"HEEHHHHH?!!" The man shouted in disbelief rather than actually asking.

Nezu followed Lily back home to confront her parents about his decision. The girl just awkwardly sat on the couch, listening to their conversation. "This is honestly amazing.." the girl's grandfather said as he looked at the chimera in awe.

"So let me get this straight. My daughter actually risked her life to save you from a car accident?!"

Nezu nodded, making the man face his daughter with a displeased look. "Young lady, why did I only hear about this now?!"

The girl lowered her head as her lips sealed shut, she just couldn't stand the loud yelling. All that she can do is.. obey and do nothing, as if she was just a puppet.

The chimera noticed this and stepped in. "I may have no right to say this but, maybe miss Lily just didn't know how to tell you yet."

This caught her father's attention. "Considering the fact that you are an overprotective fellow, ahem." Nezu cleared his throat before continuing. "Maybe she was just worried that you will take her only freedom to go outside away from her."

He smiled at the man, rocking his feet back and forth. He stood there silent for a moment, letting the creature's words sink in.

"I meannnn, he's right though." The old man started as he adjusted his glasses. "You are being overprotective about dear Lilian here."

The man sighed. "Look, I'm sorry. I'm just really worried that you might get hurt, is all."

"I respect that dear sir." The chimera spoke again in Lily's behalf. "But it is quite important to let your child be free and not keep them locked up in a cage. Or else, they won't grow into the person they want to be."

The white haired girl glanced at the creature, being grateful that someone actually spoke up for her. She wasn't really used to be given such kindness.

Heh..

Maybe some people are different.

Her father managed to calm down a bit for now and asked more questions. "How do you know that she has what it takes to be a hero?"

Nezu grinned as he turned his head to ask the girl next to him. "Tell me miss Lily, how did you save me in the first place?"

The girl got startled a bit by the sudden question but immediately composed herself. "I honestly don't know, my body just acted on its own."

The chimera nodded as his smile widened. "Top-tier heroes made themselves known when they were still a student. Most of them will tell you this: 'Before I can think, my body already acted on its own.'"

Lily looked up at him, her eyes sparkled for a moment from his words. He faced her, still smiling. "You're like that, right?"

"She has the potential to save lives. She already saved mine." He said proudly, sneakily giving the girl a sweet grin. "I would like to help develop her talent more and I want her to learn new things and grow stronger." Lily looked at Nezu in awe. "Wouldn't you want that, sir Yane?" The chimera tilted his head at her father.

The man hesitated before speaking. "I'm just worried that she'll get hurt--"

"Of course she'll get hurt. Heroes get hurt. People get hurt. It's part of life."

"Father.." Lily spoke up as she raised her head to face her father. "Do you really think I'm that weak..?"

"I-- That--" her father stuttered before going silent, not being able to answer.

"Father, you know how much I've wanted this, this has been my dream. Let me prove myself to you, let me prove to you that I'm not as weak and fragile as you think." The girl said with passion, wanting to make her dream into reality. "Don't you want this?" She faced him, almost looking like a sad cute little bunny that's pleading for carrots.

"You know," her grandfather suddenly spoke up. "They're not just doing this for us, they're doing this for everyone. Crime rates have gone up and we need all the help we can get."

After a long moment, her father sighed as he scratched his head. "Alright. I accept your offer for my daughter to attend U.A."

Hearing this made the girl want to jump up and down with joy. But she isn't exactly the kind of person to do that rather abruptly.

She almost fell from her seat from hearing her father's approval. "HARE YA!" she exclaimed.

She immediately realized what she has done out of nowhere and quickly composed herself. "Ahem. I-I mean, I thank thee for coming to an agreement."

She didn't mean to show emotions that loudly.

Nezu just gave out a hearty chuckle. "This will be very interesting."

"I'm quite proud of you dear! I'm so glad that your father actually agreed on the principal's offer! Good luck on the test!"

"I thank thee, mother." After the call, the man then turned off his phone and placed it back in his pocket.

