《Future Dynasty》Lecture Two

"You are so dead"
Slowly my eyes started to open at the sound of my sisters voice. She was peering down at me with the biggest grin I had ever seen as she held her phone in her hand. The flash of the camera went off directly in my eyes.
She did that on badness, the flash wasn't even needed.
"Give me that." I demanded reaching out for her. My voice was harsh and dry and I was pretty sure my head was spitting in two. Groaning I lied back down again and I realised for the first time I wasn't even in my own room.
I was lying on the floor in the games room and after squinting through the sunlight I seen my brother sleeping on the pool table.
Bottles of beer were surrounding us and the thoughts of last nights party came rushing back to me.
Just the thought of the amount of alcohol I consumed was enough to make me lean over to the plant that was beside me and throw up.
"Ew." Emilia watched as I threw up my guts with a disgusted look on her face. Her blonde hair was thrown up in a ponytail and her electric blue eyes were bright against in her flawless skin. "You know the maids aren't going to clean that."
"I wasn't expecting them too." Lying back down again I threw my arm over my eyes and groaned. "Be a good little sister and go and get me water."
"How about ummm no." Emilia then looked down at her phone and laughed at something.
"What are you laughing at." I asked when her giggling continued. Normally my sisters laugh was actually the cutest thing you would ever hear but right now it was setting me over the edge.
"Do you even remember what day it is?" She was typing away on her phone I could hear it even though I wasn't looking at her.
"Monday?" Even to me it seemed more like a question than an answer.
"So I have a question."
Groaning out I rolled over trying to get more comfortable on the floor. I knew I wasn't going to succeed but I wasn't for moving for anything.
I was preparing to die here and frankly that would be a blessing right now.
"What is Emilia? Can't you see I want to die in peace."
"If you and Levi are still basically drunk, actually never mind that, I think Levi is dead." She looked over at the pool table where Levi hadn't moved one inch from Emilia had came in here. Frankly I wasn't even sure if he was still breathing it was just silence. "How are we getting to school in fifteen minutes?"
"Shit!"
The world around me turned into mayhem.
Standing up far to quickly the world spun around me but it was the least of my problems right now. Then a wave of nausea came over me and I slapped my hand over my mouth as I made a dive for the plant pot again.
My body was burning up and my eyes were blurred, I couldn't make sense of the world around me. What I did know was that I needed to get my ass in gear to get to school.
When our parents were away there was very few rules they actually made us follow. Going to school was one of them though.

My mom was a successful business woman and if we wanted to inherited any of it then we needed to prove that we could handle it. She wasn't going to just hand it over to us just because we were her kids, no our parents made us work for it.
I agreed with them on that one. Watching some of the ones I grew up with they didn't seem to have the first clue about the world around them. All the see is their parents money and knowing they would give them everything.
Of course I was spoilt but I wasn't stupid to what goes on around me.
In the background I could hear Emilia laughing her ass off with her phone pointed in my direction but I didn't care. Levi was in my line of sight and I needed to get his ass up.
Crawling along the floor on my hands and knees I made my way towards the pool table where my brother slept. Once I got there I pulled myself up to my feet and glared down at my slightly younger brother.
He was past out and drooling.
Gross.
Even though I just threw up in the plant pot.
Grabbing him by his top I started to shake him awake and I wasn't gentle in the slightest. His head hit off the pool table a few times and he groaned out a complaint as he slapped my hands away.
"Fuck off." Levi shoved me away rolling himself back up into a ball. My eyes narrowed at him as I gained my footing.
"Get up." I all but growled out like some wild animal. As I grabbed him by his top again I looked over my shoulder to see that Emilia had her phone still pointed in our direction. "Emilia if I see this video on Instagram or Snapchat or tictok or anywhere for that fucking matter I will hunt you down and kill you."
Levi slapped my hands once more and that was all that was needed to set me over the edge. Using both hands I grabbed his top and yanked him off the pool table.
There was a loud thump as he landed on the floor in what was not the most graceful way.
"What the fuck Layla!" Shouted Levi as he rubbed the back of his neck but he didn't make a move to actually get off the floor.
"Get up." Grabbing my brother by the arms I dragged him across the floor and heading towards the door. I needed him to get into his room and get a shower and we were running out of time.
Suddenly Emilia's sweetest voice caught my attention.
"Hey mom." At the sound of the word mom mine and Levi stopped screaming at each other. Letting go off Levi's arm the rest of his body came crashing to the ground.
Levi finally made a move and started to crawl over to Emilia. While I started chasing her around the room.
Emilia was cunning. She was the golden child to our parents but me and Levi knew the truth. She would either tell them what's happened and we'd be dead or she would cover for us and act like she was doing us a favour. That means we'd literally be her little bitches for as long as she seen fit.
"No we haven't left yet mom." The way she looked at us with a evil glint in her eye as I chased her around the pool table was all that I needed to know.

