《White Fur || Chat Blanc》Chapter 6

Marinette woke up the next day with no strange feeling. There was no horror that had entered her house while she slept. Nothing had watched her. She didn't understand why she could feel anything in the first place, perhaps it was because she's ladybug. Yet it was so very strange but the best she's felt in a long time. She felt almost alive again.
She could almost be herself.
Marinette had felt a new sense of determination. This was all just a small glimmer of hope but she decided that to take advantage of it. Take a break from the stress. To go out and be free.
"Tikki, we're leaving" Marinette said.
As always, her Kwami flew up to her from almost no where and said, "Where are we going Marinette?"
"I haven't decided yet but I want to have some fun and just get away" Marinette explained.
Marinette roamed the streets of Paris with her little friend within her pink little purse. She didn't know what to do. A part of her was still nervous. Afraid that something might jump out from the shadows and grab her. For all she knew her stalker was following her. And she's just a walking target.
Marinette's thoughts were interrupted when she accidentally ran into the back of someone. She fell backwards onto her butt.
That person turned around and she looked up to find that it was Luka.
"Oh Marinette I'm sorry!" He said as he reached out his hand to help her.
She took his hand and he swung her up back to her feet but she became very close to his body. For a good moment, Marinette couldn't help but look into his kind blue eyes.
She became flustered and quickly pushed herself away. "L-Luka! No I'm not sorry. No! I mean I'm sorry, you don't have to be sorry"

Luka just gave a small chuckle, "You're very funny, Marinette"
She looked down, away from him "what are you doing here?"
He smirked at her when she finally made eye contact with him, "I could ask you the same thing. Haha I'm just messing with you, I was running some errands but I'm heading back home now"
"Oh that's nice" Marinette said kind of quietly.
"Mmm would you like to come? Back with me, I mean" he asked.
Marinette took a minute to think it over. Was it safe to go with him? What if something happens? But she remembered when he got akumatized trying to defend her honor. Although being akumatized is serious, at least she knows she's safe with him.
"Alright!" She said enthusiastically.
They walked back to the boat he calls home. She still thinks it's just as cool as when she first found out and went on board.
"My family isn't here at the moment" he warned her.
"Oh okay that's fine although I haven't seen juleka since school ended for summer, it would've been nice to see her" she responded back.
"Well you can just back to see her any time. But I'm a little hurt that I'm not you wouldn't come to see me?" He said like he was actually hurt.
And once again, Marinette got flustered, "of course I would never! No no I mean I would never visit you! No no I mean I would never visit without you here! I mean not that I want you to be here" she always just dug herself into a hole.
Luka just smiled at her, " haha it's alright Marinette I was just teasing you. Oh course you can come over anytime if you'd like"
"Thanks" she said.
What is wrong with him? He keeps teasing her, normally he's a bit more gentle. She just wasn't used to him and all this forwardness.

They both went inside the ship. He led her to his room. Once they entered, he went straight to his electric guitar and sat down on his bed. He then gestured her to sit down at a nearby chair. So she obliged.
When she settled in, he asked, "Any special requests?"
Marinette thought about it for a second and then just shook her head, "just play one of your songs for me"
Luka gave a more gentle smile when he heard that and grabbed his guitar pick. He began to play a song that Marinette was not familiar with, perhaps a new one that he wrote. It was good. She thought to herself that he was so talented and amazing.
"You should teach me one day" she said as she watched him.
"Of course. Whenever you would like" he continued that cute little smile at her.
She smiled back and could tell she was a little red. She decided to close her eyes. She just listened intently to the sounds that were made from his instrument. She became so relaxed and then zoned out.

He can steal the silver teeth from your mouth in the blink of a smile. He pits the factions of the city against each other, lining his own pockets in the process and using the Prince as a scapegoat. This is made easy as nobody knows when or where the Prince will strike, or even why.As plots collide, Jawad finds himself pressured from all sides. Aristocrats, cutthroats, and the Prince himself is breathing down his neck. Unless Jawad wants a knife in his back or an appointment with the executioner, he must answer three questions: Who is the Prince of Cats, what is his true purpose, and how can he be stopped? The Prince of Cats is set in the same world as my other fiction, The Eagle's Flight, but the two stories are not connected. The full story has been uploaded. My Newest, and at the same time, Oldest novel. This is a Rewrite of my very first novel that I begun when I was just starting out. It follows the story of Mark Floyd, a broken man who once tried to do what he thought was right... only to be stabbed in the back and thrown away. Now, pulled into a conflict that spans time and space, Mark has a choice to make; Stand up once more, even if it means facing an unknowable future, or let the Embers of his heart die and sink back into darkness. ----------------------------------- “For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity”. Once part of a Special Ops team in the US Army, Mark Floyd thought he had seen the worst that Humanity had to offer. That was until his final mission, one that would leave him a broken and shattered man, betrayed by the Country he served, and abandoned by society as a whole. His dreams filled with nightmares of the ones he failed to protect, mind and memories clouded by booze and more, Mark finds himself stumbling through life without purpose or desire. Life isn't done with Mark yet, however. For as long as even a single ember remains in a persons heart, here is still yet hope for the flames of Passion and Hope to be Rekindled. When the dying embers of Mark's heart catches the eyes of a Being far beyond his understanding, Mark finds himself thrown into a situation not even his years of training could prepare him for. Will this new chance be Mark's hope at both Redemption and Recompense? Or will it simply be the final nail in the coffin for a man already dead to the World? [This is a rework of my very first story. The general story will remain the same, however a few details have been tweaked, the chapters have be Edited better and some chapters have been broken down into smaller chunks for better flow and consistency. The biggest change will be to the System itself; It will be a lot less "Game-like", meaning no stats, levels or similar aspect, though skills will still be present in the form of "Programs". Instead, It'll focus more on the Sigil's nature as super-computers and how they change the world around them. This should make for a much more "natural" and less info-dumpy system.
