A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Call it a Mission
Palantine and Co. is an unusual company that does its work in an unusual field. But it's attractive enough to out of work Gary Bellamy, and offers decent pay and a good benefits package. But there are a few things a little strange about the local office. The CEO is perpetually out of town, apparently in search of ‘Enlightenment’. His co-workers are involved in research and investigations involve the likes of Bigfoot, ghosts, walk-ins and other supernatural phenomena, for who its not quite clear. It all seems a bit dodgy to Gary but again, good benefits package. Ephram Palantine is having problems of his own. His search for Enlightenment hasn’t been going all that well, has lead down some rather bizarre rabbit holes. It's about to get a lot worse. The employees of Palantine and Co. are themselves hoping their new hire is exactly what they need. Otherworldly phenomena is on the rise. A seven year old girl has gone missing in northern Michigan, and they are sure it involves something that happened to Gary when he was a boy, thirty years ago, not to mention that there have been sightings of same identical dead man on a Lake Erie beach now for several decades. Some might call what Gary and his co-workers are about to get involved in to protect humanity from a world whose borders with other realities are fraying at the edges, incredible and perhaps even insane. Some might call it a mission.

In This New Life, My Own Fantasy Adventure Begins!
A little shut-in girl that for unknown reasons and means got transported into a fantasy world. Barely surviving her first arrival to this new world, she continued to live her life as she intended, only to experience the hardships and cruelty of the world firsthand. With a little effort and friendship along the way… she found more reasons to do more than just live her life. The more she stayed, the more she learned how problematic the world actually was. And to think that's bad enough, adding to that was the existence of a great evil that threatened the land and all its standing Kingdoms. Given the chance to fix those problems by her own hand, she took it. Her motivations for affirming this heavy task was unclear, even to herself. But one thing's for certain– she's gonna be doing a lot until she gets anywhere… do what she normally doesn't, become somebody she normally couldn't, setting off on an important journey with her newfound self worth. A journey for no absolute constructive reason. She might not be aware of it immediately… but that is her Fantasy. ------------------------- Just a few more things to note before you get started. Extra tag: Anime Yes, this is an anime-styled fiction, and it isn't meant to represent real life scenarios in grave detail. If you're familiar with anime and manga, the following mannerisms and tropes wouldn't feel too foreign. But if you feel that that isn't your cup of tea or you can't appreciate it, you can drop the read anytime you'd like.

Dead Reckoning
[A Sci-fi Fantasy story with Space Pirates, Necromancers, Zombies, and anti-hero lead.] Karla Elwis has to pay the bills somehow. Fuel isn't free. The problem is when you're a necromancer not too many of the living want to hang out. She's on a trek across the stars looking for her brother and that isn't cheap either. The Valraiths are in the habit of pressganging anyone they run across to man their ships, and that's just what happened to him. It was either work in the reactor room or take a plasma blast to the head. Karla doesn't know where the space pirates went, but she doesn't need to interrogate them. Once they're dead, they'll tell her everything she needs to know. Now she just has to follow the trail of broken ships and looted bodies floating through space. The only problem is the one thing people like less than pirates are necromancers
