《Lombardi - Finn Shelby》Michael Gray

I was upstairs with Finn but after a while we walked downstairs disrupting Michael and Polly, by accident. They were drinking tea whilst Arthur and John burst through.
"Run for the hills! It's the Digbeth kid!" Arthur shouted, holding his gun flapping it around.
"Get out of the town kid or I will shoot your fucking head off!" John played along. Me and Finn snickered at then and Michael and Polly stood up.
"Times up!" Arthur shouts pretending to fire and John finally noticed the company.
"You're dead, go down. John!" Arthur said waving his gun around still.
Arthur then turned and saw Michael. Thomas soon walked through whilst John and Arthur put their guns away. They both chuckled about Michaels choice of clothing making me giggle a little as well.
"Alright then, Pol. Who's this?" Arthur asked laughing still at Michael.
"Gentleman, this is your cousin. Polly's son Michael." Thomas introduced and I saw Polly put a proud look on her face.
Michael walked over walked over and shook our hands. "Pleased to meet you."
"Sure." John said shaking his hand.
"I'm Arthur. You've met me, I used to throw you out the window so John could catch you." Arthur gestured to John.
"I used to put you in a shoe box and kick you down Watery Lane." John admitted.
"I'm Rose and this is Finn." I said leaning against Finn who put an arm around my waist.
"I bet you're glad to be back." Tommy said smiling.
"I don't remember any of it." Michael laughed. "All I remember is the day they took me away." Polly then walked over to her son, crying, and hugged him.
"Welcome to the Shelby family." Thomas said putting a hand on Michaels shoulder.
"Later we'll show you the ropes." Arthur added and John agreed.
Me and Finn left to get him some new clothes and then we went to the betting shop.
—
I left Finn for a while to give him a break from me. I bet he's sick of me, so I went to go annoy Eva instead.

I knocked on the door a few times until Jeremiah opened the door.
"What do you want?" He asked folding his arms.
"I'm here to see Eva." I said confidently, trying not to act intimidated.
"Oh, um come in her room is to the left upstairs." He let me in and I went straight to Eva's room.
I poked my head through the door and smiled. "Hello Eva." I said finally bursting through.
"Oh hello Rose, what are you doing here?" She asked putting her book on the table.
"Wanted to see if you wanted to hang around or something."
"Yeah sure."
I sat on the floor by her bed and looked up at her. "So tell me about yourself." I said making conversation with her. I didn't really know Eva that well.
"Well, my name is Eva Jesus. I'm fifteen, my brother is Isaiah Jesus" she told me not knowing what to say. "What about you?"
"Me?" I asked and she nodded.
"Well my name is Roseline Lom- Carter, I mean Carter. My name is Roseline Carter, I'm thirteen. I'm really annoying and I enjoy wasting my time just to mess with Finn. That's it really" I shrugged. "I'm half Italian and quarter Irish" I said trying to cover up my mistake.
"What were you going to say?" Eva asked. Oh God, she noticed.
"What do you mean?" I asked pretending to be oblivious.
"You said Roseline Lom, what did you mean by Lom?"
"I stutter some times, sorry it happens out of no where" I replied with an excuse.
"No it's not." Eva said raising her eyebrow at me suspiciously.
"Oh well, lets just put it behind us it doesn't matter." I said flicking my hair away from my face.
"Alright then, so you and Finn?" Eva asked changing the subject.
"What about me a Finn?" I asked totally obliviously.
—
Me and Eva had a fun time but I decided to leave and let her get on. I was walking down the street and I saw Finn, I smiled and waved at him. He ran over and grabbed my hand.

