"what the fuck do you want?" xiao groaned opening the door his hair messed up his eyes barely staying open and he was slightly red. he wore lose clothes and the ac was on full blast.
he didn't realize it was you and his eyes widen when he realized as you stood there with a questioning smile with a plastic bag in your hand full of medicine.
he sighed, "did venti tell you?" he leaned his arm on the doorframe not stepping aside preventing you from coming in. he didn't want to get you sick as well but he was glad to see you.
"yeah he told me why didn't you tell me instead of leaving me on delivered?" you frowned still holding a grudge against him for it but after all he was sick so it's fine.
"now move so I can help you," you tried to step into his apartment but you were stopped by his arm. "you'll also get sick go home," he really wanted you by his side but he was sick. he didn't want to pass it to you too.

"then we can both be sick at least let me give you some medicine," you begged but he still shook his head sticking with his answer.
"shut the door on me and I'll break in anyway."
"I'll call the cops."
"I'M LITERALLY YOUR GIRLFRIEND!?"
"I don't want you getting sick."
"I won't please just let me take care of you," you pleaded and he finally gave in stepping out of the way letting you come in.
"only for a bit," he sighed his head started to hurt and the room began to spin but he held himself together not wanting to look weak in front of you.
"I'll be in my room," he made up an excuse before walking to his room acting totally fine but once he shut his room door he collapsed on his bed.
why was he sick today of all days?
you already knew he was putting an act in front of you and you cracked a smile. small things like these were what made you love him even more.
you wanted to do something for him instead of just having medicine. you set down the plastic bag and went to his kitchen to check if he had the proper ingredients.
he did you wanted to make him some soup to make him feel better. you guessed that he had fallen asleep in his room so he wouldn't even have the chance to kick you out.
and so you got to work.
"xiao are you awake?" you quietly called out as you entered his room with a bowl of soup. it was good timing as xiao had just woken up.
he was laying on his back with his arm over his face resting on his forehead covering his eyes a little. he was staring at the ceiling but when he heard the door open and your voice he quickly sat up.

"you didn't leave?"
"of course not how am I gonna leave my boyfriend to be sick all alone," you frowned setting the bowl of soup on the table beside his bed.
"I'm fine I've always been alone through stuff like this," xiao didn't even realize what he blurted out as he began to rub his head.
"you aren't alone anymore," you assured with a smile. you were sad for him he could barely stand or even get medicine and yet he's done it over and over again alone in the same dark room.
"I'll be back I'm gonna get the medicine," you informed before turning around and walking out the door. xiao bent his leg up and he rested his head on his knee staring at your figure leave the room.
you were the first person in a while to care about someone like him. not even words could describe how much he loves you for this.
you were right he wasn't alone anymore and nor were you.
"is something wrong?" you stood at his door confused at why he was staring so hard at you with a smile. you didn't dare question why he had a smile on since you had no complaints.
"no I just want to admire my girlfriend, can't I do that?"
DON'T DO THIS TO ME
"your fever has gotten to you," you felt flustered as he had called you his own girlfriend. you two were in a relationship you just never heard it from himseld and it felt nice.
"here drink your soup before you say random shit again," you sighed putting down the plastic bag beside you. you were on the floor on your knees beside his bed holding the spoon.
xiao smiled once again at you and you were seriously about to scream. he leaned in sipping the soup, "it's good."
when he finished you gave him his medicine and he was most likely going to get better in two days or so. you just had to continue taking care of him which you had no problem on doing so.
you were organizing the stuff about to take the bowl and put it in the sink to wash it when he called out your name quietly.
"y/n," he called out making you turn to him he was already laying down on his side his eyes barely open once again. he was about to fall asleep but he wanted to do one more thing.
"hm?" you hummed respinding as you stared at him confused until he grabbed your hand pulling it closer to his face.
he didn't do anything with it he simply held your hand intertwining his fingers with yours. he closed his eyes but before he went to sleep holding your hand next to him.
"I love you y/n."
was the last thing he had said before he fell asleep. his light breathing you could feel on your hand. you sat up properly your lips curling into a smile as you stared at him.
you were now stuck here not wanting to part from him or wake him up. you just layed your head on the edge of his bed and closed your eyes.
"I love you too."
