《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》Missing Mammals

The next morning, somewhere else...
"We have yet ANOTHER missing mammal case. A leopard, Rainforest District." A large bison spoke in front of a room of police officers. He slammed a folder down on his podium in frustration, "That's the fourth this month!"
A small gray bunny, Judy Hopps, sat attentively as he continued to discuss their priorities. He had given her parking duty yesterday and she was determined to prove herself by accomplishing something big today, regardless of his attitude.
Her ears flicked forward as she noticed the folder he had thrown on the podium. After he gave out today's assignments, (hers was parking duty again), he left it sitting there.
'I bet that folder has all the information I need!' Judy thought to herself.
Once everyone else had left the room for their duties, Judy crept back into the briefing room. She jumped easily onto the stool behind the podium and then onto the podium itself. She grabbed the folder, which was admittedly much too big for her, and waddled out of the room.
As nonchalantly as possible, she brought it to the room with a computer to access their data system. She pulled up all the information she could find under the name: Stephanie Stalkinew.
Judy scanned down the list of her information. She worked as a waitress aboard the... M.S. Scarvian... A riverboat that operated in the Rainforest District...
She searched online for the boat and found the website of the Rainforest District River Cruises. It had their whole cruise schedule online! The missing mammal report was filed, along with several general disturbances that required further investigation, yesterday night at 11:47 PM. The disturbances all happened at the harbor that the river cruise ended at.
Judy continued to search through the area for any more reports. She looked up and found traffic camera reports for the area in which it happened. She fast-forwarded to 11:30 PM.

Nothing seemed wrong though. It was just a normal rainy night. Stephanie was indeed there, she had just gotten off the cruise after some other animals. But Judy tensed as she watched the leopard fall to all fours. The leopard hissed and clawed at anyone in the vicinity, then, she raced out of view.
Judy frantically switched to another camera and sped to reach 11:30 PM again. This camera was pointed toward a fox placing packages into the back of an orange van. What was he up to? The fox then jogged and hopped into the passenger seat. A few moments later, the leopard was running up to and clawing at the passenger window. The van took off and the leopard pursued it, out of view.
Hopps switched back and forth across a few other cameras but couldn't get a better view of what happened next.
However, she did see the van enter a tunnel. So she continued to search traffic cams for the next half hour until she found the same van in the Nocturnal District! And then finally she found it again when it exited into TundraTown.
Sighing, Judy leaned on her arm as she continued to track the van through the snowy town. It was difficult because of the fog and snow. But thankfully after much camera switching, Judy saw the van reach its destination: An apartment complex not far from Downtown.
She sat back up, "I think I have some witnesses to visit," Judy said under her breath with a look of determination.

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

The Blue Star Guild seeks the truth to these stories and refuse to let anyone dissuade them, for in the words of their master: "The most foolish of tales, make for the greatest of adventures" Image supplied by Shutterstock

8 202Legacy: A wolf's tale
Follow Akascha as she goes from a beast of burden to a lovely (well more like a slightly belligerent) young woman! Note. This is a shory story (about 25.000 words) I wrote a while back in high school. Therefore, the range and depth of the story might be a bit lacking, but I wanted to share it with you anyway now that I discovered RR. Although I would love comments or constructive criticisme (as one can always learn), be aware that I have - at this point in time - no plans of rewriting this story. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Oh and before I forget! The first chapter is rather short, but the rest of the chapters will make up for it.
