"Come on! Let's go!" Five said looking down at Y/n who he was holding bridal style and thinking if they are going to make it.
"Y/n, don't you dare leave me now, do you hear me? Please, just...stay with me." He whispered to her ear walking inside the academy.
"I don't think that they're breathing." Luther looked at Allison he was holding in his hands too.
"If we don't get them upstairs, they're gonna die." Klaus worriedly looked at Y/n.

"Allison suffered a severe laceration to her larynx while Y/n to her subclavian vein. One of you will need to give blood to both of them." Grace explained looking at the boys.
"I will." Everyone said at the same time.
"I'm doing it." Luther protested.
"I'm afraid, that's not possible, dear boy." Pogo spoke up and all four men looked at him."Your blood is more compatible with mine."
Luther just looked sad and disappointed that he couldn't help Allison at a time like this just because of his father.
"Hey, I got it." Five walked past everyone else and to mom."I will do it."
"Master Five, your body is not developed enough in order so you could give blood to them." Pogo warned and Five just looked down at Y/n again.
"Hey, don't sweat it. I got this, guys." Klaus shoved past everyone and tapped on his hand to show that Mom can poke him."I love needles."
"Master Klaus." Pogo spoke up again and he turned around."Your blood is...how shall I say this? Too polluted."
Then Diego stepped in to the rescue."Move."
"Yeah, go on." Five and Luther said at the same time hoping that the most important women in their lives will live.
"I'll do it." Diego walked up to Grace but when she showed the needle to him, he fainted, whimpering, on the ground.
"Whoa!"
"No!"
"Stick him."

"Will they be ok?" Five asked Grace holding Y/n's hand.
"Yes. But Allison's vocal cords were badly damaged. Y/n will be ok, but she especially needs to avoid any hard physical activity. Her whole blood circulation was disturbed and they both need time to rest." Grace explained. "It's a miracle that, somehow, Allison's carotid artery wasn't severed and Y/n's subclavian artery wasn't damaged."
"Will she be able to talk?" Luther asked.
"It's too early to tell." Grace looked at Five."You should bring her to her room since she is smaller and her body needs a good surface for it to recover."
"Of course." Five replied.
He took Y/n bridal style and brought her to her room. He laid her on her bed and placed her head on the pillow. Even though she was severely hurt, her whole body was sliced, she still looked beautiful and calm.
Five just stood next to her bed before bending down and taking her left hand in his grip."You have no idea how scared I was when I found you lying there dead in the cabin surrounded by your blood. I hate that I let you go and let you get hurt when you're the last person who should suffer. I couldn't let the thought of you dying to be in my mind because I didn't want it to be true. I am happy that you will survive this hell, but I just wanted to let you know, that I...I still love you. I know I don't say this enough but when you see the person you love so much get hurt and you think that you will never hear their voice, never be able to laugh, fight, complain, save the world...you realize that they are the most important human beings in your life. I am going to save the world while you rest...you have been through enough."

He kissed her hand before placing it down next to her. He stood up and closed the door to her room walking downstairs.
When he was completely gone, Y/n opened her eyes slightly and sat up.
"God, what have I done?"

When she walked to the first floor, she saw Klaus and Five together. They were fighting about their addictions and when Five smashed the glass eye against a wall, he started to walk away, but Klaus stood there.
"Klaus?" She asked standing on the stairs.
"Y/n? Hey, you're awake!" He said going up to her and wanting to hug her. But when Five heard Y/n's voice he immediately turned around, teleported next to her, and helped her get down the stairs and not letting Klaus hug her by pushing him away.
"How are you feeling?" He asked concerned taking her hands and helping her reach the last step.
"I'm fine, really, but...where's Allison?" Y/n reached the floor and looked around herself.
"She survived too. She's resting now." Five touched her face with his palms to calm her down. She stopped looking around and stared into his hazel eyes.
She didn't know if he had any thought that Y/n might know that he heard him, but she decided not to bring it up. But, of course, they were interrupted by Klaus.
"I'm just glad you're okay." He walked up to her and touched her shoulders but she winced out of pain with a smile.
Five immediately broke the hug and took Y/n by her hands and brought her to the living room to the bar while Klaus walked away upstairs leaving them alone.
He helped her sit on a chair and then started making a cocktail. But halfway into making it, his actions were interrupted.
"You know who will cheer you up?" He smiled.
"Who?" Y/n crossed her arms on her chest and grinned.
Five walked out of the room and came back about 3 minutes later. Y/n heard Five coming back so she turned around and saw Delores in his hands.
"Aw, my bestie!" She wanted to get off the chair but Five stopped her.
"Ah, ah, ah! You need to rest." He rushed up to her and helped her get comfortable in the chair again. He then put Delores on the counter and continued to make the cocktail.
"Listen, Five, I have something to tell you." Y/n spoke up after a long and excruciating silence. Five was nervous that she will mention his confession but it wasn't that. "Vanya has powers."
"Wait, what?"
"It wasn't Harold who almost killed us. Well, he almost killed Allison, but she was the one who hurt me with her powers." Y/n explained but winced in pain since she talked so much.
"But that doesn't make any sense, why would-"
"Dad asked Allison to rumor her into thinking that she was ordinary. But her powers may have something to do with the end of the world. I think..."Y/n put her chin on her hand while Five continued to make the cocktail on the other side of the bar thinking about what she shared with him.,
"But we found Harold Jenkins dead this morning. And the assignment was to protect him, so, it's done." Five poured in some of the drink into two different glasses and walked from one side of the bar to the other.

