《Layers Of Suffering (Tokoyami BNHA)》Acknowledgement

For the millionth time, Tokoyami got another hug. Hawks gave him a strong embrace.
The tension in the class dissipated.
Tokoyami was reminded of his small size yet again as Hawks giant wings wrapped around them.
"I missed you... My boy."
"I missed you too... Dad."
That word felt foreign to him, because now it meant something different in his internal dictionary.
After years of abuse, 'Dad' and 'Mom' had changed its meaning.
--
"Oh my god, he's staring at us again!"
Tokoyami timidly glanced at his parents from his room.
"Yo... Yoshiko, help me!"
"Don't worry, I am beside you, Kotori."
"Tell him to go away!"
A vaguely humongous shadow loomed over him.
"GO AWAY!"
He ran back and slammed the door, his throat aching from the pulsating of his heart, trapped in his gullet.
He leaned his back on the rough, rotten door. His eyes meeting the dull, empty room in front of him.
"I've had enough"
"He can still hear you, Kotori."
"So what if he can! We're treated like we own the devil! We live in fear and embarrassment every day!"
"I'm going to go mad if this keeps up."
"Kotari..."
"If I'd known he had such a satanic quirk, I wouldn't have given birth to him!"
"Honey, is it because of our quirks?"
"No, our quirks are nowhere near close to that repulsive creature."
"He's not related to us, he doesn't even look like us."
Tokoyami felt his eye sting, his tears were drained. All that's left was a buildup of emotions and a child without a sanctuary.
He slid down the door, his legs unable to support him further.
"Yoshiko, I can't support the three of us any further, that demon doesn't deserve my money."
"No, there's only two of us."
"You can't just ignore him, he's a threat to us!"
"No, as in, there will only be the two of us. I shall undo your past mistakes...
"
WHAM!
The door slammed open with Yoshiko standing in the doorway, holding a shiny object in his left hand.
But the empty room was empty like it has always been, an open window greeted him.
It should have always been empty.
Dad? Mom?
Murderers.
--
"D... Dad? "
Hawks repeated, his grin slowly returned.
"Dad."
Tokoyami looked in Hawks eyes, the clouds have been cleared.

"What happened."
Hawks looked uncertain.
"I... I didn't know."
Tokoyami looked at Momo.
"Hawks... Hawks attempted to... end his life."
"Oomph!"
Tokoyami punched Hawks gut.
"How could you do this?!"
"I'm sorry... I... I couldn't take it."
"You can't be so selfish, what about other orphans that needed you?"
"Where would their pillar of support go without you?"
"How can I support other children if I can't even save a single child right in front of my eyes?"
"We made a promise Hawks, you promised me you would also protect other orphans."
"I'd lost my son."
"Children's lost their parents, Dad."
"Many others would like to call someone dad too."
"..."
"My... My biological parents tried to remove my existence, yet I had to call them mom and dad."
Class 1A gasped, shocked of their classmate's horrific childhood.
"I wanted to call someone else dad. You also do too, dad. You were an orphan too."
"Yes... You're right."
"Now... You've accomplished my dreams... Yet there are others out there."
"Promise me, Hawks, promise me dad even after I'm gone..."
"Let orphans know...
The true meaning of 'dad'."
"I will, Fumikage, my son."
Hawks reached out to hold his hand.
"This brings out the question... Why are you here?"
"I'm... I'm sorry, Hawks, but Tokoyami... His time is running out."
"What... WHAT?!"
Recovery girl showed Hawks the pictures, earning him another shock.
"How did this... Can't you remove it?"
"No, it's extremely dense, Hawks. One wrong move and it'll explode."
"But we have to try!"
"No, Dad. It will immediately form a black hole when removed."
Everyone's attention went back to Tokoyami.
"What's it's explosion radius?"
Kirishima asked.
"An entire dimension."
...
The tension returned.
Everyone stared at Tokoyami.
"That's right... I owe you all an explanation."
--
Shoji stared at him, dumbfounded.
A dimension killer... Its a miracle we still exist.
Shoji shivered at the thought of the possibility of other villains having the same quirk. Every second would be spent contemplating if he would not exist the next second.
"Ugh, I have no idea where to start."
"What happened after you were captured? Do you have any recollections of the place you were?"
Midoriya started, curious to know all the details.

