Midoriya woke up, in a daze...
Ughh, what was that?
He rubbed his eyes, stretching his body.
Midoriya's eyes flew open. He wasn't imagining it now. He sat upright, listening intently for more sounds...
There it is again...
His mind immediately started working the possibilities, coming out with the worst scenario first.
...!! An enemy?
He bolted to the door.
Wait...
He hesitated in front of the door, his hand resting on the doorknob.
Am I overthinking this?
He recalibrated the possibilities...
It sounds a bit like moaning...
Midoriya's cheeks immediately flushed.
"Really? At this time of the day?"
He glanced at his All Might clock.
5:59 am
He listened for the "moanings" again... It's coming from his right side if he's looking at the door...
either Aoyama or Tokoyami...
Both were unlikely candidates and neither had crushes that he knew of.
He lay down on his bed again, trying to get back to sleep.
However, with each sound, it reminded him more and more like sounds of despair and pain.
His innocent mind replacing what could've been actual sex noises as sounds of torture.
He couldn't take it anymore. Curiosity got the better of him.
Even if it is actually the 2nd scenario, they are doing it too loudly and affecting others. he convinced himself.
With a deep breath, he walked out of his room and towards the twos room.
*gasp*
Aoyama's door was open, indicating that he was not there. That explained why if Tokoyami was the one producing sounds, Aoyama didn't get alerted first.
Then... It must be...
He looked over to the far end room of the corridor.
He heard the groans again...
He imagined himself approaching the door, finding a villain burst out from the door.
He gulped and approached the door...
'Tokoyami'
The door plate states...
The groaning stopped...
6:02am
Midoriya's hand was stretched out, his knuckles an inch away from the wood.
huh... It stopped...
Midoriya looked at his hand, redeciding his actions.
Pain doesn't go away that easily... I guess it wasn't a villain after all...
He sighed, laughing at himself for being such a busybody.
He returned into his room without giving it a second thought...
He lay back down on his bed again. Somehow, he felt uneasy, as if he had forgotten something.
He sat cross-legged on his bed and started meditating, something he did if he ever felt stress or discomfort. It was a great way to collect his thoughts and cool down.

First, he usually focused on the positive thoughts...
What am I positive about?... I feel great for being an actual full-fledged hero now... I feel great that I saved Eri from Kai, she's not a tool to be used, she does not belong to anybody. Oh and Tokoyami, I am so glad he's finally back and fine. Him returning definitely removes a huge amount of weight off my shoulder...
Wait... Tokoyami... TOKOYAMI!
Midoriya had forgotten that Tokoyami had just returned. It wouldn't be surprising if Tokoyami was very fragile now...
Him groaning in pain definitely isn't a good sign. The chances of him doing the 2nd situation is much lower...
Oh, how could I leave such a vulnerable friend alone? I'm not a good friend.
He thought to himself as he rushed out of the door the second time...
--
*knock* *knock* *knock*
"Tokoyami! Are you there? " Midoriya's desperate voice could be heard outside.
" Urrghhh..." Tokoyami was facing the to) washroom ceiling. He must have passed out either from exhaustion or fear; he wasn't sure.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
" Tokoyami! Please, open up the door!"
Tokoyami gasped, he stood up quickly, causing him to feel giddy all over again as the blood rushed to his brain.
He immediately noticed the blood in the sink as well as splattered all over his clothes...
Oh no...
He needed to clean up as soon as possible, but first, he needed to respond first, or else Midoriya would break through the door.
"I'm here! Just give me a moment!" Tokoyami croaked out. His throat felt very sore and sandy from the puke.
He turned on the tap and rinsed the blood away. He changed his clothes and placed the stained clothes in a bucket that was out of sight.
He rushed to the door, ignoring the slight dizziness he had.
*click*
Midoriya's face appeared when the door swung open.
He looked extremely worried, eyes wide with curiosity and slight nervousness. Midoriya glanced into his room, eyes widening a little as if he had a realisation.
"Yes, Midoriya?"
"C... Can I come in for a moment?" Midoriya stammered.
He had no reason to decline, so he gestured him in.
Tokoyami pulled out his swivel chair for Midoriya to sit on. He seemed to be lost for words for whatever reason.
