"𝐒𝐎, 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐎?" Diego asked looking at Five pacing around the room behind him as Lila ripped the bandaid off his scar.

"Well, Vanya had a lot to process. She'll come around. We know she will." Five stopped walking and looked at the machines once again.

"What about the guys that went after her?"

"The Swedes?" Y/n asked as she was sitting across Diego while he turned at her.

"Yeah, I mean, how do you two know they won't go after her again?"

Elliot gave Lila and Y/n their cups of coffee and put down Diego and Five's ones on the table in front of him as Five answered for Y/n.

"We don't."

"Mm, any idea who sent them?" Lila sipped her coffee.

"Oh, I have my suspicions." Five looked at Lila and grinned. "But right now, our priority is finding dad and getting answers, 'cause everything else depends on it." Five took his coffee and sat down next to Y/n.

"Which, for the record, I found him already." Diego protested.

"And then let him go before we could have a meaningful conversation." Y/n smiled and sipped her coffee.

"He stabbed me." Diego bluntly said.

"I'm surprised he waited this long, Diego. We've all had the urge." Five remarked and Y/n chuckled at his comment.

Lila also laughed at it and put her hand up to show Five to give her a high-five. "Good one." But he just looked at her suspiciously and continued talking so she put her hand down awkwardly.

Y/n looked at Lila and at Five back and forth thinking what was causing him to be such a dick to a nice woman as he had some idea why he might dislike her.

"Good thing I know where dad's gonna be tonight." Five put down his coffee on the table and gave a paper to Y/n who was sitting on his left.

She looked up and down at him and took the paper out of his hands. But while Y/n was reading, Diego poped another question.

"Where'd you get that?"

"Found it at his office while he was busy stabbing you." Five smiled sarcastically while Diego chuckled sarcastically.

"Wait, what?" Y/n said reading the paper.

Diego sat up, snatched it out of her arm, and began reading it himself. Y/n rolled her eyes at that childish behavior and leaned back on her chair drinking her coffee.

Then Diego began reading everything out loud for everyone. "Hoyt Hillenkoetter and the Consulate General of Mexico in Dallas cordially invite you to a gala."

But when Diego mentioned the name while reading, something clicked in Elliot's head. "Whoa, wait." Everyone looked at him. "Hoyt Hillenkoetter? Are you serious?"

"You know him?" Five asked looking at Y/n but she just shrugged.

Then Lila gasped as if something magical happened. "We should go." Diego turned his head back to her and they looked into each other's eyes, their faces probably only 2 inches apart. "Says there's gonna be a seafood tower."

But Elliot continued talking. "No, Hillenkoetter is...is one of the Majestic Twelve."

"The hell is the Majestic Twelve?"

"It's a...a secret committee." Elliot put down the coffee cup and began rummaging through the room. "Uh, scientists, military, uh, deep state." He went to his desk and began searching for something while Five and Y/n turned around to look at him. "No one knows what they really do."

"Wait, so they're government?" Diego grunted sitting up.

"Shadow government. Yeah, Kennedy was the first president to try to push 'em into the light, but these guys are not to be trifled with." Eventually, he found what he was looking for. "Oh, here we go. Ah, right here." He came back to the table and put some photos on it. "This, uh...this right here." He pointed to one man in the picture. "That's Hoyt right there."

Five was inspecting everything very carefully and looking over the men in the photo. "Huh."

Everyone also looked at the photo and counted all of the men in it. But they all found something wrong in common with the picture.

"I only count 11." Lila gasped.

"Well, that's because they've only identified 11 so far." Elliot explained to her.

"Who's the twelfth?" Diego asked.

Diego, Five, and Y/n exchanged glances and solved the mystery in no time.

Y/n slightly chuckled to herself and leaned back on her chair crossing her arms. "I bet you 20 bucks the twelfth one is dad."

"𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐍𝐎. 𝐈 𝐀𝐌 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀 𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒." Y/n protested and pointed to one of the dresses that Lila was holding in her arms.

"Oh, come on, we have to blend in. And besides, Diego's wearing a suit so what's the worst that can happen?" She chuckled.