"Where have you been?" He asked bombarding me with questions.
"Calm down I was with Eva." I said putting my hands on his shoulders, to calm him down.
"Oh well, Tommy's having a meeting." he said dragging me with him.
"Do we have too?" I whined.
"Yes." Finn said picking up his pace.
Me and Finn were leant against a bar and Finn was drinking. I took the bottle and took a swig before giving it back. I quickly regretted it though, it tasted disgusting, I tried to get the taste out of my mouth but it didn't work. Never again, never again.
"How can you drink that?" I gagged being interrupted by Polly who came rushing in.
"He wanted to come say hello-." John spike before being interrupted.
"Shut up John." Polly snapped. "There is nothing of interest to Michael here." She sneered stepping back.
"Tommy get on with this." Polly instructed and Finn stepped closer wanting to be in the conversation. Tommy began to talk about how a boy had his throat slit in prison and it made me grimace.
Polly though looked shocked and glared at Tommy. Tommy told everyone to try and get arrested, not everyone of course but the men to be arrested.
"Instead, can't we pinch a car?" One of the men said and most of the men laughed, I didn't understand what was funny though, might just be my humour.
"Well everyone else is getting cars, I'm still on a donkey." He added and people kept laughing however I kept a straight face and I hit Finn for laughing.
Thomas soon talked about the lad, and how it wasn't a funny situation, and everyone stopped laughing instantly. He spoke about spending a thousand guineas on a horse and Polly practically exploded with anger.
"Coppers won't know where to look." Arthur said and John continued.
"We'll be drinking with the king." John added.
"The Darby?" Polly questioned glaring at John. "Did he just say the Darby?" She asked.
"For the last ten years, Sabini's made it his race." Polly looked at Tommy in disbelief as he finished his sentence.
"Did you come up with this in the pub by any chance?" Polly asked looking around at everyone, I mean she had a point, it did sound like a stupid idea.
"We need to diversify the portfolio." Thomas said to Polly. I heard moving around so I looked at the door behind me and I the door opened revealing Michael.
He finally came in and stood next to John.
"I thought I told you to lock that bloody door?" Polly glared at John in anger. Michael spoke about going with them but Polly became more annoyed.
Michael tried to convince her by she wasn't going to give up.
"I'll be alright mum." Michael said pulling the mum card, and I pursed my lips, he can't do that. John and Arthur made some jokes but Polly wouldn't back down.
"Fucking no!" Polly said making him storm out and slam the door. God that was awkward.
"Alright that's it, back to work." Thomas said and everyone left. I kinda wanted to go but I knew I had to ask Polly first and she would say no so I just left it.
—
"Aye up." I said to Finn who was pacing around. "What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing Rose." Finn said sitting down on the couch next to me.
"Are you sure?" I asked moving closer to him.
"It's just that I want to be a part of the group, but I can't." Finn complained.
"It's probably because they want to protect you, their jobs are dangerous Finn. I'm sure that if you got hurt they would end up feeling guilty about it. And your also too young anyway, if you died then that would just be a waste." I said rubbing circles into his back.
"I know but I just want to impress them in some way." Finn admitted.
"Finn I'm sure you impress them all the time, look how you've grown hey? Now come 'ere." I said opening my arms and I crushed him into a hug.

The Trespasser
Synopsis Following his di—instincts, David finds himself in a weird situation; the next thing he knows, he's in a different world, dying, and manhandled by a big-ass alien. When the Source comes to his aid, granting him the access that—like every other sapient—he's due, David barely manages to get out of the fight with his life intact, but is that enough? Of course it isn't. The very Source giving him powers is also poisoning him to death. Oh, there she is, the petite female alien. Will that be enough to save him? Of course it won't. If he wants to be saved, he has first to save himself. The only way to do so is by getting to know the world around him, but even before that... Why the bloody hell did I have to be called Deviant!? *** Blurb? Blurb. The Trespasser starts slowly, I believe I've written a decent world, and I want you to find out what it's all about, won't just throw it in your face because of *levels*. I do not like stories that don't make sense. David is not a murderhobo, he respects life and answers to the world and the weird situations thrown at him with irony and sarcasm; so you are looking for easy killing streaks, you will not find them here. So, a man finds himself into the wild? It's a different world, and yet he can breathe its air? Finds himself in a lucky-low-level zone? Oh, look at that, people speak English—how likely is that? So, nope, not for me, gentleman. You won't find anything of the likes here. Again, a man finds himself in a new world but only thinks about the system? Yeah, that's not exactly how it works. David will try to find out what it's really all about, what the aliens want, how they work, why is that Fay really helping him? You can kill somebody to get levels, and yet there is not even a form of police? Not gonna happen here. Man becomes suddenly overpowered in a world where people can live for thousands of years by having enough luck to face only lower-level people? Hahaha—nope. Lastly...Spaceships and fantasy with LitRPG... say what!? Well, what's wrong with that? Let's make it happen, shall we? *** You want even more info? Really? Alright... David will start from the very bottom of the food chain, so there will be a settling arc—it's inevitable. David will find true companions, with personalities and backstories, and they will have a life of their own. There will be enemies, and those enemies will have a life of their own, too; there will be no evil just because. The world-building will have true depth; it will not exist just because the protagonist visits it. There will be both Fantasy and (Soft) Sci-fi—yeah, you heard that right. There will be rationality to every action taken, as long as the characters are aware of what is going on. There will be a godly system. You will come to read because of the world-building, but you will stay for the characters. The dead stay dead, and you will weep for them. There will be no action without a reaction. Lastly, there will be laughs. Are you still up for it? Then get in but fasten your seatbelts because it's going to be a wild ride. *** Release Days: Twice a week Release Time: ~09:00 PM UTC Words per chapter: ~3000 This web novel is also available on other platforms.
