Shoji was the first to react, his face widening with horror at the sudden revelation.
Tokoyami...
Shoji remembered Tokoyami's words.
"When the time is right."
When he first revealed the same exact question to Tokoyami, his reaction shocked Shoji...
"It doesn't matter... "
Tokoyami. He had opened up to him, revealing his fragile side.
A brittle sapling, threatening to break even by a small breeze.
"Where's Dark Shadow?"
"I'll die soon anyways."
Shoji imagined a boot, crushing the plant into nothingness.
Shoji's heart pounded in his chest as he slowly looked over to Tokoyami, fearing the same fate.
...
What?
A calm nod from Tokoyami.
The sapling didn't break.
It was as if using a hammer to smash a very thin layer of glass, cringing and backing away, preparing for its break, yet end up gawking at its untouched state after impact.
It was a complete surprise to Shoji, a friend he thought was in need of repair was fixed all by himself.
Slowly, the shock turned into proudness. Shoji was worried from the day Tokoyami collapsed in front of him, that Tokoyami might not survive independently. He puts on a brave front that he can survive, but it was merely a disguise.
Yet...
He did it...
He found the antidote himself. The remedy to his weakness.
...
I'm so proud of him.
Welcome back Fumikage.

"Yes, I was getting to that."
Tokoyami sighed, noticing the amount of shocking news he had to reveal. One after another... These news would shake class 1A to their core.
"Please brace yourselves..."
Class 1A exchanged looks, but they prepared for the worst.
"Dark Shadow... is gone."
Surprisingly, their reaction looks mild. Tokoyami guessed everyone had suspected something similar to that since he did avoid using his quirk during Physical Education earlier.
No one said a word for a full minute. It was a gesture of respect for Tokoyami, and he deeply appreciated that.
However, it did give some time to the class to ponder how such a thing even happened. Dark Shadow's existence was a mystery to all of them. It was unlike most quirk out there...
Dark Shadow was sentient. Which leads to his next reveal...
"How did this happen?"
Midoriya spoke up first, softly.
"You said he was sentient right? So he couldn't have just suddenly disappeared while you are still here right?"
Tokoyami closed his eyes.
Too fast... They need more time.
"Not just sentient."
"Not just sentient?"
Midoriya asked.
"I suspect there's another reason why I was captured."
"When I went in the other dimension, I saw all of you had Belenus's crystals in your souls, yet I didn't have one."
"That's when I saw I had 2 souls..."
"Dark Shadow had a human soul too?"
Midoriya asked, intrigued by the new discovery of his quirks nature.
"So that's why, Belenus miscalculated the amount of crystals needed, he needed 21 instead of 20."
Momo realised.

"Why could he just make another?"
Kirishima wondered out loud.
"I've heard from All Might that his killings only occurred a few times every month... There must be a limit to how many he can create every month."
"If that's the case... It could've taken about 6 to 7 months if he could create 3 crystals per month..."
Momo calculated.
"7 months ago... The sports festival arc, of course!"
"Since the event was broadcasted live, that's must be when Belenus took notice of our quirks! "
Midoriya concluded.
The class got a grasp of the disturbing fact. They were no idea who could obtain such information through the televisions...
If such a villain who didn't even have to encounter them could eradicate their existence, Aizawa Sensei's ideology of brazenly revealing ones quirk might endanger people's lives.
Class 1A had seen such a horrifying quirk. Another one might always be lurking around the corner. They have to grow strong fast. The world needs them.
However, this did not give a wake-up call to everybody...
"Did Belenus notice you then?"
Todoroki looked over, seemingly unfazed by the shocking discovery, but more intrigued by Tokoyami's relationship with the villain.
Everyone had their minds occupied.
They did not even realise their friend's agony till then.
Tokoyami had his beak shut tightly, one eye closed to resist a sudden pain all over his arms. One hand clutched his arm, trembling with agony.
Class 1A only could helplessly gasp at the sudden change.
"Tokoyami! What's wrong!"
Recovery girl parted the class, squeezing herself to the front.
Tokoyami couldn't answer their questions, he didn't have to.
Thousands... Tens of thousands of red lines materialised in his pale arms. The lines slowly broke skin, ripping his flesh apart, forming small ravines.
"Stand back! Give me some space to work with here!"
Recovery girl ordered.
Class 1A did so sloppily, finding it difficult to process what's happening in front of their eyes.
"What's happening to Tokoyami."
Hawks voice could be heard behind the class in his bed. The class cleared a path for him to see.
Hawks eyes widened as the horror unfolded in front of his eyes.
There was blood trickling down his arms now, staining his clothes crimson red.
Such a scene reminded Hawks of his dreams with Tokoyami... Something he dreaded of remembering...
"I... I don't..."
Recovery girl never seen such a phenomenon before, she was just as perplexed as the rest of them.
She used her powers on Tokoyami's arm, it subsided a little, but otherwise, it didn't change.
"Come on, do something!"
Hawks yelled, terror clearly shown in his voice.
"I..."
Recover girl suddenly remembered...
"Wait... The same thing happened with the neck bruises... and the crystals too..."
"I'm not too sure of the cause but, I wondered why Tokoyami haven't sustained any physical injuries when he came into my office, it seems like the injuries are coming back."
*Gruuugh* *hnng*
"Hang in there Tokoyami!"