"What if we have to fight back? You can never be too prepared." Y/n put her right hand on her hip and tilted her head. That really wasn't the reason she didn't really want to wear it, but she had to say something reasonable.

"Can you just put the dress on? Just try it!" Lila threw the dress for Y/n and she sighed as she caught it.

"Fine." She went to the other room and closed the door. While Lila was changing in the previous room, Y/n took her academy uniform and put it on the bed beside her. After so much time of wearing that same uniform, it felt weird. She took the dress in her hands and examined it.

It wasn't that bad. It was a simple black dress with short sleeves. It was long enough for it to reach her knees. There was also a black belt that came with the dress to put around the waist.

So she put the dress against her will. She managed to zip the zipper by herself, she also put on the belt and when she was done, she opened the door.

Lila turned around and gasped. "Oh, it's perfect for you!" She smiled.

"Thanks, I guess. It's not that bad as I imagined it." The girl chuckled.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" Lila turned around once again and pulled out some simple red heels. They had a simple, not high, heel and they had little belts around the ankles to keep them secure. "Here, now it's complete."

Y/n came closer to Lila and took the shoes out of her hands. "Wow, they're...very nice. Thanks, Lila." She smiled.

"Your welcome. Now let's get ready." Lila said as Y/n sat down on the bed and put those shoes on. Lila also put her shoes on and Y/n stood up to see if it was comfortable to walk.

"Hm, interesting. These heels are the only ones that don't put my feet through agony. How do you have such great taste?" Y/n said as she twirled.

Lila sat up and looked at her. "Oh, my mother. She's the one with the good taste. I just copied her."

"Well, then your mother has incredible taste in fashion." Y/n chuckled and sat beside Lila on the bed.

"We are not done yet." Lila stood up and signaled for Y/n to take a seat so that she can make her hair.

"Oh, no. I already put on a dress and some heels. That's more than enough for-"

"Do you want to look good for Five or not?" Lila interrupted her and Y/n's eyes went wide.

"Wh-what?! Why would I want to do that?" She stood up and nervously smiled.

"Because you're together and are the cutest couple I have ever seen in my entire life." Lila almost whined. Y/n blushed like crazy and looked away. There was a little silence before Lila spoke again. "So, you gonna sit down, or what?"

Y/n rolled her eyes and laughed. "All right, all right, I will." So she came to Lila and sat down on the chair.

Lila moved her chair to the front so that she could fix her hair easier and get to work. She started by combing her hair very gently.

"You have such beautiful hair, ya know?" Lila said and that caught Y/n's attention from daydreaming.

"Oh, really? Thanks, I never really paid attention to it." The girl shrugged and chuckled. But after that, there was a long and excruciating silence. Y/n saw how Lila looked very sad and interested in something, thinking about something so deeply while getting her hair ready.

"So, you like Diego?"

Lila snapped out of her gaze. "What? What do you mean?"

"Well, it's just that ever since you escaped together, you have been inseparable. Not to mention, that you saved his life from getting stabbed." Y/n elaborated and Lila listened very closely.

"I don't know. But I don't think that's important right now." She said as she finished braiding her hair. "And you're done. What do you think?"

Y/n's hair was just two small braids from the front braided into one on the back of her head. The rest of it was left to be down. Y/n touched her hair and stood up to go to the bathroom to see the finished look.

"Wow! How do you know how to do such beautiful hairstyles?" She asked as she twirled and looked in the mirror.

"My mum used to make my hair like that. I really liked it so I learned how to do it myself. It's one of the only hairstyles I actually know how to do." Lila explained.

Y/n walked out of her bathroom and back to Lila. "Well, thank you...for everything."

"No problem. Now let's go." Lila took her hand and took her out of the room by opening the door and walking to the living room where the boys were getting ready.

"Finally, I thought you-Woah..." Five stood from the sofa and started talking but when his eyes landed on Y/n, he stopped talking and stared at her in amazement. Y/n blushed and smiled at Five in awe.

Lila walked over to Diego while Five walked closer to Y/n. "Y/n, you look...incredible." Five looked her up and down and put his hands on her waist to bring her closer.

