Jared's pov

It had been 3 years since i had last seen my mate and each day i prayed to the moon goddess that she would return , i wanted to hold her and protect her, but i couldn't and i was and idiot for listening to my idiot of a beta , she was everything i hoped to adore and i would fight for her, Hailey had kept telling me she wanted to be luna for my pack and i was about to give in i mean the pack comes first, but my wolf kept telling me wait just a little longer , he missed our mate even though she wasn't the most beautiful in the world for some reason my sister was very happy today maybe she had been thinking about finding her mate soon that world " mate" brought sadness to my heart, i wish i could make her come back would she?

" Jared...we have a guest here would you please come and introduce yourself" my mom said breaking me out of thoughts

"sure i'll be down in a minute" i said putting a shirt on seeming how i was only in basketball shorts i put on a tight black shirt , then walked down the stairs and past the kitchen, i went out and stood next to my parents and seen a black car pull up , with a girl in the backseat,I watched as the drive opened the door to let out a gorgeous girl in a white dress fanning herself lightly, she nodded her thanks and my father gently kissed her hand, and my sister engulfed her in a hug, I just watched her and she avoided eye contact with me, but i took in everything her long golden brown hair, her brown,gold flaked eyes how her dress fit her perfectly, how confident she was in the way she walked i also noticed she wasn't marked and that she was about 5'2 me being 6'4 i towered over her , i felt the need to protect her and hold her she approached me bowed and said in the cutest little voice.

"Thank you for allowing me in you're pack" she bowed with respect but something about her i felt like i know her

"its no problem may i ask you're name" i asked

"my name and how I would like to be addressed would be Miss Mckenzie if you don't mind" she said not even bothering to look me in the eyes.

" of course as you wish well...Miss Mckenzie welcome to the pack" i said holding my hand out she placed her hand in mine and i gently kissed the top of it I felt tingles erupt throw my hand I looked up at her and our eyes made contact

"Lilac....is that you" i said in a soft voice