It was Sunday. Lily and her father are now headed to U.A. She has to take the written exam to determine which class she would be in.

The white haired girl and her father saw Nezu in front of the large school, waving his paw at them.

"It's quite wonderful to see you again." Nezu greeted. The father nodded, saying the same to him as well. "Follow me." He beckoned to follow him inside of the building.

As they walked, Lily couldn't help but look around. Big school means many people, and socialization isn't exactly in her skill set.

Though, she is quite excited to tell her friends about all of this.

And by friends, she means Midoriya and Bakugo.

But mainly Midoriya because Bakugo couldn't care less of course.

After walking through the almost endless halls, they stopped in front of a room. Nezu opened the door and walked in first. "Good morning everyone." He greeted as he entered.

Many desks and pro heroes were in the room. The room seems to be a faculty. The pro heroes stood up to greet Nezu a good morning as well.

The white haired girl knew that if Midoriya was here, he would bust out his crazy fanboy mode.

Well, she is an otaku as well but is actually good at keeping it hidden. Who am I kidding, people won't even bother to try to figure out if she's an otaku or not.

Her father closed the door behind them before following. "Right this way, miss Lily." The chimera led the girl to another room. It was quite small, having a few chairs and tables.

"I'll be right back to get the exam. You may take a seat over there while you wait for me." He instructed before leaving the room.

It was rather quiet when she was left alone.

Like it does even matter to her though, she's honestly quite used to it.

Used to being alone, yes.

She prefers it this way.

Does she?

She composed herself and walked to the place Nezu told her and took a seat.

This is good. She gets to collect her thoughts without anyone disturbing her.

It's fine.

It wasn't long before Nezu entered the room holding papers in his hands. He walked up to her with a smile on his face. "Here is the exam." He said as he placed the papers on the table in front of her.

"I thank thee, si-- I mean Nezu." She couldn't help but feel that she's doing something wrong when she doesn't use the term sir/miss to adress someone.

He chuckled. "I know you'll do great, Lily." He reassured her, slowly making his way to the door. "I'll be back in an hour. I wish you the best of luck!" Nezu exclaimed as he shut the door and left the girl alone once again.

Lily couldn't help but hear Bakugo inside her head calling her a nerd.

To be honest he's not exactly wrong.

She took out a pen from her bag before scanning the paper.

Just breathe.

Stay calm.

After giving herself a pep talk, she then started answering.

"You may take a seat on the couch, sir Yane." The little creature said as he sat on the small but comfy couch himself. The man followed and sat next to him.

"Would you like some tea?" The principal politely asked as he grabbed a teapot before pouring some tea into a cup. "No thank you." The father declined, waving a hand.

He placed the teapot down before bringing his pinky finger out and brought the cup to his lips to take a sip. "Your daughter is truly wonderful." Nezu said as he closed his eyes for a moment, relaxing a bit.

"If it wasn't for her, I would not be here right now.." he spoke softly, letting the man beside him be the only one who heard it. "It's quite a miracle."

The man nodded before speaking. "I still can't believe that she actually risked her life to save someone, especially you at a very young age."

"You must be proud of her, yes?"

"Of course. Especially since... she's not even my own real daughter."

Nezu paused for a moment to process his words. 'Not his own real daughter'?

It must be something personal, don't want to get too much into their family bussiness.

He glanced at the man. He couldn't help but notice that he looked rather uneasy. "Are you alright, mister Yane?" He asked as he tilted his head.

"Oh! Ah! Yes. Of course, why wouldn't I be?"

"You look rather tense, are you stressed perhaps?" The principal asked, finishing his cup of tea before placing his cup down on the table.

The man sheepishly scratched his head. "To be honest, yes. I'm very worried that she'll get hurt very badly in a way." He said as he closed his eyes.

"Don't worry too much sir, she's in good hands." Nezu patted his shoulder for comfort. The man leaned back on the couch and tried to relax.
