-haired boy with red lips, clean-cut eyebrows and an upturn noes
some thought he couldn't be the same but with the same style (no longer feathered) black hair and blood red melancholy eyes, it was indeed tokoyami
"is...is it bad," he said, tears in his eyes, but as he said it his features showed his confusion as if he was not speaking with his mouth
"I think you will want to see this "Aizawa said gently, signalling someone to give him a mirror in which Aoyama provided and handed it to the no longer bird-headed boy
tokoyami investigated the mirror and gave off a shocked gasp, but said nothing, instead just poked at places of his face
it soon was 5 minutes of silence and Aizawa decided to take away the mirror, although it was a quiet struggle as he was not quite ready to let go
"tokoyami, are you ok?" he asked
tokoyami faced Aizawa and the others as tears flowed down his cheeks and sadly stated

"I don't like this"
part 2
tokoyami was soon taken back to the main room by many of the other students, stating that he shouldn't be left alone right now, they decided to try and cheer him up with snacks and movies
but that did not really help as he kept missing his new mouth and the movie was about 2 friends that were together since birth and thanks to the woman's quirk dark shadow was also now gone
all students blamed Mineta for the bad ideas and shut him out of the building
while Mr Aizawa had done some research on the woman and found out her quirk was somewhat similar to his, she could fully erase a quirk, but it only lasted a day
he told the students the good news but tokoyami was still not very happy with it
"how about we try to train, this would be a great opportunity since you...well...um" mina tried to suggest before remembering it was a bit of a bad time
"no, it's fine, and I guess I could use the distraction" tokoyami agreed
he had finally calmed down which was a big relief to everyone and as he and mina went, he was given light squeezes on his shoulder to say "we believe in you"
when they left the students were left alone with their thoughts
mainly being on the lines of "I hope he'll be ok", "he's still really cool" and (to some people that I won't say) "he looks handsome/cute" either way
meanwhile, with mina and tokoyami, they were doing well, tokoyami had gone to his room to get his sword and to say he was good with a sword was an understatement
soon both were out of breath and exhausted
"wow toko, you're really good" she gasped
"you, not bad yourself," he said as he laid on the ground
"so...how are you finding your new...situation," she asked hesitantly
tokoyami was silent before replying "I don't really like it, eating is annoying and I really miss dark shadow, even his constant yammering" he could feel tears forming and unfortunately mina saw it, usually his bird features could hide away his emotions but at this point, he was easy to read like an open book
"don't worry, it's just for 12 more hours, and if anything like this ever happens again we will all be here to help you," she said happily
tokoyami couldn't help himself as he came running to her and cried into her shoulders as he gave her somewhat of a hug
mina was taken by surprise but hugged him back and let him get it all out
tokoyami always found mina like an older sister of the group (well emotionally older at least, and her being taller than him kinda helped somehow) and even though they did not spend much time together they had an unspoken bond together (nothing romantic, however)
tokoyami's cries soon died down and he backed out of the hug
"Sorry," he said sheepishly
"it's fine, you looked like you really needed a cry," she said sympathetically
"yes, I guess so" he rubbed his arm as his face became red
"don't worry I won't tell anyone," she said happily as she punched his arm playfully
"t, thank you" he laughed sheepishly
soon they both gathered their things and left and joined the others
"hey, everything good," momo asked
both looked at each other and said "as good as it can get"
the next morning consisted of the students watching more happy movies since Mr Awizawa decided it was needed that another rest day was needed
kendo was nice enough to make a sugary apple sauce like soup, very sweet and delicious and he could sip it through a straw-like normal
when the 24 hours were up tokoyami dropped straight to the floor and screamed, the stinging sensation back again
shoji and asui hugging him as the others prepared more food for his painful time
when everything stooped burning, he struggled out of the hug and ran to the closest mirror
the silence was long before two yells came out of the bathroom
"I'm back baby!" shouted the familiar voice of dark shadow
and the familiar face of the raven bird boy reentered the world with a smile on his face and tears flowing down his face
indeed, the tokoyami they knew and loved was back, and there was nothing that they would change
oh, and they finally let Mineta back into the building

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
