"Mama..where's papa?" The kid asked innocently as she looked up at her mother. She was curious on why there was a missing presence in the house.

The two were sitting on the sofa in the living room all alone. Her mother looked down on her, giving her a forced smile as she tried not to worry her child.

"He's..not coming back my dear." She said, her voice trembling. The child tilted her head, still left with unanswered questions in her mind. "But why--"

"Sorry dear. I actually left the oven on." The woman hurriedly stood up from her seat before making her way to the kitchen. The child just sat on the sofa in confusion.

The little girl remembered that the oven wasn't even on.

Her mother wasn't baking anything in there.

She held her blanket close to her as she stared off into the distance.

All she heared was sobbing through the walls.

Father wasn--

"Lily!!"

"Dear muffins..! What is it?" The white haired girl asked in frustration as she dropped the pen that was in her hand. "I was writing my new chapter..!" She nearly fell out of her chair because of her father's interruption.

She was in her room, sitting on a chair in front of a desk that has an open notebook on top of it. Story ideas and sketches of many things could be seen inside of the notebook, as pens and papers were organized to her liking.

"Young Izuku's on the telephone!" The man yelled from downstairs.

"Why would he call on the landline? He could've just messaged me on my phone." She asked as she closed the notebook.

"It's probably because you left your phone on silent." The girl swiftly turned her head towards her phone placed on the bed. To prove his saying, she stood up from her seat and walked towards her bed. She picked up her phone and turned it on.

Many notifications can be seen on the screen. Almost all of them were messages from Midoriya.

She stared at her screen with a blank expression. Seems like her father was right. "Oh. So I did."

"Come down here, he's on the phone!" The man shouted. Lily sighed while tucking her phone into her shoulder bag. She slung her bag over her shoulder as she opened the door to her room.

She then closed the door behind her before heading downstairs. "Quickly! I was watching a movie." Her father urged her to fasten her pace. He hurriedly passed the phone on her hand before zooming to his chair to watch television.

And I will tell you that he was as fast as the flash, ladies and gentlemen. No exaggerations.

Lily shook her head playfully seeing her father enjoy his movie. She placed the phone near her ear.

And oh boy did she regret it.

"LILY-CHAAAAAAAAAAN!!!"

"Son of the Holy Turtle--" the girl jolted as she moved the device away from her ear to protect her hearing. "Dear muffins! What the heck Izu..!"

"I'm sorryyyyyyyy..! Lily-chaaaan..!" The male voice from the other line trailed off, sounding like he was crying.

"What's wrong? Did your All Might figurine break or something?" The white haired girl asked as she held the phone right in front of her face, bracing for the next earrape.

"N-No! I thought you were mad at me..!" Midoriya reasoned, which only made her more confused.

She slowly brought the phone closer, being very cautious about it. "Mad? At you? Pray tell me dear sir, why would I be mad at you?" She asked, acting like a servant.

"Well it's probably because I got into trouble and you scolded me..? A-And the fact that you didn't even answer to my messages.." Midoriya explained slowly as if his mother got mad at him and is having a talk right now.

Lily blinked a few times as her face went blank. The conversation went quiet.

Mistaking her silence for anger, the boy spoke as his voice trembled, praying that she is not getting the chancla. "L-Lily..?"

The girl placed the mic near her mouth and took in a deep breath.

"LILY I AM SORRY FOR WHATEVER I'VE DONE!!"

Phewwww

Lily blew into the mic of the phone.

"OH MY ALL MIGHT--"

The green haired boy yelled as he moved the phone away from his ear. He almost threw the phone from the earrape he got.

"That's what you get for raping my ears earlier, you muffinhead." The girl said with a monotone voice. Welp, at least she finally got her revenge.

Even though she has an emotionless demeanor, she can pull out jokes at any moment.

"ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! I'M REALLY SORRY!" Midoriya cried as he breathed in and out from almost having a heart attack.

The girl shook her head, ready to have an actual conversation with her friend. "Ready to talk now, mamser?"

"Y-Yes.."

"Good."

Lily cleared her throat before starting. "Listen carefully. I'm not mad, dearest Izu. When I heard that you've been into trouble, I was actually quite irritated."

"I w-worried you..huh?" He asked, sheepishly scratching his cheek.

"Yes, but I do feel a bit guilty.." she admitted, having a staring contest with the wall.

"E-Eh?! It wasn't your fault at all! Don't blame yourself, Li-chan! It was all my fault!" He quickly replied. "Though, the reason why I wasn't replying, was because I was trying to finish a new chapter for my book." The white haired girl explained.

"Oh."

"Now you see, I'm not mad at you at all." Lily said, lightening up the mood a bit. Midoriya let out a sigh of relief.

He ain't getting the chancla today.

"Oh, by the way Izu..! Let's meet up someday, I have something important to tell you."

