《Between Two Worlds (Aizawa x Reader)》Chapter Sixty: See You Soon

Finals week had ended at UA and Aizawa seemed busier than usual preparing for the training camp. On top of that, he was back on patrol, making sure the city was cleaned up of as many criminals as possible before he left. While he was gone today, I was being heavily guarded by police and neighboring pros in the area, who briefly knew about the situation at hand. I knew the increased security was also due to the mall incident with his students, but the added stress of being alone only made things worse. As a precautionary measure, I was told to keep an extremely low profile within the apartment.
:
Do not open any curtains or
windows, or turn on any lights
tonight. Don't answer the door
under any circumstances.
Should something happen,
call me immediately.
I'll be home soon.
In other words: Pretend like no one else was here.
Yeah, I wasn't freaked out at all by receiving that text. Thanks, Aizawa.
Meanwhile, I hadn't seen him for most of the day, which left me feeling lonelier and more uneasy. I knew when he would eventually come home, it would be beyond welcoming and a huge relief. And tonight I was more than ready for him to come home, given that it was going to be our last night together, at least for a little while.
I laid in his bed, snuggled up with Cloud, who was curled into a ball and purring next to me.
I checked my phone with tired eyes and saw it was about 4:36am. I struggled to stay asleep, waking up every couple of hours. With it just being me and my thoughts in his apartment, I couldn't help but churn over various concerns and worries I had about everything going on. When I would sleep, I would hear the beeps from the heart monitor in my world for a moment or two before quickly waking back up into this world. I couldn't help but be stressed, thinking the inconsistency would screw up my chances to stay alive. My mind couldn't help but also wonder what was happening to my body in my world. Was I wasting away? How long have I been in a coma in my world? Does time work the same way there as it does here?
Not to mention, Aizawa had no idea what was to come. He was fully prepared to be gone for an entire week or more, but I knew he would only be gone for a few days. I struggled to figure out whether I should say something or not. I knew I couldn't change the events, and risk the timeline. But at the same time, he should technically have a right to know of a potential kidnapping that was in the works. I felt like I was part of the League by not divulging their plans. Everything that was about to happen was going to be irreversible, and only I could possibly change the outcome if I decided to.
But I knew I didn't have that right.
Suddenly, I heard the front door quietly open and close from the bedroom. The sound woke up Cloud, who perked up, hopped off the bed, scooted the door open, and headed out to the hallway.

I heard him give a very enthusiastic meow before I heard that tired voice I loved so much.
"Morning to you, too, fuzzball." Aizawa said quietly.
I heard his heavy footsteps get closer and closer to the bedroom, until he finally opened the door.
"Welcome back." I greeted, my voice groggy as I sat up in his bed the second I saw him.
I saw him jump a little. From the dim light, I could see his face was a mixture of what I could only describe as frustrated and surprised.
"Why on earth are you still awake?" he asked as he shut the door slightly and walked towards me, "You should be sleeping."
"I had a lot on my mind." I said as I watched him take off his clothes, "Besides, I sleep better when you're here."
He chuckled as he tossed off the remaining attire.
"Is that an invitation to wear you out?" he said as he crawled near me, those devilish eyes locking onto mine.
I let out an amused hum as his lips gently and lovingly pressed into mine. I felt his hand softly stroke from my hair and to my jaw line as we parted. God, I couldn't think of a better way to be greeted and reunited than this.
"Wasn't exactly what I was trying to imply, but I wouldn't complain." I said, looking down as my fingers traced from his neck down to his chest.
His hand held onto mine, while the other gently lifted my chin up to look at him.
"You said you had something on your mind. Wanna fill me in?" he asked.
'More than anything.' I thought to myself, as I frowned.
"I would but..." I stopped. I didn't know what to say. I felt so many things, but I didn't know which one to start explaining, or which had priority. No wonder I couldn't sleep.
"Is this because I'll be leaving tomorrow?" he asked, waiting patiently for me to respond, "You have nothing to worry about."
My heart sank as he said that, knowing he was wrong. Very wrong. I had everything to worry about, even though I knew the outcome would eventually work out. What was going to happen would change everything. I wanted to delay it altogether, but I knew it would be wrong.
"I wish you didn't have to go." I said, "I feel stupid and pitiful saying that but-" Before I could continue, I felt his lips kiss my forehead, interrupting my train of thought momentarily.
"I'm leaving you in the hands of one of the most powerful heroes I know. And should All Might fail to keep you safe, he'll have to answer to me." he said, his fingers caressing my cheek, "And as for me, I'm more than capable of handling myself."
"I'm well aware of your capabilities. And I know your students will be in good hands." I said, trying not to give him any indication that something terrible was going to occur in three days time. It killed me to keep this a secret but it needed to be done, "I'm just sad this is our last night for awhile."

