one year later...

"this is where you take me for our anniversary, huh?" yoongi asked, his voice full of amusement. which was fit for the occasion, for jihye had taken him to her favorite amusement park.

"it's also a congratulations-present!" jihye said as she linked his arm in hers. he tilted his head to the side, "what for?"

"for buying yourself a new house, stupid." jihye laughed, "i'm really proud of you,"

"are you gonna move in with me?" yoongi asked her as they stepped into the vibrant park. a rollercoaster whizzed by, along with its screaming passengers causing yoongi to jump slightly. he placed a hand over his chest, "i-i thought it was going to hit us..." he muttered. jihye chuckled and squeezed his hand. "let's go ride some roller coasters!"

together they ran through the park, hand-in-hand like newlyweds hitting each ride on jihye's bucket list. no matter how much yoongi expressed his fear of roller coasters, jihye gently pushed him along, only for him to later enjoy the ride.

"ooh! let's go on this one!" jihye pointed at the tall coaster that had a sign which read 'death drop'. "this looks amazing!"

"are you a heathen?" yoongi gaped, "it's a 300 feet drop!" he pointed at the warning on the side of the sign. jihye squeezed his hand. "you'll be fine! it'll be fun, you liked all the other ones, didn't you, love?"

yoongi sighed loudly and allowed himself to be dragged along, "only for you, ji."

after waiting in line for nearly an hour, yoongi and jihye were finally able to board to coaster.

and the familiar hiss of tracks sounded.

"jihye... i'm scared..." yoongi whimpered. jihye grabbed his hand and squeezed.

before they knew it, the coaster began its ascent to the top of the park. yoongi started yelling before the coaster even reached the climax. "yoongi! calm down! it's going to be fun!" jihye screamed back as she looked down. the park looked smaller and smaller.

finally, they reached the top of the coaster, and there was a brief moment of peace before the coaster began speeding back down to the ground. yoongi screamed at the top of his lungs, nearly shattering jihye's eardrums. "yo-o-o-o-ongi!!" jihye screamed, her voice cut up by the bumpy tracks. "are you oka-a-a-ay?"

"i'm doing great, babe!" a terrified voice screamed back as the rollercoaster sent the passengers up into a loop. jihye squeezed yoongi's hand as she felt the familiar drop in her stomach. she squealed in delight, and yoongi's screams became laughter. she smiled to herself as she coaster made another loop, he's enjoying himself.

finally, the roller coaster sped to a stop and the passengers all loosed a collective sigh of relief. the seats unbuckled and yoongi leapt off the coaster with jihye close behind. she grabbed his hand, which was damp with sweat, "you okay?"

his eyes were wide. "that was... amazing."

together, the couple made their way around the park, often riding some coasters more than once. to jihye's surprise, yoongi was somewhat of a thrillseeker. finally, they stopped at an ice cream stand to gather themselves. "what time should we leave the park?" yoongi asked, watching the setting sun.

"well," jihye pondered, "i think- ouch!"

she jerked her left hand up and to her dismay, a bee had left its stinger right on her palm. "yoongi! that bitch just stung me!" she looked down at her hand. yoongi gently took her hand and examined the sting, "we need to get the stinger out," he said, almost to himself. yoongi bit his lip, "i'm going to use my fingernails, okay?" he said meeting her gaze. jihye nodded. yoongi reached down and thankfully, plucked the stinger out of it's spot within seconds. jihye released a sigh of relief that she didn't know she was holding.

yoongi took her other hand, "now let's go wash it with some cold water,"

jihye nodded again, still not sure how yoongi acted so quickly with the sting. they reached a nearby water fountain and pumped some of the cool liquid onto jihye's irritated skin. the water soothed jihye's hand and eventually brought relief to the sting. "thanks, yoo-"

yoongi wasn't done. he was scanning the area for-

"first aid!" yoongi said triumphantly as he motioned for his girlfriend to follow. together, they reached the small building and requested an ice pack for the sting. "yoongi-ah," jihye said with a grin, "how did you act so quickly? are you a bee sting expert or something?"

"actually," yoongi said, rubbing the back of his neck, "back in daegu, my little sister would play in the backyard a lot where a bee colony lived..."

jihye's mouth formed into an 'o' shape and she nodded. "you were her personal doctor, huh?"

yoongi nodded and smiled at the thought of his sister, "i want you to meet her," he said, "she's heard all about you."

jihye beamed at the thought of having a sister-figure, "i'd love to."

unknowingly, the two had walked up to the park's large ferris wheel. the couple looked at each other and smiled.

the sun had almost completely set, sending beautiful hues of deep blue and purple into the sky. the ferris wheel had brought yoongi and jihye up to the very top. jihye pointed up at the moon, "look yoongi, it's almost as pale as you."

yoongi scoffed at his girlfriend, "sit down, you're gonna fall out." she giggled, but obeyed and snuggled close to him. they sat there together at the top, enjoying the comfortable, sleepy silence. an unusual serenity fell over the two- maybe it was the night sky and her stars bringing peace to the couple. jihye closed her eyes and held out her hand for yoongi to take, which he did wholeheartedly.

"yoongi-ah," she whispered. he hummed in response.

"where is our future headed?" she asked softly, opening her eyes to see that the sky became darker, and the moon brighter.

"i don't know," he answered honestly, resting his head on her shoulder. "but one thing is for sure," he opened his eyes and met her gaze.

his dark orbs were brimming with love and vulnerability, "i-i want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said softly before closing his eyes again.

jihye found herself laughing softly, "i do too," her eyes slowly began to close again, until she saw a bright speck in the corner of her eye. "yoongi!" she sat up and pointed into the dark night. "a star!"

his eyes opened and he beamed at her excitement. "cute..." he murmured and sat up with her. "make a wish."

jihye closed her eyes tightly and pressed her hands together. dear star, please let me, yoongi, and yejin live a happy life together. she opened her eyes to see yoongi looking at her expectantly. she slapped his shoulder. "i'm not gonna tell you!"

he laughed and put his hands up in defense, "okay, okay." he leaned back against the seat as the ferris wheel began its slow descent back to the ground. "let's go home soon, yeah?" jihye asked. yoongi nodded, "i miss our daughter."

"wait, what?"

yoongi smiled slyly at her, "what?" he asked, a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"our daughter?" jihye asked, her eyes round.

"i didn't say that..." yoongi said, grinning from ear to ear, "i'm sleepy."

"yoongi!"

"what?" he asked, the same expression on his face.

jihye scoffed, but turned and smiled euphorically to herself. our daughter, huh?