"So, you're saying that you think we actually stopped the apocalypse?" Y/n asked with relief and afraidness on her face.
"I don't know." Five took a seat next to her and pushed the glass towards Y/n but gave it to Delores.
"Hey, I thought that was for me." Y/n chuckled looking back at him.
"I think that alcohol is the last thing you need right now." Five chuckled back at her.
They both stared into nowhere thinking what should they do right now. But Y/n broke the silence.
"Well, what now?"
"I'm open to suggestions." Five sighed.
But then they heard the doorbell ring. Y/n was about to turn around and go see who is at the door but Five put his arm out front stopped her from getting up.
"I'll get it. You stay here." He took his drink, slurped it, and went to get the door. Y/n just sighed and turned back around. She crossed her arms on the table and looked at Delores.
"I do not. Get that off your mind already. I do not have any feelings for him. I should feel hatred towards him, anything but love." She looked at Delores and glared at her.
But then Five came back and so did Hazel with him. She turned around at Five and started talking like she didn't say anything that Five found important.
"So, who was at-Hazel? What are you doing here? You're here to kill us?" She looked down at his gun and Five sat next to her.
"Oh, shit. Sorry, old habits." He said as he put the gun away."Well, I can understand why you might feel that way, you know..."
"Well, you attacked our house, tried to kill our family, and kidnapped our brother." Five simply as that said.
"He's got a point there, you know?" Y/n shrugged and pointed at Five.
"Well, there's not much I can do about the past. Don't forget, I'm not the only killer in this room. You two got your own bloody history's, pals."Hazel ranted but Five just slurped his drink while Y/n rolled her eyes and crossed her hands.
"Speaking of which, that job you two did in Calhoun, that shit's legendary." Hazel looked down at the ground because of talking so shy."Can't believe I'm actually sittin' here talkin' to you two, after all-"
"Hazel, why are you here?" Five interrupted him wanting to get to the point.
"Well, I'm, you know-" Hazel couldn't finish his sentence because Diego came and kicked him in the back causing Hazel to grunt and fall on his stomach on the ground.
"Diego, stop!" Five yelled at him.
"Diego, come on!" Y/n rolled her eyes at his ridiculous behavior.
Diego did a flip over Hazel's body and when Hazel was about to get up, Diego kicked him in the face. He started just punching and pummeling him while Hazel was still on his knees.
"You know before you kill him, you might wanna hear what he was to say." Fie sarcastically remarked.
Hazel punched Diego in the stomach causing Diego to fall and giving Hazel time to get up. But Diego quickly got up.
"I'm gonna kill you for what you did to Patch." He huffed under his breath.
Hazel pointed at the pair sitting at the table, but he had to back away to avoid getting stabbed by one of Diego's precious knives.
"Or don't. See how that goes." Five shook his head and Y/n scoffed.
Diego kept trying to stab Hazel but Hazel tried to punch him. Diego caught his hand in the air and stabbed him in his thigh. Hazel screamed in agony and Five inhaled sharply.
"Now that's gotta hurt." Y/n chuckled and pointed at the boys.
Hazel pushed Diego away and took his knife out of his leg. Diego, once again, punched him in the face, stomach, kicked him, then kicked him again by jumping on his hands.
Diego tried to punch again, but Hazel caught both of his hands in the air. He hit Diego in the head with his forehead and picked him up, squeezing him in his hug. Then Diego bit into his ear and that was enough.
"You will take this?" Y/n pointed at them.
"Yup." Five said giving his drink to Y/n and teleporting on a table next to them smashing some glass vase over Diego's head, knocking him out.
Diego dropped without conciseness and Five walked off the table on the couch.
"I draw the line at biting." He walked past Hazel and to Y/n, sitting down and her giving his drink back."Hazel, whatever you came here to say, I suggest you make it quick before he comes around."
"I left my partner, quit the commission, came to volunteer." He said angrily.
"For what?" Y/n asked as Five sipped his drink.
"To help stop the apocalypse." Haze brushed the glasses off his shoulder. But Five and Y/n just chuckled at his response.
"What on earth could be so funny to you two right now?" Hazel pointed at the kids.
