《Fateful Encounter (Fumikage Tokoyami x Reader)》Alone Together

"Oh my god what's GOING ON OUT HERE?!?!" you exclaim. Multiple villains are wreaking havoc, some threatening hostages if their demands aren't met, and others simply causing chaos for the thrill of it. Several cars crash right before your eyes in the heat of the insanity. Police are arriving now, but heroes have yet to be seen. You call your parents and send them photos so they can fully comprehend how dire the situation is. They tell you to stay at Fumikage's house since any attempt to return home would be extremely dangerous. You turn back around and knock on Fumikage's door.
"(y/n)," Fumikage begins to query, "Why do you desire to-"
You exclaim fearfully, "-Look outside, Fumikage! It's crazy out there!!"
"My word, it is absolute mayhem," he agrees. "C-come in quickly, before you are injured!!"
"I'm sorry to trouble you and your family, but as you can tell, I can't go home tonight. Is there any way I could stay here?"
"I... I would first have to phone my parents..."
"Oh. They're not here?"
"Yes, that is correct, and I'm unsure of how cooperative they will be..." You take a seat on the soft black coach, which is surprisingly comfortable. Fumikage takes his phone to his room for privacy during the call. He told you that you could turn on the TV if you want to. You turn on the television, grab the remote, and turn down the volume as you watch the first channel that plays. You gasp in shock to see the mess outside up on the screen, reporters simply getting in the officials' way. You feel terrified and your stomach is tied up in knots. For all you know, a group of villains could barge in at any moment and take the two of you as hostages. Worse yet, you could be forced outside the safety of Fumikage's house and separated from him, and then his quirk could take control over him and the furthered madness could result in casualties... You can't stop contemplating the worst possible outcomes until Fumikage enters the living room. His call over and his answer known, you mentally prepare for the worst as he informs you of the situation.

He begins: "They have informed me of their decision." His attention is grabbed by the quiet chaos playing on the TV. "Why would you view this, (y/n)?" Turning off the TV, he continues, "All it will do is further worry you. Don't concern yourself with the events outside, since we needn't get involved. Just as those reporters did, we would merely hold officials back and prohibit them from performing to the best of their abilities."
"I couldn't agree more," you reply. "Honestly, I shouldn't have watched that in the first place. I did just get upset about it. Thanks for turning it off, Fumikage. Oh! By the way, what did your parents say?"
"They said you could stay for as long as you need."
"Well, that's great!" You glance at the antique clock hanging up on the wall and continue, "It's almost 8 o'clock, so we still have plenty of time to stay up. Do you wanna hang out or something?" Grinning, you ponder all the sweet possibilities that this unique situation provides. After a moment of hesitation, he replies:
"Perhaps we could view a movie," he says, "Or we could converse for the time being. We could scour the fridge and cabinets for food, if you are hungry." You know exactly what you long to do, but you don't think he'd want to. As you're trying to think of some way you could meet in the middle, Fumikage walks into the kitchen. You ignore him and continue contemplating the best course of action.
After a couple minutes of thinking, Fumikage asks if you would like some supper, since he's making his. You are pretty hungry, so you accept his offer. You mentally go through countless ideas and possibilities, carefully mulling over your options. About ten minutes later, Fumikage informs you that your dinner is ready and you take a seat at the dining table next to him. You pick up your chopsticks and begin consuming your delicious bowl of udon. You can't help but look over at your crush, who doesn't seem to mind. In fact, he can't get his eyes off of you, either.

As you're finishing your meal, you notice a bit of kamaboko on his face. "Fumikage, you've got a little something..." You gently wipe it off and smile sweetly. "There. ...Um, I'll go put my dishes in the sink." He suddenly grabs your hand gingerly, right before you stand up.
"Allow me," he says. He takes your bowl and chopsticks, as well as his own, and quickly rinses them. As he sets the clean dishes on a washcloth to dry, you lean against the wall near the kitchen, waiting for him. He comes to you eagerly, then holds your hand and puts his other on the wall. He leans in close to you and you feel his breath on your scarlet cheeks.
"(y/n)," he whispers seductively, "What do you want to do... Now that we're all alone?" You didn't see this coming, but at the same time, you're really enjoying it.
"Well," you say, "There is something I'd like to do..." You close your eyes and place your lips on his.
He jumps backwards, startled at your action. "Is something wrong?" you ask.
"W-Well, y-yes! I d-didn't mean-n- That's n-not what I-" He continues stuttering, trying to form a clear sentence with no success.
Realizing what had happened, you say, "I'm sorry, it's just- I misread the situation... Your voice is just so sexy already that when you said what you said, I totally got the wrong message. That was... my bad."
Fumikage collects himself and replies, "No... Y-you weren't at fault... You merely misinterpreted my actions. I should be asking for your forgiveness."
"Please don't! Really, I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that..." You trail off, still longing to kiss him, the desire burning passionately in your heart. Fumikage can see it written all over your face. He steps towards you and holds your hands. You grasp his as he asks if you'll watch his favorite movie with him.
"Of course," you shriek gleefully. You turn on the TV and sit patiently on the coach. Fumikage grabs a soft, silky, jet-black blanket from his room, returns to the living room, and he gently tosses the blanket on top of you. When he sits down next to you, you scooch close to him and give him part of the smooth, shiny blanket. The two of you snuggle, giggle, and blush as Fumikage starts the movie. You cuddle next to him the entire time, and he cozies up to you, too. While you're watching the movie, you can't help but glance at Fumikage from time to time - it's truly blissful to watch him enjoy every moment he spends gazing at the screen. However, when your eyes happen to meet, you both are definitely at your happiest.
You awaken to discover Fumikage's gorgeous head leaning against your shoulder. Then you recall what had occurred - you watched the entire movie, something anime, and fell asleep during a commercial. Fumikage was still fast asleep, so you carefully reached for your phone, which was on the ottoman, and tried not to interrupt his rest. You barely grip it between your fingers and return to your original upright, seated position. It's still almost an hour until my alarm to get ready for school goes off, you think. I guess I'll just go back to sleep...

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return

Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
