《Willow's Choice》Thirty-Three

I gasped as I woke up. I reached out on instinct. I needed to find Valor. It was dark, the cool night air whipping around me as I blinked my eyes into focus.

I panicked when I didn't feel him next to me.

I sat up quickly, looking around and I hissed in pain as I struggled to keep myself upright, my knees weak as I gripped onto the nearest tree to support myself.

His scent was faint, nearly gone as I inhaled deeply. I needed to find him.

I knew they took him. I saw a trail of dried blood on the leaves, and it disappeared after a few feet.

I tried to shift, my wolf whimpering in protest as she retreated to the back of my mind and I knew why.

I placed my hand on my stomach lightly, knowing it would soon grow once again.

I could see the house from here, tiny and far away, but still there and I knew slowly but surely I'd get there. I could feel myself weak from the heat I had gone through. I needed to feed. To get some sort of sustenance in me.

I was yards away when Pierre came running out, my parents behind him as he reached me. He wrapped my bare body in a sheet before he lifted me into his arms and was moving with me quickly. I didn't feel right still. My whole body hurt, especially my stomach.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Both of us were injected with human blood. Valor got it out of me, and then he was hit with it. We...it was different than before. He was more aggressive and I went into heat." I said as he placed me on the sofa sighing out.

"You mated?" My mother asked quickly and I nodded and I watched as she disappeared upstairs quickly.

"They took him." I said, my voice cracking at the thought of my mate being hurt at the hands of a man as foul as Stefan.

I felt myself growing tired and Solomon sat next to me and raised his wrist to my lips, I tried to refuse but my fangs hand other plans and soon enough I was quenching my thirst and felt myself becoming more alert.

"Do you think you conceived?" Giselle asked.

I nodded.

"I tried to shift and I already couldn't." I said.

It was quiet as Pierre began to move quickly as did my brothers, Cassius, and Solomon and my father.

"I'm going to go see if I can catch his scent." Solomon said.

"He was bleeding, I think." I said quietly as I felt guilty.

"You had to hit him?" Giselle asked me, her slightly concerned expression causing me to feel even worse and Pierre stopped at the door as he looked at me.

I nodded.

"His bloodlust must've driven him wild. If it's not out of his system, he'll be completely unpredictable, but if it is..." She trailed.

"He'll be incredibly weak." I said. I knew how it worked. He'd die if he didn't feed soon enough. And if they were hurting him, it would be even worse.

"That's not the worst part. If they continue to give him only human blood he may never be the Valor we you once knew." Pierre said before he kissed Giselle chastely and headed out.

I felt a lump in my throat form at the thought of my mate never being the same again.

Giselle made to move toward me, but I shook my head, I didn't want consolation, that would mean I had accepted it and I watched as she exited the room.

I would always fight for him. Especially when he couldn't fight for himself.

My sweet kind man would be gone. I felt nauseous and turned over on my bed, leaning over a trash bin as my stomach began to lurch, but nothing came up and I still continued to dry heave as my stomach cramped and felt as if my organs were being squeezed.

I gasped as I sat back against the hospital bed and I saw my stomach was visibly growing before my eyes and moments later it stopped and I struggled to catch my uneven breaths.

I screamed when the pain began to happen again and I could feel it. My pup inside of me as it grew at this shocking pace.

Giselle ran in, her face contorted into one of disbelief before she quickly made her way to my bed side and my mother ran in as well as Raven who held a wailing Ava.

"What the hell is happening to my daughter?!" My mother yelled at Giselle.

I gripped the sheets as pain blossomed like a vengeful flower in my abdomen and I felt my rib crack and I growled as I writhed on the bed, holding on for dear life and soon as it began it once again stopped.

I struggled to breathe and I could feel myself wet as Giselle moved above me.

My vision was dotting with black and I tried to take a breath, but a sharp stabbing pain had me cringing with pain and my chest tightening even more.

"She's not getting enough oxygen!" My mom yelled as she touched my face.

"They're coming and her rib his fractured." Giselle hissed at my mother, ordering her to go get some towels and the emergency kit.

Who was coming? My mom shouldn't be running off if people were coming.

I looked up as my mother ran back in quickly and she tossed Giselle a towel which she placed under be quickly and she parted my legs.

"I need to get the babies out. I need your help Raven." Giselle hissed.

Babies?

I took in a breath as Giselle placed an oxygen mask over my face and I watched as Raven handed Ava to my mother.

I winced when a wave of pain hit me and I knew it was a contraction and I had the urge to push.

"You need to push Willow."

I growled as my wolf took over, her deciding it was time to have reign over her pups and it was time to birth."
