As Nick disappeared behind the door, you realized you should get ready to shower as well.

You feel the exhaustion flow through your limbs as you grab some clothes to change into after showering. You let out a sigh as you hop onto the couch with your bundle next to you. Whew; what a night. You grabbed the remote and flicked on the TV for some ambiance.

...What a night?; more like what an emotional roller-coaster. You need a break before any more action takes place. Just a relaxing evening would be amazing. But where would Nick even be sleeping tonight?

Probably on the couch, heh.

As the TV hummed in the background your mind continued to sort through events of today. Were you in legitimate danger? It felt so surreal. Would there be consequences? As you continued to wonder about what would happen in the future... you were unaware of the the shower turning off and the bathroom door opening.

"I wonder how long I can stand here before you'll notice..."

You jump at the sudden voice and turn to see Nick leaning on the doorway with a towel propped around him. His fur is damp and ruffled and his lean figure is silhouetted by the ambient bathroom lights behind him. Faint lights from your TV dance along your shocked expression as your eyes met his.

Forcing yourself to react properly, (and trying not to get flustered in the fact he had the audacity to stand there in only his towel), you grab your clothes, get up from the couch, and march past him.

"I swear! Like I said earlier; you are unbelievable." You ignore his snicker as you pick up the clothes he left in the bathroom and shove them into him."

"Put. your. clothes. ON. I have to shower. Bye."

With a shut of the door, you can perfectly imagine the look the fox has as he wanders away to find a place to change.

The nerve of that fox, I tell you. You shake your head and start organizing your stuff for showering.

Turning the shower on, you feel your heart racing as the realization hits you; was he actually in just his towel? Or was it just a joke and he wearing stuff underneath? Upon stepping in warm water strikes your flattened ears and hot face. Where does he get all of this confidence? He seems to always strike the perfect balance between scandal and charm.

Washing the adventure of the evening out of your fur, you find yourself stuck with that image of him in your head. That stupid handsome fox! How did you not notice him right away?

You also remember the nice scent he had when you walked past him. The natural kind. Not covered in cologne or anything--just Nick Wilde.

Focus! You told him not to take forever and you shouldn't either.

As your rinse the last shampoo and conditioner out of your fur, you step out and begin to dry yourself off. Your fur ruffles in all directions as you drag the towel up and down yourself. You feel nice and soft, though!

Looking up into the mirror you realize that if you weren't fluffy earlier you definitely are now. But you didn't want to keep him waiting--and it's not like you were going anywhere anyways, right?

You put your comfy clothes on and tentatively reach to open up the door to your living space...