"Ugh, yes. I was in an abandoned cabin. In the middle of a forest, I believe. I was tied to a chair."
"Didn't you have dark shadow to help you break the bonds?"
Denki asked.
Tokoyami hesitated for a second, a slight curve at the edge of his beak indicated that he was hiding a smile.
"No, there were spotlights above me and even under my chair I believe."
"What? Even under?"
Mina exclaimed.
"The villain is known to be cunning and intelligent."
Midoriya explained.
"What did the villain do to you?"
Shoji asked. The well being of Tokoyami should be placed first.
Tokoyami winced slightly, his hand went to his throat.
Everyone got the message.
Tokoyami had smaller and more fragile neck than an average human. It wouldn't take much effort to snap his neck.
The villain aimed right at his most vulnerable point.
Shoji flinched as he imagined the villain's huge hands around Tokoyami's neck. Then he imagined his hands...
How heartless...
"Did he say why he'd kidnapped you?"
Momo asked.
Tokoyami looked down, his hand shifted to his forehead.
"Yes..."
--
...
A few minutes went by as the class waited for his response.
"So what's the reason?"
Momo continued.
"He was...
a friend of mine."
"What?!"
"How could a friend do this?"
Midoriya exclaimed, confused.
"I need to personally meet him."
Bakugo seethed.
"You know he's not alive anymore... And you're doing the same thing to Midoriya too."
Kirishima whispered in Bakugo's ear.
"DEKU'S NOT A F**KING FRIEND!"
"Why did he want to kidnap you then? "
Tsuyu asked, trying to speak over the commotion.
"It's a long story. We were both bullied in school, for different reasons."
The class silenced one again.
" I was bullied for my appearance and Belenus, the villain, was quirkless. "
Midoriya visible shifted uncomfortably after hearing that for some reason.
"Belenus? Sounds like his origins doesn't come from Japan... "
" We became friends defending each other, and mostly because we didn't have other friends. However, Belenus quickly became jealous of my quirk."
"We shortly got into a fight. Dark shadow accidentally impaled him whilst defending me."
"Oh, so is that why...?"
Uraraka pondered.
"I'm not sure. It seems to be coincidental that he found me..."
"From what I've heard he did to you, he seems like a sadistic person."
Shoji said.
"Yes, he is. He tormented me physically and mentally. He showed me everyone's most cheerful emotions in your lives... I was deeply affected by it."
Tokoyami looked pointedly towards Todoroki and Bakugo.
The class faced them. Todoroki widened his eyes a little and took a step back.
"What did you see, bird head!"
Bakugo pouted
"Nothing much, just heartwarming moments with your family."
Tokoyami chuckled as he heard Bakugo's screeching of anger...
Or embarrassment.
The class had a few giggles at Bakugo's reaction.
"Imagine my horror when Belenus said he could end your lives right there."
"Being strangled for over an hour doesn't compete with this. Imagine all your friends' lives are ending right in front of your eyes..."
"Tokoyami, it isn't your fault."
Shoji sighed.
"But it is. Dark shadow impaling Belenus is what caused his quirk to activate."
"But you didn't know. There was nothing you could've done."
I could've taken control of Dark Shadow...
You'd think I would've learnt my lesson from last time. Yet I let it go berserk again.
Tokoyami stared at his friends. He closed his eyes, recollecting his thoughts.
" Those memories have passed, it's useless to cry over spilt milk."
Tsuyu said, trying to cheer Tokoyami up.
"Yeah, thanks. Let's continue."
Every minute was spent wisely. Midoriya asked for Belenus quirk,
Todoroki asked how Belenus looked like, Toru asked how he escaped and defeated Belenus...
"...Dark Shadow sneaked through Belenus Shadow and strikes him."
"You didn't kill him?"
Kirishima asked, sceptical.
"It was a trap. Killing him would've killed you guys. "
"What? Even that was a trap? What kind of monster is he?"
Kaminari said as a spark shot out of his hair, indicating that his brain short-circuited.
"It's amazing that you even figured that out Tokoyami!"
Uraraka said in wonder.
"Tokoyami..."
A voice cut through the class, it was Hawks. He returned to his bed after Tokoyami started explaining.
His tone sounded serious.