He thought of serving water, but judging from Midoriya's face, he seemed to be urgent.
He sat down on his bed and faced Midoriya.

"Tokoyami, was there anyone in your room just now? "
"Not a single soul. May I ask why?"
Midoriya shook his head.
"Forget I said that. Tokoyami, are you feeling well?"
That makes sense. Midoriya must've felt worried about him due to his sudden appearance. No one knew how stable he was. Tokoyami is sure most of his friends felt the same way.
"Ahh, I'm not deeply affected by it if that's what you're referring to."
More like I can't... Because I already died from it.
He didn't say that out loud.
"Are you sure? Then what were the screaming all about then?"
Tokoyami gasped sharply, though he hid it well. His eyes widened a little as he realised his mistake.
Curse my tolerance...
"Screaming?"
"Don't play dumb on me Toko, I heard screams of pain coming from Aoyama and your room. Aoyama had already left when I first checked, so it must be you."
Tokoyami wasn't listening. He was too busy thinking of a way to cover himself up.
Can I say that was a sneeze? No, it doesn't sound like it... I hit myself on the head? I think Midoriya would assume I have high tolerance in pain so that would feel fake too...
"Hey, Tokoyami!"
"Huh? Oh sorry."
"What was that pause for?"
"Oh, I was just recalling if I heard the sound too. I had just woken up a few minutes ago you see..."
Midoriya hesitated and he seemed to be calculating something...
He's calculating the time which the screaming ended and when he entered the room. I am not in my sleeping clothes so he must have tried to see if me waking up after the screams would sound realistic.
Tokoyami had already calculated the time already before he made that statement. He did see the time after all...
'6:02 am'
He looked at the clock...
6:27 am
A possible timing.
"Then what could've made the sound then?"
He pretended to think again... But he already had his answer.
"If it didn't come from me, how about from the 1st floor? The courtyard? "
Midoriya thinks for a while...
Tokyami knows that that was a valid explanation, it was too much of a trouble to ask everyone about it. Even if he found out that no one in his class made that scream, it could be explained by a passerby making such a noise.
Tokoyami's purpose on coming back here wasn't to worry his friends again about his own well being. It's to spend precious time with them, interacting with them more, appreciate their last few interactions while he can.
However...
Tokoyami doesn't understand the drastic changes his absence had on his friends. Being normal may never be possible again.
6:35 am
Class was starting soon.
Midoriya looked sadly at Tokoyami.
"Sorry for disturbing you, Tokoyami."
He slowly exited the room, leaving Tokoyami alone. He had a sinking feeling in his gut; lying blatantly even if for the other's good doesn't feel good. It makes him feel that others doesn't truly understand him at all, and it was mostly his fault.
Tokoyami sighed and prepared for class.
Let's hope that another episode doesn't happen in class...
--
Momo sat on the couch, a hand on her forehead. Since she was the one who proposed to wait for Tokoyami's opinion, she was deciding whether or not to inform her classmates first.
Although she could announce it after she had informed Aizawa Sensei, she felt that her classmates also have a say in this. Acting alone seemed selfish and unbecoming for an assistant class rep.
She did say to Tokoyami that she would announce it in class... However, when she said that, it felt as if she'd made the wrong decision. Tokoyami's words echoed in her head, reminding her of what could happen.
Tokoyami mentioned about preventing others from suffering further. Hawks did suffer from Tokoyami's disappearance. People who are close to Tokoyami may feel responsible for the kidnapping. UA Academy's reputation may also be tarnished, even though the incident happened outside of their parameters. They allowed an incapable pro hero to put their own students in danger.
Sure, they may be some drawbacks, but she can announce it in class anyways. Class starts in 30 minutes time.
There's no difference, what could go wrong?
As soon as she thought of that, she knew it was taboo. Her gut instincts screaming at her to tell the teachers now. Suddenly, she started thinking of the drawbacks of revealing it in class, something that she should've done.
Revealing Tokoyami's return would immediately disrupt the lesson, teachers probably need time to recover from the news and... Tokoyami. He couldn't go to class still for obvious reasons. Telling the teacher now seemed like the better option.
In fact, she felt that there is something else much bigger than that...
She rushed to the teacher office, her footsteps echoed through the corridor in a rhythmic pace,