Before I could react, Aizawa tugged at my leg, causing me to lose my balance and topple on my back as he scooted in between my legs.
"Then let's make the most of it." he said, his voice lower and more gruff before planting tender kisses from my waist before descending further south.
"B-but...you've been patrolling all night. How do you still have the energy for this?" I breathlessly stuttered, as my body quivered from his touch.
"Sex can be one hell of a motivator, especially after a long, long day." he said, his facial hair tickling my inner thighs as he placed one more kiss on my leg, "As I said," his wicked eyes looking into mine as he smiled, "I'm more than capable of handling myself."
***
I quickly gathered all of my things as All Might waited outside for us with a chauffeur. I would've been better prepared and quicker about this, had Aizawa not worn me the fuck out the night before, making me oversleep. My legs were still sore and trembling slightly from earlier this morning...
Aizawa watched from a distance, somewhat amusingly, as I tried to fix myself up.
"You proud of yourself?" I asked him when I caught a glimpse of his smirk.
"A little bit." he said, "But in all seriousness, we should hurry. Last thing I need is to be late meeting up with my students."
I straightened out my clothes as I stood in front of Aizawa.
"Ready." I said, prompting him to nod and turn towards the door. Then I remembered, "Wait!" I said, causing him to stop and turn back, "I almost forgot."
Without hesitation, I dropped my things next to me, wrapped my arms around Aizawa and kissed him. I felt him jump slightly at the abruptness of it all, but then felt his embrace as he kissed me back passionately. If we weren't going to see each other for awhile, I wanted to at least kiss him goodbye.
And hopefully...it's not a goodbye for good when he learns I didn't warn him about the kidnapping of Bakugo.
Our lips parted, but his forehead rested on mine, his hands still holding onto me not wanting to let go.
"I love you." I said quietly, feeling a lump in my throat.
"I love you, too." he whispered back to me. After a brief pause, he stood up straight and tilted my chin up to, "It's only a week. It'll go by fast."
My heart sank hearing those words.
'Yeah,' I thought, 'It will.'
I nodded and picked my things back up from the ground as we headed towards the door.
"Who'll be watching over Cloud while we're gone?" I asked as he opened the door for me.
"Hizashi and Nemuri will be taking turns to make sure he's fed and cared for." he answered as he shut the door behind us.
"Are they still trying to butt in?" I asked, slightly annoyed as we put our shoes on.
"Possibly." he said as we began to make our way towards the entrance door, "They've been relatively quiet since the fiasco at Kyoto Kitcho, but when they volunteered to help, I figured they were trying to dig up dirt in my own home."
"And you still agreed to let them cat sit?" I asked quietly in shock, "Why?"
"Because I have nothing to hide." he said as he opened the door for me, "At least nothing in my own apartment. I'd rather guarantee that my cat will be taken care of, even if it meant leading my nosey friends on a wild goose chase, than having nothing at all."
I saw All Might leaning against in the car as we approached him. A sunken in smile formed on his boney face as he noticed us.
"Good morning, you two!" I greeted us.
"Morning." responded Aizawa, nodding to him as we stopped near the car.
"And nice to meet you more formally, Miss Doe." said All Might, who bowed slightly with a smile still on his face.
I bowed awkwardly in response, nervous about meeting him after all this time.
"You as well." I said, sheepishly, "I'm sorry about how our first encounter went." I looked down in shame, "I wasn't even sure if you were even real back then."
"Don't worry about it, kid." he said with a chuckle as he offered to take my things and put them in the trunk, "Water under the bridge at this point. In handling such an ordeal, I can hardly blame you."
"I should get going." I heard Aizawa say, causing me to look at him, "See to it that she's comfortable. I'll be back to pick her up next week when the training is done."
"Of course!" said All Might with a chuckle, "I don't think I'd fair well with you if I didn't."
Aizawa looked at me. Though his face seemed indifferent, his eyes were relaxed.
"See you soon, Miss Doe." he said gently to me before All Might guided me to the backseat of the car. I looked out the window as he shut the door, not taking my eyes off of Aizawa as we began to take off.
Shota...
Please don't hate me when you get back.

Author's Note: Hello, everyone! Long time, no see! I'm sorry for my brief hiatus. I decided to give myself a bit of break since I've basically been writing since March. We also just took in a stray cat, so I wanted to give our new furr baby all the love and attention he needed while he was getting acclimated. Now that I'm back, chapters will be coming out a bit more consistently. Sorry to keep you waiting, but I appreciate your patience none the less!

[Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)
