《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》Happily Ever After

You lightly rinsed your arm and paws in the cold water of your sink. It's one week later, and your wounds were nearly healed now. Nick was almost better too, but the bites he sustained may take another week to fully recover.
You dried off with a hand towel and wandered back into your living room.
Nick was sitting on your couch, his head back and his sunglasses drawn as the TV played quietly in the background. Poor boy was out late last night finishing the deal with Dust. He was tired.
You softly moved across the room and took a seat on the couch next to him and surfed through some channels. You came to pause on the news when the headline about missing mammals caught your eye.
The reporter was discussing how Assistant Mayor Bellweather was found in connection to the rams who shot several animals, including Officer Hopps, with a concentrated Night Howler serum. The ZPD also seized the lab in which the serum was manufactured; an abandoned subway car. Mayor Lionheart came forward shortly after, describing his efforts to contain the mammals who went savage until a cure was devised. An investigation is still in progress; however, there have been successful results from a round of treatments to the afflicted mammals who have been released to hospital care.
You let out a sigh of relief. There was no mention of your and Nick's involvement, but that was okay. The Chief of Police, Bogo, talked the situation over with Nick. His information on the case was very useful and Bogo didn't ask any other questions... so that's good!
Turning off the TV, you leaned over and rested your head in Nick's lap. He shifted a little, waking up from his dose. He looked down at you and then laid his head back, lifting his paw up to gently pet you. You smiled.

Everything seemed sorted out now. The cops turned a blind eye, Mr. Big left you both alone, no more animals would be going crazy, and Nick and you both made decent amounts of cash weekly.
There was just one more thing; Nick said he had a date for you tomorrow. Your birthday was marred by his kidnapping and therefore the official date he had planned never happened. Sure all of the adventures were fun, but they were still primarily money-oriented. This wouldn't be the case tomorrow... maybe you two would go to...
...your thoughts trailed off as you slipped into a nap...

John Thomson is a regular college student, the kind of average person you cross on the street every day. Or at least that’s what most people assume, because he’s far from what’s considered “normal”. After all, a normal person isn’t regularly dragged into life-threatening tribulations involving fantastic creatures, otherworldly beings and people with logic-defying superpowers. Not to mention that he seems to have a knack for sticking his nose into the nefarious plans of secret societies and ancient cults. But John’s life wasn’t always such a mess: Everything began when he accidentally invented a way to rewind time… Weekly Schedule: At least a ~3.5k words chapter every Wednesday and Sunday.
