Jared's Pov

Tobias got through! and she knows the plan at the ball that was to be held we were finally going to get her! it had been a long time since I seen her last and I could finally have my baby back! All of the warriors were ready the ball was in three days and that was just enough time to make this work, I was afraid of what she would say to me when she saw me but if she doesn't except me then I guess I will have to fight for her back or at least fight to be in her life...just as long as she was happy...I can pretend to be, but I will not see her with another man I would rather die than see that happen, My wolf growled at the thought of my beautiful woman with another man I calmed him by telling him about all the things would do with my mate when we got her back.

I went to check in with my father, walking through the hallway I ran into my sister she had tears running down her cheeks.

" what's wrong" I questioned

"...are we really going to go save her?..: she asked in a weak voice

" yes, and I promise when I get her I won't ever hurt her again," I said looking down she smiled and hugged me.

" good I want you to be happy and I want her to realize that love is real and that she shouldn't be afraid of it anymore," she said smiling

Lilac's Pov

I heard the plan and I was nervous, if this didn't work we would be in a lot of trouble worse...they could destroy the pack.

"Lil..darling it's time for your fitting" Erica called me over to the center of my room I walked over to my new friend and she laced me up into a beautiful black gown

" thank you.." I whispered she realized there was something wrong but didn't say a thing knowing that someone could be listening instead she gave me a sympathetic look, she grabbed my hands and smiled.

" You look, beautiful sweetheart," she said with tears in her eyes I wondered what was wrong but stayed quiet not wanting her to get hurt if someone heard.

3 days later, the night of the ball

Jared's Pov

we waited for the signal to enter the fortress, My wolf was itching to come out but I held back I had one job and I couldn't fuck it up not like I had done in the past.

"Jared, there's the signal," Tobias said in a whisper looking up I see the lantern in the window taking the back way my group walked up the steps our job was to get Tobia's mate they didn't want my wolf to go stir crazy when I saw her so we had to distract me.

We entered the room, I was hit with my baby's scent this was her room, I saw a woman come out of the closet and run to Tobias and hug him tight they kissed and I knew she was human.

" where is she.." I whispered

" she'll be getting on stage soon.." the woman spoke softly

Lilac's Pov

I sat in a stage heavily guarded and watched my hands shook with nervousness when I was called on I remembered to stay harsh in the face and not show emotion, when I stepped on stage I reserved multiple stares and the head elder walked over to my taking my hand in his and spoke to me.

" Hello my darling," He said I look at his name tag " Marcus"

"Hello Marcus," I said bowing slightly

" Everyone I would like you to meat LIlac isn't she just ravishing" the crowd cheered and I smiled politely he asked my multiple questions which I answered with easy it was all going smoothly until the alarm was set off

"take her to her room" Marcus shouted to the guards I was then led to my room I know that alarm. Wolf

The door was locked behind me I heard the guards talking one left to check on his room while the other stayed, pacing back and forth I heard something coming from the hallway then the door was ripped off its hinges and I was slung over Jared's shoulder with anger in his eyes I whispered in his ear.

"thank you..." and I felt him relax under me slightly a lot of vamps and wolfs were fighting, mostly vamps were killed we lost 2 wolfs unmated but we knew it was going to affect their future mates, I ended up falling asleep.

I woke up in Jared's bed next to him with his arms around my waist, I looked down and realized I was in one of his shirts I didn't even care I closed my eyes enjoying the moment.
