I turned onto my side and looked at him, "Vance are we friends?" I asked. He side eyed me "uhm yeah I'd say we are. Why?" He said and I just shrugged my shoulders. "Just wondering," I said and smiled. He turned and faced me. I could see his eyes scanning across my face, our eyes met and he brushed a piece of hair behind my ear.

We both moved closer and he put a hand on my cheek.. but all of a sudden Finney walks in and we both sat up. Finney closed the door, "Y/N can you turn the music down, it's loud enough for dad to think you could be doing something your not supposed to be with someone who's not supposed to be in your room," he said and looked at Vance.

I got up and turned the volume down, "sorry Finney," I said as my cheeks burned up. "It's alright, just you know remember dad's just downstairs." I nodded and he walked out.

I sat beside vance and he laughed a bit, "Oh shut up," I said and lay back down. "I can't believe your brother just walked right in, oh my god," he said.

"I'm so embarrassed sorry."

"Don't worry."

"That's so ugh, please please forget about it."

"It's already slipped my mind."

I smiled.

"I'm sure there'll be another chance sometime soon.. somewhere without your brother," he said laughing.

We lay facing eachother for ages and talking about school and things like that. Later on Finney asked when Vance would be leaving as most of his tutor sessions were two hours or less. Vance left shortly after and Finney sat on my bed. "Soo how was that?" he asked. "Good, really good," I said.

"What did you get up to?"

"We just talked, the whole time we just talked."

"Hmmm.. when I walked in it looked like something a little romantic was happening.."

"Maybe.. but you absolutely ruined it."

He laughed, "sorry."

I told him everything that had happened and it was so much fun. I loved it when we talked about who we liked and sure enough Finney talked my ears off about Donna. It was so lovely to see him so happy. Finney had a tough life it was good seeing him smile.

"I'm going to a party with Vance on Friday," I said. "What?! No way why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"It slipped my mind I just remembered there now."

"What are you going to wear?"

"I don't know, I should invite vance back over tomorrow and he can help me pick."

"Uh huh Vance Hopper will help you pick the most amazing outfit you've ever wore."

I rolled my eyes and we both laughed.

Now that Finney knew I genuinely couldn't wait for Friday night. I hope it'll be so good..