"You'll be fine!"
"Belenus did this? If he was alive, I would kill him again."
Kirishima said, seething with anger.
"I'll f**king carve his skin out to repair his skin."
Bakugo added, annoyed at Kirishima's mild threat.
"That's a little too much, don't ya think?"
Kaminari timidly said, hiding behind the class before Bakugo could even turn his head to stare daggers into him.
Tokoyami laid back down with the help of his classmates.
When did Belenus even cut me?
He looked down in horror at the repeated lines down his arms, his blood trickled from every cut he suffered.
Oh...
Tokoyami remembered he was sweating profusely under the spotlight. His hands felt warm and wet...
He had his hands tied to the back of the chair, who knows what Belenus could've done to him out of his sight.
It was probably due to the adrenaline rush that caused him to not notice. With one foot at death's doorstep, such injuries were ignored.
However, he did not recall seeing his injuries after he'd broken free.
No... I couldn't see them at all...
His hands were shrouded with darkness...
Dark Shadow...
"He's... He's losing too much blood!"
Someone called out.
"No... No, I'm fine."
"Stop that Tokoyami, you're clearly not fine."
Shoji chided him from a distance.
"No, this is... This is not my blood."
"What?"
"What do you mean by that, child?"
Recovery girl asked, puzzled.
"I'll explain."
He gritted through his pain. Thousands of red hot iron rods in his hands was what he had to resist.
*grrh* " This is not *gaah*...
" Recovery girl, is there some way to reduce the pain? "
" I'll... I'll try. "
Recovery girl reached for a cabinet, pulling out a syringe with a heart-shaped handle. She pulled out an unknown liquid with many labels and started drawing out liquid.
However, it wasn't an ordinary syringe. It had 9 needles on the tip instead of the usual 1 needle. It was made to cover a larger area.
Recovery girl applied some antiseptic on 3 locations for each of Tokoyami's arm.
54 needle stabs made some of Class 1A cringe.
Fortunately, the iron rods reduced to just needles. Tokoyami still felt pain, but it seemed insignificant to the pain felt previously. Tired with fatigue from dealing with the pain, he continued.
"This body, it's not mine. Its... it's Dark Shadow's"
The class just stared back in confusion, eyes blinking every few seconds.
"How is that possible? I've never heard of switching bodies with quirks."
Midoriya asked, pulling out a book and writing furiously.
"Dark shadows body... But you didn't change at all!"
Mineta exclaimed.
"How is that possible?"
Uraraka muttered.
"It is..."
A deep voice cut through, it was Todoroki.
"It is?"
Uraraka questioned.
"Tokoyami... Is Dark Shadow your brother?"
...
...
"Todoroki, what do you mean?"
Midoriya said, his eyes widening.
"How can a quirk be a sibling? That seems farfetched. "
"I can't even comprehend how weird that'll be!"
The class bustled about. Tokoyami was trying hard not to smile at the truth.
"Todoroki is right."
"WHAT?!"
The class exclaimed in unison.
Midoriya looked apologetically at Todoroki.
It was understandable that such a fact confused them... Imagine their own quirks were siblings to them.
The fact that Tokoyami considered Dark Shadow as a "Tool" as well, something he had deeply regretted, is an indication that they would've never considered their own quirks to be related to them.
But they weren't ... Dark Shadow was different, he was sentient.
"We were twins."
Tokoyami said calmly.
" Yes, that's what made me think that way."
Todoroki smirked, a little proud of his detection skills.
"It was definitely a bold claim to make though, I advise you to dig deeper into the abyss."
"DON'T dig deeper."
A pouting Iida stared Tokoyami down.
"Dark Shadow is your brother? That's so weird!"
Mina exclaimed.
"Tokoyami, please tell me that's all the shock I will get today."
Kaminari mumbled, clutching his head.
However, Tokoyami's stoic yet grim stare said otherwise.
"What now..."
Kaminari continued, sulking a little as he fears for the worst.
Tokoyami opened his mouth to say something... But his voice was cut shot with a sharp pain in his neck...
Within seconds, blood came pouring out. Tokoyami used one hand to grip his neck, making blood squirt everywhere.
Students of Class 1A watched in fear and trepidation as they witness the disturbing scene unfold.
The sound of spurting and gargling of the blood caused some to gag.
Tokoyami could only look at his friends sadly, unable to do anything to help them.
"Tokoyami..."
Kirishima's voice sounded like a whisper, as if he realised something...
If what Recovery Girl said was true... Tokoyami had suffered the same fate when he had his body...
"How did you survive that? “
As the blood slowly changed his bed to a Crimson red, he whispered out...
" I didn't. "
However, before they could react, Tokoyami remembered something...
Tokoyami's face slowly filled with dread.
"Get out... GET OUT! GET OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! "
Tokoyami's heart filled with fear as their friends, as well as Hawks, had their eyes on him.
His worst fears he had previously came back rushing to him. Such a horrific scene would definitely negatively affect their mental health.
"Please... I beg of you. Look away! Close your eyes!"
"Tokoyami. You don't have to suffer alone."
Tsuyu spoke.
"We all feel guilty for not being able to save a friend."
"It was all an inevitable fate, none of it was your choice."
"Tokoyami..."
Hawks said.
"You were truly a hero."
Within seconds, the wound moved up.
Tendons flying.
Blood splattering.
Flesh tearing.
Feathers fluttering.
Author's note:
As Class 1A, as well as Hawks, witnessed the truth of what happened to Tokoyami, how will they react?
As the end drifts closer, another surprising encounter awaits.
