《Fateful Encounter (Fumikage Tokoyami x Reader)》Another Trial

You glance to your right to see (f/n) jogging in place, warming up for the 50-meter dash. You stretch to prepare for the sprint and conserve energy. To get the best speed possible, you have to absorb someone's energy while you run. If you absorb your friend's energy, she'll get a slower time since you're both running at the same time. You watch the other students running, determining which one will have the most speed. As your time approaches, you see the boy with engines on his calves run at an incredible speed and feel confident that absorbing his energy will make you very fast. At last, it's time for you to run alongside your best friend. The test begins, and you dash towards the finish line. Since you're so good with your quirk, you amplify the energy you absorb when you use the energy. Your classmate's jaws drop as you finish with a mind-blowing time of 2.15 seconds.
"(y/n)!" your friend exclaims as she sprints over to you. "How did you go so fast?? That was insane!"
"Let's just say that it wasn't my speed that got me such a fast time," you reply as you point to a confused and exhausted boy.
"Oh my god! You used Tenya's energy?!"
"Of course. We're supposed to use our quirks, right?"
"Yeah, good point. Thanks for not using my energy!"
"Don't mention it. Besides, I wouldn't want to worsen someone else's performance, especially not yours." You smile and (f/n) comes in for a big hug. She always gives her friends plenty of hugs, even when they're covered in sweat from running a 50-meter dash.
The other tests were just as easy as the first. You nearly broke the grip strength-reading device from using multiple students' energy in the grip strength test. You could have cleared the sandbox twice during the long jump. Tenya Iida was drained once again when you amazed in the repeated side step test. When the ball throw test came around, everyone was in awe of Ochaco's throw - she used her quirk to make the ball fly through the air endlessly. You had to acknowledge the fact that she was easily the best, yet not necessarily the best to absorb energy from. Since her quirk alone is what got her an "infinity" for her score, you had to pay careful attention to the other students to see who got the second-best score. Midorya was able to throw the ball very far, but you couldn't absorb much energy from him for some reason. Instead, you used Bakugou's energy; he was the jerk who placed first on the entrance exam and tried to pick on Ochaco.

"What the h*ll?," Bakugou yells. "How'd you get over 1,000 f**king meters, b*tch?!"
"It's all thanks to you; I absorbed your energy. Without it, I would have never got 1,287 meters' distance. I guess I should be thanking you."
"D*mn you, b*tch!!" You try to keep your snickers to yourself. Looks like he finally got what he deserved.
After the remaining three tests were complete, Mr. Aizawa, your teacher, wrote up the results and showed the class. You looked to discover your ranking:
(y/f/n/): 1st
Momo Yaoyorozu: 2nd
Shoto Todoroki: 3rd
(friend's full name: f/f/n): 4th
Katsuki Bakugou: 5th
Tenya Iida: 6th
Fumikage Tokoyami: 7th
..........
You were exulted to see that you were in first place, and that your best friend was in fourth. You were delighted to see that Tokoyami was in the top ten. You knew he'd never come in last, yet you still let out a sigh of relief when you saw he was far from last place. It felt nice to see that you and your best friend beat that jerk, Bakugou. It still feels incredible to be in first place. Curious as to who you'll say good-bye to, you look further down the list:
..........
Toru Hagakure: 20th
Minoru Mineta: 21st
Izuku Midorya: 22nd
You felt bad for Midorya, but you knew there was nothing you could do. Mr. Aizawa, after giving you and your classmates a moment to look at the rankings, said, "It looks like Izuku Midorya is in last place." Empathizing with Midorya, you clenched your fists in despair. "But," he continued, "I was just kidding. No one's going to be expelled."
The entire class was either shocked or pretending to have known the entire time. You relaxed your hands and went to congratulate your friends.
"I thought I was gonna be expelled for a moment there," a still nervous Midorya uttered. "That was really scary. I really thought he was being serious."
"It looks like your here to stay," you assure him.
Bakugou heard you and remarked, "We really can't get rid of him? That's a bummer."
He wore a wicked grin, but you easily deflect his comment: "Yeah, you really had to get fifth, Bakugou? You'd be better off going to some other school, 'cause this one is for heroes-in-training, not pro-jerks." Bakugou glares at you, then stomps away. Midorya thanks you for standing up for him, and you meet up with (f/n) and Fumikage.

"Hey guys," you shout gleefully, "Great job in the quirk apprehension test! You guys were awesome!"
Fumikage turns to face you and replies, "Perhaps, though you ranked first out of every student in Class 1A. Your performance was, quite literally, most impressive."
"Oh, not really," you say, "My quirk lets me take other people's energy and power. I just used my quirk."
"Perhaps," your BFF chimes in, "But because of you, in a way, everyone got first place."
"I guess you're right," you reply. She doesn't realize that you only absorbed energy from the students with the most energy and power, so you didn't really use everyone's energy. Still, she's right - in a way, a lot of students got first place, even Bakugou.
Mr. Aizawa leads the class back into homeroom, and you finish your first day of high school. Although it was a little scary, you made it through yet another trial and can continue to live your dream at UA High. When class is over, Fumikage walks over to your desk where you're finishing up a few notes. By the time he arrives, you're done, and you stand to meet him.
"I know it might not be under the same circumstances as yesterday," he says, "But would you mind if I accompany you to your home?" You don't quite understand why he'd want to walk you home again, but you had such a great time the day before that you have to say yes.
"Of course, let me just say good-bye to (f/n) real quick and we can go."
"Certainly. Take all of the time you desire." He stands by your desk as you stroll to your best friend.
She sees you coming and immediately throws her arms around you, embracing you in a hug. You tell her that Fumikage is walking you home again and that you hope she has a good rest of her day. She has a sudden mischievous smile on her face and whispers something into your ear.
"What?" you say, "There's no way."
"Uh-huh, there's a way," she snickers. "He can't stop looking over at you. Look, look!"
"There's a lot of people over here, who's to say he's looking at me?"
"If you don't wanna admit it, then go ahead, but it's true. Just ask him!"
"What?! I can't just ask him something like that! It would be super awkward! I-I have to go, he's waiting for me. See you tommorrow!"
"Bye! And if you doubt me at all, ASK HIM!"
"Not so loud, he'll hear you! Bye!" You and your bestie part ways and you meet up with Fumikage again. When he asks what you were talking about, you just tell him it was "girl stuff". He nods and the two of you leave UA and head out for your place.
The two of you struck up a conversation, but the thought of what your friend had said was floating around in the back of your mind. You knew it was a little weird, but ever since (f/n) brought it up, you've been dying to ask him. You stop him for a moment and stand in silence, trying to find the right words. All you can think about, however, is that burning question:
"Fumikage... Do you like me?"

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. The cost? Every other healing spell she casts is absolutely paltry in comparison to the rest of her race, making her family outcasts within her society. That potential alone, however, classes Breve as a Rank A Healer. By what metric? Well, by the crazy elf lady who’s about to destroy her planet. Wait, what? Here's the low-down: her planet has been targeted by the Cosmic Bulldozing Team, which, as their name suggests, operates in the apparently lucrative business of destroying planets. This comes with the unfortunate side-effect of also murdering everyone who lives there. And Breve would’ve been killed, too, if she hasn’t unintentionally passed their audition for a new healer. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along. "Buckle in, rookie: you've got some planetary destruction ahead of you." (Updates every 2 days.)
