In the crowd I am

Surrounded by all this love

I couldn't be more grateful

For all that I receive

But what is this feeling

I can't explain

The emptiness I feel

Scaring me if I'm going back

To a place I escaped from

Amidst the buzzing

All I see is the void

Devouring my soul

So gently and slowly

That nobody hears me

Crying for help

But feeling numb

Makes me feel powerful

To not feel at all

Can be a blessing

And also a curse

Am I becoming something

I've never wanted to become

What others labeled me to be

Which I never was

And would never want to be
