《Willow's Choice》Four

My mom stared at Valor as I packed my bag.
"Mom. He's not going to hurt me. Besides, even if he tried to, you know I could take him." I said.
"You listen to me. If I find out you're hurting my daughter, or using her to fulfill some sick sexual fantasy of yours. I'll kill you myself." My mother growled.
"Mrs. Lupin. You have my word I will not harm Willow in any way, she is my mate and I will protect her with my life." Valor said.
I stared at him because I could tell what he was saying was true.
I was surprised when my mother gave him a hug and I walked into the room, my suitcase rolling behind me.
Valor flashed me a reassuring smile, the whole gesture catching me off guard, his smile lit up his face, it was warm and inviting and he took my suitcase from me, grabbing my keys as he headed out the door to give my mother and I some privacy.
"He's very handsome." My mother said, trying to make the situation light.
"I noticed, but that's not why I did it." I said giving her a small smile.
"I know. Come visit us soon. " She said.
"I will. Tell Dad I love him." I said as I hugged her.
She nodded, kissing my cheek before ushering me out the door.
I saw Valor in the drivers seat and he waved goodbye to my mother as I got in the passenger side.
I didn't even know I had fallen asleep until I woke up and I couldn't recognize where we were, mountains surrounding us on all sides.
My stomach growled, and Valor grinned, holding up a brown paper bag.
I looked down, noticing I was dressed heavier than I was previously, my pajamas gone.

"You changed me?" I asked.
"It's colder up here. I hope you aren't upset. He answered.
"I have a naturally higher temperature since I can shift, but thank you. I'm not mad. You were just trying to be thoughtful, and besides. We did have sex last nigh, it's nothing you haven't seen." I said quietly.
"That was not sex. I-I don't even know what that was. I feel horrible." He said.
"Don't. I did this. I told you it isn't your fault. You were just trying to help me and I was being a bitch." I said.
He stood quiet as we turned into a dirt road, trees lining either side of it as we climbed up the mountain.
We pulled into a driveway and I was stunned at the gorgeous house in front of me.
"You live here?" I asked in disbelief.
Valor laughed, opening his door and he turned to a blur and suddenly he was at my door, holding it open for me.
I was shocked at the rate of speed he'd moved.
"Pierre never moves that fast." I said.
"Because I am not a show off." Pierre's voice chimed.
I grinned at the sight of him and Giselle.
"Well, we're going to go hunt. Make yourself at home." Giselle told me as she pulled Pierre behind her.
I closed my eyes, breathing in the fresh scent of pine.
"I take it you like your surroundings." I heard in Valor's deep voice.
I opened my eyes, nodding as he beckoned me inside.
I let my eyes wander over the beautiful interior of the house, marveling at the high ceilings.
I turned as an unfamiliar scent hit my nose and I watched two figures come in from what I assumed was the patio.

"Pierre told us you took a mate. He didn't say she was a dog." The woman said, her fangs glinting as she hissed at me.
I let my canines elongate, not backing down as I growled at the tall woman.
She smirked at my bravery, her eyebrow arching as she grinned.
"I'm Raven." She said, running her hands through her pin straight black hair.
"Willow." I said.
"I've never seen a female shift." Raven said.
"I'm not a circus monkey. I do not perform, I only shift when I have to." I said.
Raven went to move towards me, a growl like sound coming from Valor as he placed himself in front of me.
"Cassius, Raven, leave us." Valor spoke.
Without another word she turned, exiting the house, the man giving me a reassuring smile before he went with her.
I felt like running. I needed to feel the earth beneath my feet. Something that was constant and never wavered, something completely opposite of my current life.
I took my boots off, followed by my socks and then my pants, Valor watching me in confusion.
I took my shirt off quickly, tossing it in my pile of clothes.
I covered my chest after taking my bra off and I walked outside in my boy shorts , Valor following me, failing to hide his curiosity to watch me turn.
I walked past Raven and Cassius' stunned stares, picking up speed quietly until I leapt over the patio railings, lading the few yards down into the snow.
"If you want to see that bad, you're going to have to keep up." I warned with a smirk to Raven, sending her a wink before I bolted into the trees.
I could hear all three of them behind me as I began to gain speed. I had to admit they were fast, but both my parents were Alpha's. I was faster.
I closed my eyes, letting my senses guide me as I ran, feeling the familiar sweet heat of the shift roll over my body and suddenly I was on all fours, my paws pounding into the snow as I weaved in and out of the trees.
I could smell Valor, his scent reminded me of the earth, it was clean yet masculine.
I turned, seeing him in my peripheral as we ran.
I could smell freshwater and I could hear it too. I slowed as we came to a waterfall, steam coming from the surface of the water told me it was warm.
I shifted human, not caring that I was naked anymore, grinning at Valor who read my expression.
I ran forward, letting out a battle cry before jumping into the water, letting the hot water soothe my muscles as I stood under for a little while before coming up for air.
I looked at the edge of the water where Raven, Cassius and Valor looked at me as if I were crazy, grins on their faces.
"I thought you were badass vampires, not chickens!" I yelled with a grin. That was all all the coaxing they needed before they joined me in the water.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.