"Before we answer that, why do you wanna help us?" Y/n showed with her hand a gesture that said something like "Why tho?".
Hazel took a couple of seconds to respond."Let's just say I have a vested interest in a doughnut shop."
"Well, I hate to break it to you, pal, but you're a day late and a dollar short." Five joked around."The fact that you're here right now means, without a shadow of a doubt, that the apocalypse is over."
"Really? How do you know that?"
"The mark is dead. Found him this morning. You were the last known unknown left in the equation." Five sipped on his drink while Y/n nodded.
Hazel chuckled out of relief and joy."Shit. Really?"
"Mh-hmm. And if you're out, then Hellrider ain't riding." Five and Y/n turned around to sit facing the counter.
"Oh! All right." Hazel came and sat down next to them. Y/n was on the very right, Five was in the middle and Hazel was at the very left.
Hazel took the blender and drank some of that cocktail right from there while Y/n and Five just watched and chuckled.
"So now what?" Hazel asked looking at the paintings.
"You know, to be honest, I don't know. We both don't know." Five said looking to his left at Y/n. They both locked with their gazes staring at one another thinking what the hell they were supposed to do.
"Yeah, we've been chasing this thing for so long, we..." Y/n looked at Hazel and he looked at her."We never really thought about the day after."
"Yeah, how about you?" Five asked hoping to get some recommendations.
"I'm done with all this madness. Time to start over. You should do the same." Hazel replied.
Y/n and Five both looked down at the counter. Hazel was right. Y/n did have some feeling for Five, and so did Five. He proved that when he was talking to her when she was asleep.
Five really wanted to start over with Y/n, he wanted to live his now normal life in the normal world with the woman he loved more than life itself.
But Y/n was the one who had mixed feeling about that. She didn't want to be with Five again because she was afraid that something else bad would happen to her.
"That's easier said than done." Y/n said looking down at the table and Five looked at her with a sad look.
"It doesn't have to be hard." Hazel tried to reason."I mean, think about it like this. If you two never time traveled, you never got caught up with The Handler, what would have happened?"
Well, a lot would have happened.
First, Y/n and Five most likely wouldn't have ended up together and fell in love. They would have never spent their lives knowing that they were meant to be with one another and would have started their own lives.
But on the other hand, they would have never ruined their relationship, they would have never gotten a divorce, they would have never fallen out of love. So a lot would have happened.
But Five turned around and looked at Diego."I guess we would have grown up to be emotionally stunted children like everybody else around here."
"Well, there you go." Hazel chuckled."Now you can grow up. Good luck." He stood up from the bar and was about to walk away but Five stopped him.
"Hazel. One more thing before you go." Five turned around. Y/n also turned around wanting to see what he is going to ask.
"Shoot."
"Which one of you was the trigger man for Detective Patch?"
Ah, yes. He was helping Diego get over his saving-and-honoring-his-friends-memory job get done faster.
"Trigger woman."
Five sighed at that response."Huh. Thats' too bad. That gun could have cleared my brother's name."
"Well, today's your lucky, amigo." Hazel took out his two guns and put them on the counter."Take 'em both. I'm done with this life."
Hazel walked out leaving Five and Y/n alone again. Five turned around and sighed drinking his cocktail. Then Y/n stood up from her chair trying not to fall.
"Where are you going?" Five asked turning around to look at her.
"I...I'm gonna get some rest. If that's ok..."She tried to say something.
"Of course." Five smiled as he drank his drink.
Y/n nodded and walked upstairs to her room closing the door. She leaned against it and slid down on the floor. She didn't know what to feel.
She kind of wanted to say something to Five, but then again, she shouldn't. He doesn't deserve her love and affection.
She silently cried for a little bit for a couple of minutes. But about 10 minutes later she heard a knock on her door.
"Y/n, can we talk?" Five's voice was heard from behind the door.
She stood up, wiped away her tears, and opened the door.
"Yeah, of course. What is it?"
"I love you."

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)
