The young woman was really nervous coming back home if not the most nervous out of all of the siblings. After she released her book on the Hargeeves's family, everyone turned on her, as you all may know.
She arrived at her home in front of the big gates with "The Umbrella Academy" logos that seemed to haunt her in her nightmares. She got out of the car and looked up at the mansion that, after so many years, was still intact. Nothing has really changed since she last saw her home.
She walked through another set of doors and into the main room of the house. It was in the middle of the mansion so you could see all of the staircases and railings, giving a full look. She looked around as her eyes caught the living room's insight where her mother Grace was sitting on the chair in front of the fireplace.

"Hey, mom." Vanya greeted her walking towards the entrance to the living room but stopped in her tracks after hearing no response. "Mom?" She asked her again. But her mom didn't even flinch or move. She kept staring at the fire with her head tilted a little bit, being lost in her own thoughts.
"Vanya?"Allison walked down the staircase to greet her sister with her heels making clanking sounds every step of the way. "You're actually here." She softly chuckled in disbelief.
Vanya turned her head from her mom to sister hoping in her mind that the altercation goes well. "Hey, Allison."
"Hey, sis." Allison walked towards Vanya and stopped at her pace. She looked at her and chuckled softly hugging her after exchanging some smiles. Sure, the two haven't seen each other in years, but Allison still had manners. But she was wearing heels so she bent down a little bit to be at Vanya's height. Unfortunately, they pulled out of the hug because they were interrupted by their brother.
"Ah. What is she doing here?" Diego asked walking out of the living room and past the sisters with nothing else. "You don't belong here. Not after what you did." He referred to Vanya's book. He probably hated her the most out of everyone, it always had been this way.
"You're seriously gonna do this today?" Allison put her hands in her pockets and turned to Diego who was walking up the staircase that she went down to greet Vanya. "Way to dress for the occasion, by the way." She tilted her head and looked at him. Diego was wearing black spandex with knives all around his stomach and chest ready to be thrown at anyone at any time.
"At least I'm wearing black." He disappeared from sight and went completely upstairs leaving Vanya and Allison alone again. Allison turned to Vanya too after silently rolling her eyes in her mind at Diego.
"You know what? I- Maybe he's right." Vanya shook her head and looked up at Allison from the ground. "And I shouldn't-"
"Forget about him." Allison interrupted her. "I'm glad you're here." They both looked at each other. Of course, Allison disliked the fact that Vanya wrote that book but she still loved her. Vanya smiled slightly as Allison looked around the huge house not knowing how will they stay under the same roof once again. Even if it would be just for a little while.

𝐋𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐃'𝐒 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌 searching and trying to find something that would help find the true story behind Dad's death. Number one was always loyal to Mr. Hargreeves and made a promise that he will be even after his death. He was looking around the room until Diego came and stood behind the wall. He realized that Luther was already there and came to the room, not being surprised that his brother was already there.
"I can save you some time." He leaned on the doorframe catching Luther's attention. "They're all locked." Diego was referring to Luther checking all of the windows. "No forced entry, no sign of struggle." He came inside the room as Luther walked away from the windows and towards him as well.
"Nothing out of the ordinary." Diego came even closer to Luther and noticed that he was very big, much bigger than the last time saw him. "Oh, you got big, Luther." They both stopped and stared at one another with cold stares as always. "What's the secret, huh? Protein shakes? Low carbs?"
"What do you want?" Luther changed the subject pretty quickly and sternly asked his brother.
Diego rolled his eyes and pulled out from the pocket a document that had the information of their dad's death. "The autopsy report." He extended his hand and signaled to Luther to take the paper. Luther was about to take the paper until Diego decided to mess with him.
"Ah." He pulled the paper back into the air but when Luther didn't try to take it, gave it back to him seeing that he wasn't going to play with him. Luther took the paper and opened it as Diego turned around and went to sit down in a chair.
"And you have this why?" Luther asked opening the paper.
"Well, that's because I...broke into the coroner's office." Diego said sitting down. "And surprise, surprise, Dad's death was...normal." He shook his head and put his hands in the air. "Just a boring, old heart failure." He finished as Luther opened the paper and saw a picture of their dead father and all of the wanted information about his death.
"Yeah, so?" Luther asked looking over the paper.
"So, why are you in here, checking all of the windows?" Diego looked around the room and back at Luther.
Luther took a second to think "Were you the first one on the scene?" He looked back at Diego from the paper.
"Pogo found him."
"Yeah, I talked to Pogo. He said he couldn't find Dad's monocle." Luther looked around the room to avoid eye contact with Diego and see if he could figure out a place where the monocle might be.
"And your point being?" Diego nodded.
"Well, can you think of a single time you saw dad and he wasn't wearing that monocle? No. Which means someone took it. Which means there's a chance he wasn't alone when he died." Luther showed around the room with his hands. But that was enough for Diego to stop acting calm.
"There is no mystery here. Nothing to avenge." He stood up from the chair and started walking towards Luther. "Nothing to solve, nothing like that." He stopped as he came up to Luther. "It's just a sad old man who kicked it in a big, empty house." He looked at Reginald's bed and back at Luther. "Just like he deserved."
"You should leave." Luther nodded being clearly disgruntled with Diego's talk.
"Whatever you say, brother." Diego turned away from Luther and walked out of the room while Luther sighed looking back at the old man's deathbed.

This is a story set in a world with a rich history of the magic power known as the Wave, and all native species are capable of interacting with the Wave to obtain power in a variety of ways. Think of this as a combination of Dr Stone and Black Clover! I am writing this story using similar structures to anime seasons, and the chapters in itself are structured more like manga chapters. The first two seasons are already planned out, and it is likely going to be daily upload (12 noon EST) of chapters from ~ 2 k words in length during the 'season' when there is backlog of chapters, with a week or two of a break in between seasons if no backlog. If you liked this story, please drop a rating and review. If you hated it, please drop a review and help me get better. Don't just spam a 0.5 rating and leave like a coward lol.