She was so going to rat on us.
Levi went to grab for her ankles as he was still crawling along the floor and I made a dive for her over the pool table.
We all ended up on a heap on the floor as we tried to reach for the phone.
"Give me the phone!" Reaching out I tried to snatch it out of my sisters grasp but she elbowed me in the stomach. Between the pain and the alcohol I couldn't stop what was going to happen next.
I threw up again in the plant pot.
Levi and Emilia were still screaming at each other over the phone and the three of us probably looked like a right sight.
Looking down at my phone I seen that we only had seven minutes to get to school. The school was only a 3 minute drive away which left me four minutes to get showered, changed and some how find it in me not to throw up every where.
Yea, we weren't making it.
"You were right River." At the sound of the voice we all froze this time.
Moving my head away from the plant pot I looked up to see what was probably my greatest savour and my greatest nightmare.
There stood two of the four Knight brothers. Both of them looking at us all with amusement.
Ezra was the oldest of the two. He was in the year above us and was the type of person who knew how to use his charm to get what he wanted. There wasn't one person that I've came across that didn't fall for his deep but soft spoken voice. His extremely dark brown eyes held a bit of mischief in them as he glanced between my brother, sister and me.
The real nightmare came from the sight of the other brother.
River.
Unlike Ezra who was looking at us all River's deep emerald green eyes were watching me curiously. There was a glint of humour in them as he took me in leaned over the plant pot. Lifting his hand he ran it through his dark hair with his tattoos almost looking like they were dancing across his skin with every movement. Unlike Ezra who knew how to use his charm River didn't need to know. Just by looking into his deeply coloured eyes many people would've lost the fight with him before it even started.
He was the devil looking like an angel. That's what made him the most deadly type of guy and the worst of the Knight brothers.
"River." Screamed my sister as she jumped to her feet basically kicking our brother in the shoulder to get away from him.
River's eyes finally snapped away from me to look at my younger sister who was basically looking up at him with hearts in her eyes. Her actions made me roll my own eyes.
She's had the biggest crush on him for as long as I could remember.
"Hey shorty." He greeted her in a deep and strong voice but then turned back to look at me with a raised eyebrow. "Don't you just look hot this morning."
Standing up I brushed off my clothes trying to keep intact the last of my dignity. It was long gone in the eyes of River, he has seen me in the worst states but it was worth a shot.
"I always look hot, you're just blind sometimes."
"Maybe." He said trailing off as he looked at my brother from over his shoulder. Levi was still crawling along the ground heading out of the room.
"I think I'm going to die." Was his whispered chant as he made his way to get a shower.
Then it clicked.
Mom.
My eyes snapped to Emilia and she must have seen the murderous look on my face because she started to back away. The cheeky grin on her face told me a story.
"Mom wasn't on the phone was she." Taking a warning step towards her she giggled once again before bolting out the door.
River let out a deep and throaty laugh as he watched my sister scamper away.
"Your sister did call me though." His gaze snapped back to me and I started to peel the hoody off as I walked through the door and out of the room. River followed my footsteps his gaze never leaving me.
"Of course she did. She thinks you're a Knight in shinning armour." Making my way up the stairs all I could smell was the sick all over me. It was enough to make me want to throw up all over again. Stopping on the steps I turned to face him as he waited at the bottom. "We both know what you really are though."
"What's that?" He asked knowing where I was going with his. It was something I had forever called him.
"A sin."
Throwing my arm up as a wave goodbye I started to make the rest of the way up the stairs not waiting around for his reply.
Seeing as I was already late I took my sweet time getting showered and changed. Mom was probably already aware that I wasn't there yet due to the headmaster being such a kiss ass to her.
Once I was ready I walked out of my front door expecting to see Ezra still there with the car but I was surprised to see River and his motorbike.
"Where's the others?" I asked putting my school bag on my back and catching the helmet he threw my way.
"They left a while ago." River put on his own helmet and started the bike. With a roar it came to life and I couldn't help but grin at the sight of one of the babies I helped make. "Come on, get on. You're going to be even more late."
He pushed down his visor as I swung my leg over the bike and settled behind him. Normally I would've taken one of my own cars or bikes but seeing as I was probably still drunk that wasn't the best idea.
Apparently River agreed seeing as he waited.
Keeping my grip lose on his waist he started to take off. Just when I was about to zone out he slammed on the breaks making my crash into his back and grip his waist even tighter.
A deep laughter was heard and I could feel it in the vibration of his chest. I slapped him with my hand but went back to holding him just as tight knowing that's what he was aiming for.
Sometimes when you were playing a game you had to let them think there were winning.