"O-Oh! That's fine with me--"

"YESS!! KICK HIS ASS!! LEZZ GO!!"

The girl's father suddenly exclaimed in enthusiasm as he raised his hands above his head like an excited little child.

She shook her head once again as she spoke. "I apologize, my father is having fun with his own party over there, and I'm clearly not invited."

The boy on the other line just laughed. "Alright! It's been nice talking to you, Lilifer!"

"I must say the same to you, Izufer." And just like that, the two friends hung up the phone. "Father, I'm heading out." Lily stated as she placed the telephone back down in its proper place.

Winner of the staring contest: Lily

"Where are you going?" Her father asked, stealing quick glances at her direction. "Just by the nearby cafe."

The man paused for a moment before taking a good look at his daughter. "HMM. So that's why you're wearing some formal attire."

"Alright, don't stay out too long and be back before dinner." He then relaxed back in his chair with his eyes glued to the television.

Having her father's approval, she went to the door.

Lily walked into the cafe that Nezu told her to meet him in. The place was quite nice, not too fancy but not too plain either. It was perfect to have the comfiness flowing in the atmosphere.

The girl's hands were shaking and she felt nervous. She always felt anxious when she has to communicate with others.

Her other side was telling her that this was a bad idea, but her other half was saying that she wants to get to know each other better.

Who knows, maybe she'll have a new friend.

A friend that actually won't betray her.

...

She looked around, trying to find the person who invited her. "Ah, miss Yane." A familiar voiced called her, making her look towards the source, only for her to find Nezu looking up at her with a smile. "You're right on time! Please, take a seat."

The chimera then climed up on his chair as the white haired girl sat on her's. He poured some tea into a cup and placed it in front of her before he did the same to himself. "Thank you, sir Nezu."

The small creature gave out a small chuckle. "Please, just call me Nezu."

Lily nodded as she placed her fingers around the cup's handle, staring into the tea with an expressionless face.

I've never been given with such kindness by other people before..

..I never knew that I would be the one who will be thanked..

Maybe things can change.

After a short moment, she took a sip from the cup. "So, please tell me about yourself." The small creature said as he gave her a smile in interest, curious about her story. She placed her cup down.

The white haired girl leaned back on her chair as she placed her forefinger on her mouth. "Well, my life isn't that interesting to be honest."

"I'm actually not exactly from here, I'm a Filipina. My mom is in the Philippines working and I'm living with my father and my grandpa, which are Japanese."

Nezu rested his chin on top of the back of his hands as he continued to listen. "Writing, painting, drawing and sketching are my hobbies. I write and draw most of the time though. They relate to my quirk after all."

"Interesting.." the chimera said as he nodded, eyes sparkling in interest. "Speaking of quirks.. may I ask what your quirk is?"

A notebook then magically appeared in her hand as she brought out a pen out of her bag. "Well, my quirk gives me the power to create anything I write or draw in this notebook." After giving him a good look, the notebook magically disappeared into thin air.

"It does have limits though. The things I can draw or write is depended on how much space the page I'm currently using has. I also have to sign it first before it appears."

"There are also mysteries that I haven't figured out yet about my quirk."

"Mysteries? Do you mean you haven't unlocked your full potential yet?" The small creature asked, quite intrigued on how she can be powerful if she's given the right push.

"Correct." She placed the pen back in her bag. "That is why it has been me and my friend's dream to attend U.A. I want to be someone that can help and spread joy to people." she said as she slighty twirled the tips of her hair, remembering that her father won't allow her.

"Oh? Why the long face?" Nezu asked, placing both of his hands on the table to take a good look at her.

"You see, we aren't very wealthy at the time and my father doesn't approve of me attending that school. Anyone would normally pick Heroics but, he thinks I couldn't handle what they have prepared." She glanced down at her hands, a dissatisfied look on her face.

"He thinks I'm weak. If only my family would trust me more."

"Souka.." the small creature said in a soft tone, rubbing his chin. "How are you doing with your studies?" He asked, trying to lighten up the mood at least for a little bit.

"Pretty good. I'm not exactly having trouble with it. That's another reason why I want to attend U.A. I want to explore and learn more new things."

"I admire your determination, miss Yane." Nezu exclaimed before humming softly. "Welp, it's settled!" He exclaimed proudly as if he waited all day to say it.

"Huh?"

"I'm enrolling you in U.A. High school." Nezu proudly said before finishing his cup of tea.

Lily blinked rapidly as she sat there silently. It took a moment for her to process it. "Abcdefg what."

"If you're wondering, yes I can do this, for I am.." he proudly grabbed something in his little pocket before taking out an ID and showed it right in front of her face.

Her eyes quickly scanned the object and read the information on it. Her soul almost left from her body.

A stranger that she just met is actually..

"P-Principal Nezu from U.A. High school!!"

And that's how that day changed her life.
