《Fateful Encounter (Fumikage Tokoyami x Reader)》Unexpected Feelings

As you, Fumikage, your friend, Mina, Ochaco, and Bakugou arrive back at the school bus, Mr. Aizawa sighs and tells the driver to turn around.
"We're already running late due to the disturbance and a student running away," he says flatly, "So there's no time to visit the Unforeseen Simulation Joint today. We might be able to go tomorrow, but probably not. Remember, next time someone jumps in front of a bus, don't leave the bus to follow them."
You feel bad about making everyone miss out, but you later discover something that absolutely blows your mind. The next day, Mr. Aizawa informs the class that a group of villains infiltrated the USJ while you were chasing the glowing boy. Thirteen, a teacher and pro hero who specializes in rescue missions, was informed that Class 1A wouldn't be visiting the USJ when the self-proclaimed League of Villains entered the facility. Thirteen went to UA to get help, but by the time she got back, the villains had left. She said that one of them, possibly their leader, was calling out for All Might. After looking into said incident, the principal of UA, Nezu, concluded that the reporters who tried to interview All Might were merely a distraction for villains to breach UA and gather knowledge of the school's schedule. Nezu deduced that they must have been searching for All Might, since he was scheduled to visit the USJ to teach your class along with Mr. Aizawa and Thirteen, and left when they realized that he wasn't coming.
With new light brought to yesterday's events, you are now seen as a hero in many people's eyes, including your classmates'.
"OMG," Mina exclaims, "You actually saved our butts! That's crazy!!"
Midorya says, "Yeah, we almost ran into a bunch of villains! It's actually kind of scary to think about - you know, that if you didn't run away-"

"-Shut up, f**king Deku," Bakugou growls. You roll your eyes and converse with the rest of your classmates. That's when you remember that you haven't told Fumikage about what happened yesterday, since you were busy being lectured by your teacher and your parents. You excuse yourself and leave the classroom, looking for Fumikage. You begin texting him:
You: Hey Fumi, where u at? I ned 2 talk 2 u
You: I mean need
Fumi: I'm at my house, what do you desire to share?
You: Its about yesterday, u know who that guy who stopped the bus is?
Fumi: Yes. What of it?
You: I ran after him & he told me about Hoshiko
Fumi: ...
Fumi: Do you wish to end our relationship?
You: Heck no!! I wanted u 2 know: she thought u didn't like her, but she didn't drop out of school
Fumi: I hoped the rumors were false, thank you for assuring that belief. Why did Yoru tell you this?
You: I knida twisted his arm the wrong way. Lots of pain, but I had to know why he didn't like you
You: Kinda
Fumi: You hurt him just to discover this?
You: ...
Fumi: I don't deserve such a caring girlfriend. You have shocked me with your kindness yet again
You: Aw thx Fumi but u r soooo sweet that I wonder if I deserve u (heart emoji)
Fumi: There you go again, bringing immense warmth to my heart (smiley face)
You: If u keep talking like that my face might be stuck in a smile 4ever (blushing smiley face)
Fumi: I have to end our conversation now, but I adore you infinitely (kissy face) (heart)
You: K bye luv u (kissy face)(kissy face)(kissy face)
You turn off your cellphone, feeling satisfied, exulted, and blushing furiously. You start to walk home, beaming radiantly.
"Hey, you d*mn nerd," Bakugou shouts at you. You're about to exit the school, but stop to respond to him when he suddenly runs up to you and says, "You drive me f**king crazy, (y/n). What the h*ll's wrong with you?" Confused, you shrug, and take a step backwards. "You- you just- Ugh. I hate every stupid word that comes out of your mouth..." He comes closer to you as he continues, "But every time I see your stupid face... I just wanna..." He leans in, getting his lips dangerously close to yours. You shove him back, and inform him that you're already taken. "(y/n)... Don't you feel the same? You always yell at me when I'm being an *ss. I thought we... had something."