Y/n blushed even more at that comment and put her hands around his neck. "Thank you. Ready to go to the ball?"

Five broke their hug and stood next to her side. He bent his arm so that she could cling to it and so that they could walk together. Y/n slightly gasped and took hold of his hand as Five smirked.

"Oh, I'm ready."

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐑'𝐒 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 filled the air as the people walked into the ball with their friends and dates. The four of them were hiding behind a brick wall to avoid getting caught.

Diego was the one to look up to see if the coast was clear. He hopped over the wall being followed by Lila, Y/n, and Five. They bent down and hid behind some car to discuss what they are going to do.

"So, what's the plan?" Lila was the first one to say something.

"We infiltrate, we identify, we extract. Double time." Diego explained everything, more complicated than it should have been, to Lila and, of course, she didn't understand a word he said before continuing to look over the car at the people.

"What the hell's he talking about?" She turned to the kids for more simple answers.

"Find the old man and get out fast." Y/n simply replied for Lila and nodded.

Diego was pissed that he wasn't understood so he turned back to them. "That's what I said. On me."

Diego first ran bending down behind the cars so that nobody would notice them. After him, it should have been Lila, but she turned to Y/n.

"After you."

"Thanks." Y/n smiled and ran to Diego.

After that, Lila turned back to Five. "You coming?"

But Five just squinted his eyes at her and glared not moving a muscle.

"What, I can't be polite?" Lila shrugged.

"Cut the crap." He came closer to her. "All right? My dimwitted brother and clueless sister might buy your bullshit, but I don't trust you for a second."

"O ye of little faith."

"Stick it up your ass." Five smiled sarcastically not breaking his gaze.

Lila turned away from him and smiled. But he just rolled his eyes following her to Diego. Then they snuck inside the consulate and acted like they were at the right place at the right time. Which, they probably already were. Or so thought like that.

The slow mariachi music played inside the building as the four of them came inside. Lila and Diego walked away while Five took two glasses of champagne: one for him and one for his Y/n.

He walked up to her and gave her champagne glass with a smile. Y/n turned around and took the glass. "Oh, why thank you."

"Cheers." He smiled and they clinked their glasses before drinking their drinks.

Lila also took one glass of champagne from another waiter and drank it too while Diego kept looking around.

"I don't see dad anywhere."

"Just keep an eye out for the Majestic Twelve." Five answered and looked around.

"Five and I got the upstairs." Y/n added.

Then Five leaned back. "Diego, try not to do anything too stupid."

The pair gave their finished glasses of drinks to the waiter that was walking around and continued with their work.

Lila chuckled softly but Five ignored her as he did before. Y/n tried to walk away but Five took her hand and pulled her back. He put his hand on her waist and the other interlocked with her hand's fingers.

"Uh-uh-uh. Where are you going?" He grinned and said.

Y/n just looked into his eyes and asked. "Aren't we supposed to go and do the job?"

"Not until you dance with me."

Y/n smirked and took his hand. She dragged him into the ballroom since if he wanted to dance, then he will get some dance, and Five took pulled her back. Now they were back into the position that they started with before: Five's hand around her waist as their fingers interlocked once again.

They began swaying to the music and Y/n was giggling throughout the whole dance. Y/n's one hand was son Five's shoulder while the other was interlocked with one of his. Their faces were so close it felt like the didn't even need to lean in and kiss one another, they could do it just right there.

Then they noticed that Diego and Lila were dancing too in the same room. Y/n looked over at them and smiled.

"Aw, they look so cute together. I ship them so hard."

Five turned his head and looked at the pair too. "Oh, them? I don't know, she seems kind of suspicious to me."

Y/n looked back at Five with a weird look. "What do you mean? She seems like an incredible woman. Diego's lucky to have her."

"She just seems too...good. Doesn't she seem like that to you?"

Y/n thought about it for a second. Five was kind of right. But she didn't want to believe that so she wasn't about to just straightly agree with him. "I don't think so." But she decided to change the subject.

