《White Fur || Chat Blanc》Chapter 10

"W-what?" Marinette tried to respond. She was absolutely frightened.
"I said. Who. Is. Luka." They said in a much more demanding tone.
"He's... H-he's a f-" she cut herself off. She didn't know what Luka was anymore. At least, what she wanted him to be.
In truth, she was too scared to look up and see who this person was. She couldn't even move. Their body was pressed up against her's. She assumed that by the extra pressure that was above her chest, they were mostly using their arm to pin her. Or was is a metal rod? She had so many questions, despite her fear. Was it an akuma? Why are they here? And what does Luka have to do with anything?
There was a moment of silence after she had spoken. She wondered if it was because they were waiting for a full response? She couldn't tell. However, she took this moment to gather just enough courage to say something else.
"... who are you?"
They stepped away from her, and let her go. Marinette instantly fell onto her knees. She didn't realize that they were holding up her full weight.
She only took a moment before she quickly looked up to them.
Just in that moment, there was loud thunder and a flash of lighting again. It filled up the whole room. This time, however, it didn't blind her. In fact, it helped her better see what she was looking at.
They opened their mouth to answer but she couldn't hear over the thunder. She didn't need to. She already knew.
"C-chat?" She quietly said as she fell back from where she was into a sitting position.
He crouched down to get to her level. He couldn't help but flash a devilish smile, showing off his fangs.

"Are you happy to see me princess~?"
Marinette could not believe her eyes. It was the Chat Noir she knew but also not? He's whole look was completely different. Everything in his original outfit that was black, had turn white. His emerald cat eyes turned into a soft baby blue. It was like she was looking out into the ocean on a cloudy day. He even had his famous baton in one hand.
Marinette then said unfiltered, "What happened to you?? Why do you look like that"
"Isn't that a rude thing to ask? I expected better from you" he teased.
"What?" she was confused. She didn't understand what was going on.
He raised his hand to have his palm face him. He looked down as he flexed his fingers, showing off his sharp claws. All with a smirk on his face.
"Things have changed. I'm stronger now" he answered.
"What do you mean? Chat Noir, I don't understand-"
He quickly looked up and cut her off, " I'm not Chat Noir anymore" he then stood up.
He slowly walked to her right, heading his way behind her. She wouldn't dare to turn her head to follow, no matter how curious. Her fear had taken over her again.
The next thing she know, she heard him whisper in her ear "Call me Chat Blanc". She flinched in response.
She could feel his warm breath on her neck. She started to internally freak out. He was too close to her.
Chat Blanc snickered, "What's the matter? Do I scare you princess~?"
Unexpectedly, he traced his fingers down her back, following her spine. The feeling gave her chills. When she shuddered, the touch of his fingers had left her back.
Marinette then saw him glide his way around to in front of her of her again, he crouched as well when he stopped. He then grabbed her chin and made her look up at him. Her hearbeat started beating out of her chest.

"I'm not going to say you shouldn't be. It might even be for the best if you do fear me"
Chat Blanc then moved his hand and slowly caressed down her neck. Before he reached her collar bone, he went up her neck again except part of the way, he pointed a single claw onto her skin. He applied more pressure, as if daring to hurt her.
Marinette couldn't help but swallow randomly. She felt hot. Her mind was spinning. So much had happened in such a short amount of time. So much had happened to her, there was too much sensation.
But in a split moment, she couldn't help but think of Chat. Her Chat. He was so different now, yet he felt the same to her.
"I'm not scared. I know you won't hur-hurt me" she said but it wasn't very confident.
"Oh? And how can you be so sure?"
His hand opened and wrapped itself around her neck while he leaned his face closer to hers. She could now feel her heartbeat in her neck and face. It felt like her body was trying to suffocate her instead.
It took her a moment to try and gain some sense to say what she wanted next "I- you've saved me many times, Chat B-Blanc"
He let go of her and moved back. She felt a brief sense of relief as the feeling she felt in her face faded away. She lightly touched her own neck, trying to understand what just happened to her.
"Hmph, you caught me" he gave a seemingly innocent grin and raised both his hands in the air. He was clearly just playing with her.
Chat's grin turned back into a smirk when he saw the confusion and bewilderment on her face.
Why is he doing this? What is going on? Marinette still had no idea what was really happening even after all this.
Then it hit her.
"You were akumatized weren't you?"

Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.