"I only yell at you to defend others. I don't... like you like that, Bakugou. I'm sorry." You're baffled by his sudden confession. He always shouts and swears at you, but he couldn't possibly believe that was a proper way to show his affection... Right?
"Oh... I get it. You really do just hate me. I kinda hoped I was wrong..."
"Wha-?! No, I don't hate you, it's just-"
"-Don't bother. I get the message... B*tch." He walks away, trying to hide his tears.
"Bakugou!" You run over to him, trying to smooth things over. You don't have any feelings towards him, but you don't want to hurt him, either. "I'm sorry. I-if you want, we can be friends, but... I just don't like-like you, okay? I don't hate you or love you, but I don't want you to feel upset. I don't want anyone to be sad, not you, or my friends, or anyone! ...Do you understand?"
Wiping his tears, he replies, "I... I think so. But (y/n), I just want one... little..." He whips around and gives you a peck on the lips. He was so fast that you couldn't stop him, but you're going to give him a piece of your mind, that's for sure.
You slap him across the face, leaving him stunned and gaping in bewilderment. "I am in a relationship," you screech furiously. "And for the last time, I love Fumikage, not you!! You- you can't just go around kissing whoever you feel like! You..." Feeling a hand on your shoulder, you turn around to see your boyfriend. You gasp and apologize, trying to explain what happened.
"Do not panic, (y/n)," he says. "I saw all that I needed to. I love you as well..." He stares deeply into your eyes, and kisses you just as intensely. Bakugou storms away, never looking back, and Fumikage continues kissing you profusely. You break away for air, still unable to comprehend what just happened. "(y/n)..." He begins to caress your face as he continues, "I... I just cannot believe it... That you love me so immensely..."
"You know..." You simper as you whisper, "I've seen your room... Do you wanna see mine?"
He chuckles as he replies, "I would love to..."
"It's actually quite humorous," Fumikage says as the two of you walk to your house. "I went to the school to thank you for what you have done for me, only to witness you acting upon your love for me."
"I guess it is kind of ironic. Listen, Fumikage..." You hold his hand, saying, "I'm sorry if I've ever worried you or upset you. I want you to know that I really, really love you, more than anything else."
Blushing, his responds, "You show me constantly how much you care. And believe me, you've only been loving and supportive of me. Your affection is truly unparalleled, perhaps even to mine... Though I adore you more than words could ever describe." He leans his head on your shoulder, and you both walk to your home in utter bliss.