"Hey, I thought you didn't pay attention to dad's ballroom dancing lessons?" The girl chuckled

"Oh, I did. I guess I never really got to chance to show them off to you." Five smiled and mimicked Reginald's accent. "You never know, what can overcome you in life. You must be prepared to strike for greatness and greatness only. You should have the skill of anything on earth and a soul of a spirit. At times it can be a matter of two things: a potential life filled with incredibility...and a horrible and painful..." Five dipped Y/n and she slightly fake gasped at that. "...death."

Y/n smiled as Five pulled her back. "That does sound like something dad would say. I never paid attention to what he was saying tho. I just danced with Diego and showed him off what I could do. Guess he learned something from me after all." She looked at her other brother and smiled.

"Well, he did learn something since you are definitely the most extraordinary woman..." Five spun her around and brought her back closer with her hands around her waist while his hands were still holding her's. "...I have ever met."

He put her back into the previous position and they continued dancing. Y/n was smiling as Five held tight onto her waist and didn't let her go even for one second.

"And you are the closest man to perfection I have ever met."

Then Five smirked slightly dipped her as their eyes locked with one another. Y/n saw that Five was about to kiss her but she wanted to get out of that situation and avoid it as fast as possible.

At that same moment, she saw some men, who looked suspicious, walking up the stairs to the second floor where the both of them were supposed to be checking.

Her smile faded away and Five's smile also vanished. "Something wrong?"

Y/n stood up by herself and let herself go out of the hug. Their fingers were free and Five's hand wasn't on her waist anymore.

She looked at the men and took Five's hand. "We need to go and we need to go now."

Five looked at her suspiciously and confused. He thought he had done something wrong but alas he got back to the job. She dragged him bending down in order not to draw any attention as the pair got up the stairs.

They saw that the men were still in the hallway, so they turned around and hid behind a wall so that they couldn't be seen.

When the men got inside the room and shut the door, they walked out of their hiding spot and into the hallway.

"What do we do now?" Y/n whispered looking around.

Five looked behind them to see if someone was following them and took her right hand. "Let's go."

They teleported into a closet that was inside the room that the Majestic Twelve previously entered.

Five put his hand on her mouth and slightly shushed her to tell her that she needed to stay quiet. Y/n nodded and began spectating the men that were talking as Five removed his hand from her mouth.

They looked through the gaps inside the closet to see the men and to get some information of what they were talking about.

"The president is continuing to make inquiries into Roswell and the other crash sites, gentlemen." Some man said. "And as you know, we cannot allow him to get his nose into our business."

"I've confirmed the motorcade will indeed be turning left on Elm Street. We'll have our people in place."

Then they saw some man wiping his monocle clean and putting it on. "Gentlemen, this plan of yours seems ill-timed."

"It's going to be a turkey shoot." Another man, who sat on the sofa, spoke.

But something clattered inside the closet. Y/n saw that they messed up and looked at Five with a "Really?" look. But that was enough to get Reginald's attention. He turned around towards the closet and stared at it.

"Dad?" The kids whispered in unison as they saw the face of the man.

"Shh." Reginald shushed everyone in the room so that he could hear everything. He walked to the fireplace and picked a metal stick you use to keep the fire tamed. He started walking closer to the closet but stopped. He looked through the gaps to see if anyone was inside as the kids didn't even breathed.

He then used the metal stick to stab and completely demolish the closet door. The slats clattered and he opened the door to see what he had caught. But there was no one there.

Turns out, Five teleported them just in a nick of time. They teleported back into the same hallway they were before and heavily sighed with relief.

"God, that was-" Y/n wanted to say something but when they turned around they saw one of the swedes standing there.

"Shit." The pair said in unison.

The man slammed Five against the wall and wanted to slam him to the other one but he teleported. Y/n jumped on the cabinet that was next to him and kicked him right in the face with her heel.

When she landed on the ground and grunted, the man was touching his jaw out of pain. At the same time, Five teleported behind him and kicked him the leg which caused him to fall on his knees.

While Y/n was taking off her heels on the floor as fast as she could, Five jumped on the man's back and tried to break his neck. But he couldn't do it since the force's were too different.