Author's note: Haha, secret update. I found some time to write this chapter. Thank you for patiently waiting. Here's your reward!
It's not as long, but I had to cut short this chapter as exams are right around the corner.
How will Class 1A react about Dark Shadow's death?
More importantly...

Zeroth Knight re: Dawn
Isekai, fantasy, with the core themes of Identity and Fate. Story contains a, mostly, lesbian cast. Updated twice a day. Evangeline Sayagawa makes the ultimate choice at the cost of the ultimate sacrifice: She decides to leave her world that she fought so hard to return to, and return to Arsea in hopes of saving everyone. Little was she aware of just how bad things had gotten. The world she was returning to was cast into chaos and on the precipice of being destroyed. She awakens in this new kind of Arsea, after having witness the end of a dear friend. The world now belonged to the monstrosities of old, the Beta, and their corrupted human warriors, the Eld. With her fake identity, that which defined her in this world, being stripped from her, she now has to navigate a darkness in which not even the women she loves recognize her. This is book 2 of the Evangeline Sayagawa "Zeroth Knight" story, with book 1 being found here. The first "chapter" posted here is a hyper-condensed version of volume/book 1, in case anyone needs a generalized refresher of events, or for those who wish to start with this book instead as it is faster paced and more action-packed than the first one. Suffice to say, but most of the details from book 1 are lost by doing this; however, enough of the more-important information is present to allow one to understand the general idea of what is going on. This book features a mostly lesbian cast and deals more so with fate and crises of identity more than anything else. However, there is much more action in this one than any of my other stories thus far and brings about the end of Evangeline Sayagawa's story arch... sort of. I have another story up, a short story drama with light yuri and supernatural themes: "Escape The KNIGHT" Share the story if you think it's good. And please rate some stars and leave reviews guys. It will help encourage other people to take a chance with the story and get to know this wonderful journey with us. Also, a friend has made a Discord for the "Zeroth Universe" if anyone wants to join and hang out to talk about the stories, theories, or just general fun chats with us! https://discord.gg/f3Bc4TR Follow me on Twitter @Ozefen0 to stay up to date on my stories and what have you.

I Am Not A Humanity's Traitor (Isekai LitRPG)
Ren is a reincarnated person. His new world had the same name as his old one, Earth. But that was the extent of the resemblances. Ren has a skill as well, or at least he was told he did, but he had no inkling of how to use it. He was disheartened at first but his goal wasn't the path to power, all he wanted from this world was to continue the peaceful life, but the world didn't even provide him with that. A luminous pillar descended upon him and one of his classmates. Goddess Helastia, one of the most revered goddess, called them to herself, probably not a good news. However, there, he finds that a group of heroes has been summoned from his past world to confront the Devils that will be rising soon. But contrary to his assumption of being a hero himself, she referred to him as a reincarnated imposter. She labeled both of them as Humanity's Traitors and sends them into a dungeon where they were supposed to live. That is, with their masters and comrades, the Devils and their minions. The monsters in the dungeon were not likely to accept them as allies, instead, they were out to devour the delicacies that appeared in their home. Only despair awaited them. ---------------------------------------------------------- This novel is inspired from Neets's parallel world syndrome, Abnormal state skill and bunch of other jp novels, this is also my first time writing a web novel.
