《White Fur || Chat Blanc》Chapter 8

Marinette found her self sitting next to Luka after he cooked some breakfast for them. It was something simple like frozen eggos and he had cut up some fruit as a side dish. She wasn't complaining, she didn't think of herself as picky when it comes to food. She wasn't snobby either just because she grew up in a bakery.
After their meal was over, Luka took her dishes and went to clean them. Marinette, on the other hand, hesitated to leave her spot. She knew that if she got up, it would be time to go back home. She had to leave though. She didn't want to be more of a burden. She didn't even plan to stay the night here with Luka.
After she said those last words in her head, she blushed, realizing the meaning behind them.
The next thing she knew, Luka sat right next to her again, snapping her back from her daze. He just gave her a warm smile and said, "Shouldn't you be heading home soon? I'm not sure what your parents will think knowing that you spent the night in a boys room".
"Oh, my parents aren't home. It's just me." Marinette said a little uncertain about her statement.
She really wasn't alone. She had tikki. Then, there was the thing that visits her.
"Would you like me to walk you home then?" He offered.
Marinette stood up happily and almost shouted "Yes!". She then realized how out of place her answer was and blushed. She just felt happy to be going home with another person.
Luckily, being the kind soul that he is, Luka just gave a soft chuckle. "Nobody's ever been so excited to have me over. Let me do a few things and we'll go".
He left her at the table to herself and she waited patiently. When he came back, they left like he said they would. She tried to not worry about what could be waiting for her back at home. Even though it wasn't her intention, Luka ended up noticing her distress.

As she was looking around her familiar city and the people passing by, she felt his hand grab hers tenderly. "Don't worry Marinette, I won't let anything happen to you." He said to her in the most comforting voice.
Marinette suddenly felt extremely hot in her face. She could only imagine exactly how red it must look. She smiled shyly and looked away from him. Yet, she let him continue to hold her hand.
Strangely, she did end up felling more safe with him.
Once they finally reached her house, the dread slowly crept back. She let go of his hand and looked at him. "Thank you Luka, for walking me home I mean" she said to him.
Of course, he smiled back at her with that cute smile " It was my pleasure" and then he grabbed her hands again. She could feel the slight calluses on his fingers from what she assumed was from him playing his guitar.
"I had a great time with you Marinette, I always do"
He was so close to her. She could make out every detail of his face and realize just how truly handsome he was.
Then he's face started to get even closer to her. Was he about to kiss her?! She freaked out internally and moved her head to the side distinctively.
This didn't stop him, he changed his target from her lips to her left check. He pulled back and chuckled a little bit. He too was a little embarrassed and was blushing slightly.
She lightly touched her cheek afterwards, thinking about how soft his lips were. How would it feel to really kiss him. She knew she would blush more from this thought but she doubted that she could get any more red from this situation.
He looked right at her again. It made her feel like she was glass. Not entirely see through, but beautiful. Something to marvel at. "I should go, bye Marinette" he said and left.

She couldn't speak, she only waved to him as a response. Once he turned the corner and was out of sight, she dart back into the bakery. She ran all the way up to her room and pushed her pillows into her face.
Marinette's mind was running wild and her face was still hot. All she could think about was Luka. She even wondered if he was thinking about her. She felt a bit embarrassed about how she reacted and wish she would've done things a little different. She still couldn't believe that all of that had just happened. It was all like a dream.
She turned around and rest her head on the pillows, still laying down on her bed. She felt all warm and fuzzy inside and she smiled.
She was glad all of that had happened. And with Luka.

The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.
