《Lux Storm ||The Goonies|| [EDITING]》Chapter 11

Once I was in the other room, I barely had enough time to think before I was being pushed down a long tunnel of rushing water as I screamed. Cob webs and tree roots hung from the ceiling, I just prayed there were no living things lurking around.
This reminded me of a water slide, just not fun in anyway. I started off behind Steph, but eventually we split ways and I couldn't see any of my friends. I started to spin around in circles, not able to control myself. I'm pretty sure my screaming got louder. Also pretty sure a tree root smacked me in the face. Eventually I stopped spinning, but now I was laying on my back going down backwards.
There was a large whole in the cave on my left where I swear I could see Data go by screaming.
Oh, I wish I knew where this was going.
I tried to reposition myself feet first, but all I could do was roll onto my stomach. My green eyes widened in horror when I saw an opening in the tunnel. An opening without a ground.
Am I going to drop off a cliff?!
"Oh shit. Oh shit." I tried to grab onto the tree roots but I was going too fast. "Oh shit." It was getting closer.
Then the tunnel around me vanished and I was plummeting into water face first. "Jesus!"
Water went up my nose and I tried desperately to get it out when I popped out of the water. "I'm alive." I said in disbelief. "I'm alive!" I started to jump up and down repeating myself. By then, everyone was cheering. I grabbed Data, the closest person to me, and crushed him into a hug.
When I let go I heard, "Where's Lux?" I turned around to find Mouth. "Marry!" He beamed

"Ah, Clarke, there you are with your magnificent hair. Come here!" I yanked him into a hug.
I didn't want to let go, and I almost didn't, but when I opened my eyes to look beyond us, I instantly stopped everything I was doing. My jaw literaly fell open. "Uh."
"What?" Mouth asked, looking at me.
I could only manage to point. "Uh...."
We were in a large cave with a water fall and a huge old pirate ship that seemed to glow. It was beautiful.
I'm seeing things. This isn't real. I thought. I just hit my head, that's all.
Mouth turned around and our reaction were about the same, "Oh, my God."
I looked to my friends to see them in wonder just like me.
Maybe I'm not dreaming....but that means....we found the treasure! Haha!!!!
We broke out into cheers, splashing water and grabbing each other.
I started swimming to it. "Come on, you guys!" I laughed.
We climbed up the rope ladders on the side, Mouth giving me a hand at the top. "Gotta be faster than that M'lady." He joked.
I smiled. "Shut up."
The wood was old and, for the most part, wet. I couldn't believe it had spent all this time here in this ridiculously huge cave. I almost fell a couple times when my foot hit the floor. I took a look around.
It was beautiful; the sails hung, ripped but elegant off the posts. Every detail of the ship looked as if it had been carved with such talent and care. Cobwebs hung everywhere, showing it's old age.
I walked up to the ship's wheel (there was a weird looking skeleton with its eyes popped out, laying on the floor, but I didn't pay any mind to that) and imagined myself steering the boat, nothing but open seas and a world of destinies. The ocean's calming waves, the smell, and the sprinkles in my face. I fell in love with the idea in that moment.

"Best captain in history, in my opinion." I opened my eyes to see Mouth standing before me smiling.
I beamed at him. "This is amazing! I can't believe it, Mouth! There's so much history here. Imagine all the places this thing has been, all the lives and stories it holds." I paused. "It's almost tragic really."
"Nothing can be too bad when you're here."
I was confused as to what he meant, I was about to ask if he was asuming everything was perfect in my life, and if he was, I'd smack him a good one. Unfortunately, Data's scream echoed through the air.
Everyone took off after his screams. It appeared he had fallen throught the wood into a room underneath. I kneeled to look in, "Data are you all right?" Everyone crowded around me.
"Data's okay! But Data's flat tired of-of falling an-and Data's tired of skeletons!"
"Why didn't you just use the stairs?" Brand asked as he walked into the room underneath. I almost laughed.
"Use the stairs!" Data said sarcastically. "Stairs! Stairs!" He sat down in defeat. "The stupid guys up there tell me to use the stairs while Data's falling! Data's hurt nobody cares anymore!" His tone got softer. "Then some guy tells me I have stupid inventions and I've been spending months and months studying on them and inventing them. God!"
I looked down on Data from the hole I was still leaning over. "Data." He looked up. "You're inventions are amazing. They're far from stupid." The childlike smile Data gave me was enough treasure to me if this whole trip turned out to be for nothing. I returned the smile.
"Lux." I looked up to Mouth, waiting for me at the steps, the only one still up here with me. I jumped up and ran with him to join the others.
"How many ships did you say there were?" Brand asked.
"Billions." Mikey told him.
Brand pondered, "Billions." Then he registered. "Billions!" Everyone began to go down a couple more stairs into another room. "Guys, watch where you step, all right? Don't slip, all right? Don't sli--ahhh."
He slipped.
Mikey huddled Mouth and I together, "Translate."
Mouth looked down, "Ahhh! Translate nothing. It's just an old sketch of the cannonball chamber. Where's the gold?!"
"Where's the gold, Mikey?!" Steph added. "I'm getting tired of these games!" That's when everyone started shouting at him.
"Shut up!" I tried to calm everyone. "Shut up!" I pulled Mouth back, "Stop!" He stoped while Brand got everyone else to. Mouth just stared at me, wide eyed.
"Uh-Oh." Andy interrupted us all.
Brand asked, "What?"
"I think I set off another trap." Sure enough a hatch broke open above us, sending junk and dust tumbling down around us. "Oh, Gosh! I'm sorry. Are you okay? Are you guys okay?" She ran up to me and took my face in her hands to inspect....as I was still coughing.
What was above the door we didn't know because there was a piece of wood with writing on it. We lifted Mikey up and he broke threw it, then we pushed him up.
When he was inside Brand asked, "What's up there?"
"It's alright Brandon, give me a secound."