Tur Briste
A Druid cultivation novel. Borrows concepts from Wuxia and Xianxia but using Druid myth and lore. More on this at the bottom. Crow is son of Maddox, a Druid with an ancient bloodline and a people with a story spanning toward the beginning of time. Cursed, unfated, and a heap of bad luck have brought him only pain and suffering, but nothing will stop him. Nothing can stop him. A son of Maddox doesn’t bow his head. A son of Maddox understands that only a man with roots, with something to lose, will fight until the last drop of blood leaves his body. The Draoidh were once a proud people. They were both respected and hated for their form of righteousness. Power wasn’t something they gained through the might of their arms, but through intelligence. Their fall was all the more disheartening for the weaker cultivators. The tens of thousands of years that followed… chaos reigned. They forced Draoidh until most fled to the lower realms, nearly wiped out and exhausted. They went into hiding and became known as the Druids of the Oak. The Druid Order wasn’t the powerhouse it had been, and only nine of the major clans survived the calamity. Their bloodline weakened, as well as their prestige. Even the remaining clans fought amongst each other. Already on the decline and near extinguished, the Maddox clan can only struggle for survival, but their foundation wasn’t a joke. Weakened, but not weak. The other clans will understand this difference soon enough. Tur Briste, the Shattered Tower, awaits Crow’s ascension. Reaching the upper realms is only the first step in reestablishing the Draoidh. The Druids of the Oak remembered every betrayal and grievance, and they’ll return to power and reclaim what once belonged to them. The upper realms may have forgotten, but the Druid Order has not. Please Note:1) This is harem story. There are only a few chapters with sex, and it’s not a focus of the story. I’ll only add graphic sex if I feel the story needs it, so not gratuitously. Either way, Crow has several women. This is in line with Druid/Celtic history, and harems/reverse harems were an accepted part of their culture. Further, they had open marriages, meaning the man or woman could end their marriage at any time. While it was still a patriarchy, women had almost equal power. They were a very progressive culture. 2) There is a period of a 30-50 chapters where Crow loses the ability to cultivate like a Druid so he adopts an eastern body cultivation method for a while. This is temporary, but some people feel it’s misleading, so I am pointing it out ahead of time. I promise, the Druid stuff comes back, and 90% of the lore/myths/creatures/gods are all related to Druid/Celt/Irish/Scottish history. 3) I use many original names, most of which are in Gaelic or Irish. In the story, I refer to this language as Ancient. I enjoy all kinds of folklore and myths, so I encourage you to google those original names as they arrive. I give some background on them at the end of the chapter in my author’s note. 4) I use Ogham runes a lot, these are like the Druid alphabet, and they based each rune on a sacred tree so they also have symbolism associated with them. Again, feel free to google that too. It’s pretty neat stuff. Quick Translations:Draoidh = DruidTur Briste = Shattered Tower or Broken Tower Release Schedule:As of Oct 1, 2021- 3 chapters released every Sunday (May have up to two bonus chapters)- Side character chapters… this might be bonus chapters I release through the week. So they won’t count toward the 3 chapters on Sunday.- Please understand I work full time, have two kids, and can’t spare as much time as I’d like toward my writing. Maybe in the future I can switch to doing this full time, but for now 3 chapters is a comfortable pace for me. Lastly… I very much appreciate all my readers and thank you for allowing me to entertain you!

Rimward Bound
Every citizen of the sky-cities of His Majesty's Star-Empire knows that a ship, both sky- and star-, is more then just a few bits of metal. It is the grand sum of it's hull and the crew that sail it. 'Hulls of battle-steel and men to match!' That's what the Navy's recruitment poster's claim at least. Every sailor knows that there is one more component that the city-bound folk ignore at their own peril: the soul of the ship. That it takes both man and hull to make a true ship, and that neither alone serve well or for long. In 8225 Lord Jeffrye Saltonstall the Fourth, Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps, demands semi-automated ships to 'reduce the loss of life among our brave crews', manages to convince the other politicians and bureaucrats to fund them, and gets the Office of Ship Construction to sign off on the ships as structurally sound. Dockyard workers shake their heads at the ships, muttering that they are cursed from birth, even as construction drags on. In 8230 the Explorer, first of her class, is launched. She sets out in 8233 to great fanfare on a trip expected to last six months. Neither she nor her twelve-person crew is ever heard from again. By 8235, the remaining seven Explorers are are commissioned. Lord Saltonstall managed to find crews for six of them but at the cost of mass resignations. The Night Horse, last of the Explorer class, sat in reserve as her sister-ships served well enough despite ill luck and misfortune. The Office of Ship Construction quietly issues notice that no more semi-automated ships are to be built and that all active Semi-automated ships are to be quietly retired and broken up for scrap over the next ten years. The Night Horse, sitting in reserve, is missed due to bureaucratic oversight. In 8250 Lord Ayland Wynstryngham the Eighth assumes the office of Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps. His first act is to issue notice that no ship is to be without crew nor sit in dock or reserve for longer then required for maintenance and upkeep. The Night Horse, all but forgotten, is quietly brought back into active service. Recruiting a crew for her proves another matter entirely. What poor or desperate fool would willingly sign on to crew, much less command, a cursed ship and spend months or years in deep space? Well, you would, of course. Where else is a kid from the gutters going to find that kind of freedom in the service of His Majesty? A [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] 2021.
